Nice enthusiastic girl that did the tour, but you just go to different shops to pick chocolate and a little history.

Lindsey met us at the first shop and we were immediately impressed with her knowledge and passion of chocolate. We thought it was a" fun thing" to do but by the end of the tour we had a new appreciation for the word Chocolate. You will not be disappointed with this tour. You will cover a good area on foot so wear some comfy shoes! The tour exceeded all of our expectations. "For the love of chocolate!"-Go!

We lucked out and got a private tour as others cancelled. Our guide was amazing and went out of her way to entertain. Definitely recommend and look forward to another tour.

Chocolate Heaven

I felt l I was in chocolate heaven. Fun, delicious and informative. Our guide, Lindsay Jean, was very enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge and love of chocolate. Our only regret was that we did not get to see an actual candy factory in active production as it was a holiday. As Lindsay Jean put it , it was "an enjoyable experience in chocolate molecular gastronomy".

We had a great experience on the tour. The guide was helpful with both the tour and other areas in New York City. The chocolate shops were very friendly also.

Fun "Girly" Time

Went on this tour with my recently high school matriculated daughter as part of her graduation present. The shops visited were very enjoyable/different and the samples delectable. Ended up only visiting 3 chocolate shops (not 5) but also a mini cupcake stand and a cheesecake shop so we weren't disappointed. The enthusiastic guide (a young lady hoping to hit it big as a film actress) was friendly and knew quite a bit about the shops but was not as well versed in the actual details of the chocolate making process. I should know since I was an engineer in the chocolate, coffee and tea industries. But most tourists probably wouldn't mind or care.

Getting a tour of Soho while also enjoying the some unique chocolates was a nice spin on touring a local city. Our guide was knowlegble and energetic. The chocolate shops were all very unique from one another.

Overpriced

Very disappointing and super overpriced! Tour was a combination of visiting 5 stores, tasting all together 10 pieces of chocolate per person, 2 chocolate drinks, and a nice tour guide, we had very pleasant conversations with. However, we could have done this on our own, with-out spending $140 !!!! for 2 persons. The stores we visited was a combination of American and European chocolate makers. Two stores had VERY BAD quality chocolate ( American and Irish) As passionated chocolate lovers remaining chocolate samples landed in the garbage!!! We learned nothing new about chocolate, chocolate making or otherwise. Not recommended at all!!!

Enjoyable Experience

We have previously taken the Midtown chocolate tour, so when we were back in town we signed up for the SoHo tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable and provided good descriptions and suggestions at each stop we made. In future trips we will return to the chocolate shops we visited, but we will not return to the cheesecake shop. While the cheesecake tasted fine, that stop was out of place with the chocolate shops, and we witnessed an employee (owner?) berating our guide over not charging enough on the credit card. If there isn't another chocolate shop in the area to add to the tour, then do a different dessert location that treats others kindly.

Better than expected

I took my husband on this tour as a birthday gift. Lucky for us, it was just the 2 of us. Our tour guide, Linzi Jean, was fantastic. Since it was just us, she was able to spend lots of time telling us about the history of the chocolate shops, as well as other places in NYC. She explained the differences between each shop and offered her recommendations of tastings. The chocolates themselves were better than I expected; the tastes, the textures, each one unique and wonderful. At first you think "only 2 samples per store"..... we actually brought most of the samples home. I'll definitely be stopping back at these shops any time I'm in the city. We'll also be looking to book the SoHo Chocolate Tour and will definitely be requesting Linzi as our tourguide.

So incredible, the chocolate you taste!

I didn't know what to expect "a chocolate tour" through New York. My friend and I saw lots of stores with Belgium chocolate and we were worried that we will be tasting Belgium chocolate. We're from Holland and we know how the Belgium chocolate tastes, so that wouldn't be nothing new. But once we started we got so overwhelmed by the taste of all kind and different tasting chocolate, homemaid chocolate! And not to forget the very enthousiastic guiding by Lynsey! She knows alot about chocolate, the creative people who make the chocolate and the city. In one word INCREDIBLE, in two words INCREDIBLE DELICIOUS! And to everyone who's considering the chocolate tour> JUST DO IT! Linda van Nes

Something Very Different

Who would have thought there were so many chocolate places in NY City? I choose the tour as a surprise for my wife (a chocolate fan). It was a very different way to spend a few hours in the city. A chocolate sample, a short walk, another sample, and so on. Matt, our guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend it.
