The guide really showed us the sites we wanted to see and told us the stories we wanted to hear. It's a great way to see some of Harlem too!

As a new york native I was both enlighted by this tour as well as sometime a bit ashamed I had no sense of history about where i have called home my whole life. Your tour guide Reggie Reg will not only school you on the history of hip hop culture on a whole but New Yorks rich history. Its a pretty far walk but Reggie keeps you entertained well enough for you not to recognize how far you've walked.

The one speaker gave lots of information but we just walked and walked and he just talked and talked. Pointing out some things as we walked was the extent of the tour. Nothing exciting happened we did not actually go inside any building or viewed any demonstrations. I was very disappointed and so was my 16 year old. We were expecting something exciting to happen. I would have rated this lower but the speaker seemed enthusiastic about hip hop. There just was no substance to the tour.

CWe enjoyed our host, Reggie Reg, who was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Had trouble hearing what he was saying due to street noise. But aside from the graffitti wall of fame (really unique), we did not see much that was specific to hip hop culture or history. Also some stops listed on the web site -- hip hop clubs, oldest record store in Harlem -- were not visited and the Apollo stop was just a brief step into the lobby. The MSNY stop at the beginning, especially the video, had nothing to do with the tour, really. Better would have been a stop to see a video with some of the hip hop performers mentioned by our host.

The information conveyed was interesting. But I wished there had been more discussion between points of interest about the nature of hip-hop culture or some personal stories about the tour leaders experiences with hip-hop. I would still reccomend it for people with an interest in hip-hop.

The tour was pretty sweet. Our guide was awesome, he really opened up and we felt like we'd made a new friend by the end of the tour. We saw a lot of really awesome places from Hip Hop history.

| Unfortunately, the bad weather seemed to cut our tour a little short. We drove in a car, and the first half of the tour was really pretty interesting.. I am thinking that since we drove to the "snack" destination.... instead of walking we were given a shorter version of the tour.
I still enjoyed myself.. and I know that this walking tour is still new... We did not get to see the graffiti wall of fame, which was kind of disappointing.. and our guide was pretty knowledgeable... but also seemed a bit distracted after our "snack" stop...
would consider the bus tour, and hopefully we would get more from that experience...
