Our guide Bert was very down to earth and very easy to talk to. It was like we had known him forever. On top of his knowledge of chocolate, Bert was also able to tell us alot about the different areas in the city and give recommendations of other activities or places to see.
All around a wonderful tour and a great alternative to the other types of tourist activities in the city. The tour was unique and we expecially loved the chocolate factory. We were greeted by the chocolatier who was friendly, very informative and attentive. We were exposed to chocolate we might have not tried otherwise and also had a chance to meet the owner of the factory! |

This is a fabulous tour that should not be missed! Our well informed, personable and wonderfully funny guide, Bert, was the best ever! We stopped at 5 Chocolate shops that each had something different to offer, and he explained each style & flavor in detail to us so we could make informed decisions for our tastings. It was a walking tour that seemed conveniently spread out in Soho so that we got just enough exercise between chocolate binging...I mean tastings. We had such a variety...who knew there was a "green olive" chocolate...and I loved it! We even tasted chocolates that were so beautifully decorated that it seemed a crime to eat them (but we did)...we had others that were filled with liquid Champagne! We will definitely do this again on our next visit...and you should, too! Don't let our ages fool you...we are still young in body & mind. |

We had an awesome guide (Burt) and we were very informed in all the aspects of chocolate. Would recommend it to visitors as well as locals. |

I was there early, very much looking forward to the tour, but somehow I missed it. I swear I was there, looking around, waiting for some one to make some type of announcement or hold a sign or something. No dice. But when I called the lady (who was very nice btw) with the company, I was told that 12 other people were had been picked up and they all made the tour!
Was the tour walking or riding on a bus? Just curious.
One problem could be that Sacks fifth avenue has at least 2 exits. Perhaps in future you could specify which one? I was walking back and forth between them, so as not to miss the tour, and maybe I missed the tour that way?
Also, maybe you could have your tour person make some kind of announcement or something to ensure that everyone gets picked up?
I guess if no one else has this problem then maybe it's me. :)
Anyway, have a nice life. |

my friend and i recently went on the union square chocolate tour. bert, our guide, was fun and personable. it felt like it wasn't so much a tour with a guide than some friends walking around nyc. the chocolate was delicious and so were the other pastries we were able to try. we had a great time |

What a great way to celebrate my mom's "special" birthday! We learned so much and I will never look, taste or smell chocolate the same way. We had a knowledgeable and patient guide and it was truly great fun! I recommend it highly. |

The group was small and the guide absolutely lovely. The guide had readjusted the venues which we would visit based on the date on which we were going and it worked out perfectly. NO ONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT CHOCOLATE THAN HE DID! it was just so absolutely pleasant that I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in chocolate. Not only were we provided with tasty chocolate, but also with a bit of history to each venue we visited along with explanations regarding the individual chocolates.
I was floored when our guide was able to recommend to us in which order we should eat our chocolate for full taste effect along with which way around(!!) to eat it to get the right taste.
this was just absolutely enjoyable. |

What a great tour, the chocolate tasting was great and our tour guide was very informative. We did mention that it was our 38th anniversary so maybe an extra piece of the deliciious chocolate (not candy) would have been special. Will recommend it to anyone. The chocolatiers were also very gracious and polite. Thanks |

Bert (the tour guide) was friendly and extremely knowlegable. The tour group was a good size. The chocolate is amazing and I learned a lot! The only down side was that if you take a tour in the warm weather you cannot bring chocolate home as easily. I am already planning my next tour. Don't eat a big lunch before the chocolate tour! |

I really enjoyed the balance of chocolate and non-chocolate items since you can get worn out from so much sweet deliciousness! Tour was fun, social, great guide, nice places and amazing food. Highly recommend this to anyone who lives in another neighborhood. I'll certainly be back to some of the locations when I visit in the future. |

We have been on two New York Cultures Tours and they have both been fantastic.
Last year we did the Food and Culture Tour with Berry.
This year we did the Wine and Chocolate Culture tour with Burt.
As I have said ,both were great, Burt and Berry are excellent guilds.
We have recommended these tours to our friends who have all a great and informative time on the tours.
When we plan our next visit to nyc a New York Tour with yourselves is a must.
Kind regards. |

The pace for this tour was good, we visited 5 locations with samples at each. As a local I wanted to be introduced to places I did know. The discovery of the Maribel shop was a gem. The tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I would recommend this tour. |

This was a fun tour. Of course the chocolate tasted great and we were encouraged to try unusual tastes. Also, the tour guide was excellent and the tour was leisurely. We learned a lot about how chocolate was made as well as background on how each of the shops got started. The area of the city (SoHo) was also fun to see. Probably best not to do this tour in very hot weather. |
