My sister was in town visiting for her birthday weekend in NYC and we took the tour with Bert on a Friday afternoon. It was fantastic. As a local New Yorker, I had visited some of the chocolate shops on the tour, but most of them were a new experience for me -- they were all fabulous. Bert was an excellent tour guide -- extremely knowledgable about the art and history of chocolate. My sister and I had a great time (we were a bit spoiled too, because it was just the two of us, and it was like having a private tour guide). My understanding and appreciation of fine chocolate has gone way up. Loved it!

My husband surprised me with the NYC Luxury Chocolate Tour and it was wonderful. Our tour guide Bert was fun and extremely knowledgeable about the history of chocolate. The 2.5 hour tour took us to chocolate shops we never would have known about and every shop had a different story. The tasting allowed you to try different types of chocolate from rich dark chocolate to creamy milk chocolate. If you are looking for something unique to do in this great city I highly recommend this tour.

Nice tour for chocolate lovers

We took a Sunday tour and had a nice time. As other individuals had cancelled, my wife and I were the only ones on the tour. We appreciated the fact that they did not cancel the tour on us and our guide gave us a private tour. She was excellent and very informative. We enjoyed the tastings. The one negative that we had was a lack of interaction with the staff or owner of the shops we visited. While our guide was great, it would have been nice to get another perspective on their business. The lack of communication with the shops staff resulted in the only drawback of being the only two people on the tour. Out tastings went very fast and tour did not last near as long as the described time on the brouchere. It would have been nice to spread out the chocolate tastings a little bit. We would have enjoyed the chocolate more.

First of all, our guide was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and very down to earth. The tour itself was lots of fun and lots of food. I would have preferred another chocolate stop instead of the cheesecake but the two friends I was with disagreed and thought the cheesecake was a welcome change from chocolate. I would definitely consider other tours given by this company.

Learned more about quality chocolate that could be imagined. Every stop was truely an indulgence fit for kings, queens and emperors. Could one get too much chocolate? This tour will certainly get you on your way. Only the best of imported chocolates. We highly recomend this tour for any chocolate lover

My sister and I took the luxury chocolate tour yesterday, on a weekend getaway in the city. It was FANTASTIC! Our tour guide, Bert, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very flexible. He gave us detail about each of the shops we visited, and answered all of the group's questions. He enjoys giving the tour, and it's obvious to the participants - he enjoys what he does, and he's good at it! I know a lot about chocolate already, but I learned some things that I didn't know from Bert. He was very patient whenever anyone wanted to browse or purchase, but he kept the tour moving along so no one got bored. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys eating quality chocolate, whether you live in the city or are just visiting. I plan on not only trying the other Zerve tours, but taking this one again sometime!!

Good tour. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgable. Probably won't do again because it was pricey. Walked alot and seemed a little quick at time. Guide knew LOTS. Maybe a little more conversation and not so technical, however she was extremely nice!

A friend and I went on this tour when we were visiting from the DC area. We had a great time! Not only was the chocolate fabulous, but the tour was very informational and Burt is fantastic! At first, I was a little hesitant due to the price, but it was a great value for what we had. Each shop had 2 - 3 things for us to try and they were all very welcoming. There was no pressure at any time - to buy, to hurry up, to not ask questions, etc. It was all very relaxed. My friend and I plan on doing the two other chocolate tours now that we've been through this one.

THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE MOMENTS OF MY WEEKEND TRIP TO NEW YORK. I RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE WHO LIKE ME LOVES CHOCOLATE.

Went and started off good. Got a small piece of chocolate from 2 places. However, the tour guide led us through a parade and we got separated. He didn't pay attention to the group when traveling to locations; he just had small talk with people.

Better than expected

I took my husband on this tour as a birthday gift. Lucky for us, it was just the 2 of us. Our tour guide, Linzi Jean, was fantastic. Since it was just us, she was able to spend lots of time telling us about the history of the chocolate shops, as well as other places in NYC. She explained the differences between each shop and offered her recommendations of tastings. The chocolates themselves were better than I expected; the tastes, the textures, each one unique and wonderful. At first you think "only 2 samples per store"..... we actually brought most of the samples home. I'll definitely be stopping back at these shops any time I'm in the city. We'll also be looking to book the SoHo Chocolate Tour and will definitely be requesting Linzi as our tourguide.

Enjoyable tour - I would have liked to see a chocolate factory in operation in addition to the chocolate tempering demonstration.
