Very intersting tour with interesting shops. Information was quite enough. A good selection of different chocolate shops. May were interested in more tasting . I would recommend a better meeting place. Saks is to crowdy. |

I went on the NYC New Cuisine Chocolate Tour and it was amazing. I tried all kinds of chocolates that I have never seen or tasted before and it was unique experience. I also proposed to my girlfriend on this tour and the tour guide, Bert was so helpful and helped me set everything up and it was perfect! I highly recommend going on this tour, you won't regret it! I am definitely going back on the Luxuxy tour next time! |

I am not a chocolate lover at all, but my girlfriend is and I booked the tour as a birthday present for her. Being a non-chocolate lover, I really enjoyed the tour very much! That's how good it is. The guide was very good, and he was very helpful and friendly. My girlfriend enjoyed the trip so much, she called it the best tour she ever had. I know that there were 2 people who couldn't make it to the tour, and at all the chocolate shops we visited, the tourguide made sure that those 2 persons got their share of the samples as well. That is extremely thoughtful of him. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone. |

I got tickets to this as both a valentine's day gift for my chocoholic husband as well as a birthday gift for my sister-in-law. We all went together and had a great time. Discovered some wonderful new places and just really enjoyed spending the day out together in this manner.
Aside from the fact that all the chocolate along the way was absolutely divine, the tour itself is a very original and fun way to spend an afternoon in mid-town. |

This was a fun tour.
My sister and I wanted to do something fun and different in NYC and we love chocolate so this was perfect.
The first stop we paired 2 pieces of chocolate with 2 different wines. Great start.
Next we stopped at a shop and had a choice of 4 pieces of chocolate.
We stopped at city bakery and were served a huge chocoate chip cookie and some frozen hot chocolate. yum.
We stopped at another shop and were given a little bag of 4 chocolates. This shop had samples of some of their cakes too.
Last stop we had 2 pairings of chocolate with its matching liquor.
Bert was a genuinely nice tour guide and had lots of information to share.
Be prepared to walk. My sister and I love walking so it was a plus for us considering how much we were eating. We started at 31st street and ended at around 4th.
Some other reviews talked about how there was too much chocolate but if you save the packaged chocolates for later, it's perfect. I also liked how it wasn't all chocolate pieces and the cookie and chocolate drink was a welcome surprise. |

The tour provided more than samples of heavenly chocolate. It included interesting information about the diversity and creativity of the chocolatiers, much of which I would not have known existed. Imagine a luscious tomato/basil chocolate! The enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide was an added bonus and I believed inspired a diverse group to have a great time together and ensure we will never look at chocolate quite the same way again.I can't think of anyone who is really into chocolate who wouldn't love this tour. |

I really enjoyed the balance of chocolate and non-chocolate items since you can get worn out from so much sweet deliciousness! Tour was fun, social, great guide, nice places and amazing food. Highly recommend this to anyone who lives in another neighborhood. I'll certainly be back to some of the locations when I visit in the future. |

Our guide Bert was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable regarding the making of chocolate. It was wonderful to walk the neighborhoods, get information about what we saw, as well as learn about the different nuances of each shops selection of chocolate. I will recommend it to all of my friends traveling to NYC as somehting unique and different to try. |

Uncaring Company

I was greatly looking forward to my tour but an unexpected and unannounced cancellation of trains in and out of Grand Central terminal occurred on the morning of our tour, leaving us no way to get in to the city. We had given the company over an hour's notice of the rare incident and they were not flexible with allowing us to reschedule the tour. I believe this reflects a poor business policy for this occurrence was beyond our control and there was nothing we could do about it. I was extremely disappointed in the way that the NYC Luxury Chocolate Tour handled this unique situation and therefore do not recommend this company to anyone! Beware of unfair and uncaring staff! |

We took the tour on a very hot day in mid-July 2008. For whatever reason, the other participants (not our party) had cancelled - leaving just the two of us with the guide. It was very professional of them not to cancel the whole tour. This left us to enjoy a "private tour". The tour is nice - there is some walking but the distances are not great. The chocolate shops are high-quality. There are 5 shops, and the tour includes 2 pieces of chocolate at each shop. And that is plenty! Plus, there is the opportunity to purchase... |

It was a lot of fun and me and my wife learned a lot. but we thought it was not worth the $70.00 if you did like at least 3 more stops. which would be 8 stops it will be worth the $70.00
I say for $50.00 is a better price. |

Linzi, our tour guide was brilliant. She made everyone on the tour comfortable and her knowledge of chocolate and the shops was impressive. I was blown away by her ability to educate on a fun and informative level whether dealing with one of the youngsters or an old cocoa snob like myself.
The walking tour was just the right length in time and blocks covered. The chocolate sampled on the tour, went from delectable and delicious, to downright decadent in quality and epicurean experiance. |
