Highlight of our NY trip

| The highlight of our recent trip to NYC was the hip hop tour.. We wondered if we would be welcome as we are quite a bit older than hip hop music but nothing could be further than the truth. Raheim, our guide, was informative, knowledgable and eloquent. Not only is the tour a tribute to hip hop, it is also of historical interest as Raheim introduces the tourist to many buildings and places important to Harlem's colourful and varied past. He draws your attention to lots of sites as the tour winds through the streets and neighbourhoods. It was just wonderful to tour Harlem so long a 'no go' area to whites. Wherever we went people hailed Raheim and smiled and chatted with us. Harlem and Raheim were great hosts! Please take this tour of Harlem - Oh! and save room for the wonderful Soul luncheon when the tour is over - $5.00 all you can eat - yum!
By the way we did not tip Raheim. We did not know if we should or not and we should have asked him for his autograph as it will never happen again that one of the creators of a genre personally shows you around his world - a bit like having Picasso show you how he painted a picture! |

| Friendly knowledgeable guide. Good start with the video presentation at the Museum, and fun to walk around listening to music. Relaxed vibe. Good cd. |

| John was terrific. I brought 4 Ca. friends, basically four demanding "president" types. All chiefs, no indians. He sized up the situation very accurately and was able to keep them all happy -- practically an impossiblity. I've known these ladies for 37 years. and this was not an easy task. I, as a musician, loved learning what he said about Hip Hop, something all of us classicists have a hard time understanding. I would very much like to know of a very good tour to hear Gospel singing and some of the the musicians John told me lead your tours. Pls. write me about these. |

| The tour was quite interesting, the graffiti wall of fame was great and our tour guide was wonderful. The only missing part was a Hip-Hop demonstration to top it off! |

| Trip was nice, Reggie gave a good, short summary of Hip Hop history, and was very friendly and open for questions. We visited an exhibition in the Museum of the City of NY ans walked through Harlem, which was quite impressive. All in all I can recommend that tour, especially for those who are not familiar for Hip Hop culture at all and therefore want to have some insight. |

| Very informative tour with enthusiastic and knowledgable guide, although we didn't know much about hip-hop, we learnt a great deal. Would have missed out on this area if we hadn't done the tour. |
