| Wonderful!! We booked the photo tour on a recommendation of a friend...and she was so correct!! As a first time visit we were a little apprehensive about where to go..what to do...to stay safe. After our photo tour we owned New York!!!! Our photographer took us on the subway...explained how safe New York was....told us tips on how the city ran....where NOT to go....where to go....it was wonderful.....we visited Little Italy...SoHo....Grenwhich Villiage...China Town.....places we probably would not have felt comfortable going to if our photographer had not explained it all to us.We had two teenage girls with us and they felt safe enough to strike out on their own to shop!! Plan on taking trip to New York next year and will do the photo tour again....highly recommend it... | ||||||

| I am a travel agent who has absolutely NO pics of the trips that I have gone on. I stumbled across this tour and thought we would give it a go. I just got home and stuck the CD in my computer and I couldn't be happier. Recommendations: 1) Leave your bag/backpack at your accommodations. The tour is fast paced and there is no time to be stopping and putting things down. (This being said, there is a lot of quick paced walking and isn't suitable for people who have mobility issues). 2) Take a few props... ie: a hat, sunglasses, scarves etc... just so that you can switch things up a bit in the photos-- props that are easily adorned.. Other than that... I found that this tour is extremely unique and in my opinion, it shouldn't be missed. | ||||||

| We started off in our hotel lobby at 8am and couldn't believe what we had actually seen by 11. Amazing! Mark was a bit perterbed we ran 15 min late but quickly warmed up and showed us how to use the subway, must see return attractions, amazing foto ops and the best pics I've ever had taken on vacation. I recommend anyone coming to NYC who doesn't know the city to well, to do take this walking tour, I must have burned at least 450 calories!! LOVED every minute of it and would do it again (a different one) next time I"m in town. | ||||||

| "Ah, New York, New York, all it is said to be and much much more. Mark's photo tour was grand. (and so are the photos). We have never been in so many pictures together. For "first timers" this is an ideal way to see a large part of the city. Do it on the first day you are kicking about as you will see many many places that you may wish to come back to. We did!!!! Mark is a wealth of knowledge in the history and the details of this great city from Central Park to SoHo to the Brooklyn Bridge. Great tip on a restaurant for post tour lunch. Well worth the price. | A great Tour with memories that will last forever! A very knowledgeable and friendly private guide in New York City is what everyone needs! Getting to pick our locations for photos was great and we felt like stars, lol, it was great fun! The Brooklyn bridge is amazing and I don't think we would have walked it if not for this tour. We also took the subway which was great. Seemed like way longer than 2 hours. I had my own camera in New York but out of my 800 photos I'm not in many, this tour's photos also caputured the ambience of New York way better that I ever could have, and I was taught a few photo taking tricks along the way so thanks! | WOW! This is a MUST DO! PHENOMENAL!!! Took my daughter to NYC and Marc took us on a 3 hr. tour.... We seen more w/ Marc in those 3 hours than we did in the 4 days prior to our tour.... This is incredible!!! So worth the time and money!!! ABSOLUTE best time and experience you'll have! Marc is fantastic and the best w/ his tour! Our pictures were out of this world! Beautiful! Can't wait to come back to NYC and do this tour again!!! Marc takes you ALL OVER NYC to all different locations!!! It's just so much fun!!! | Having read many past affirmative reviews of this tour, my husband and I decided it would be worth the risk! He had never been to New York City before, so I thought the overview from the tour guide would be rewarding for my husband especially. Truthfully, there is no risk involved! We bought the 3 hr. tour and were very, very happy that we opted for the longer tour! Our guide, Marc, was punctual, personable, & excited to show us as much of his city as time permitted. Thus, we walked at a brisk pace during much of the tour, but he was most willing to stop and let us catch our breaths as needed! Marc took an abundance of poses, was full of interesting facts, and delivered his CD as promised promptly the next day to our hotel! He will gear his tour toward any of your particlar needs, but wear comfortable walking shoes especially!!! Don't let this oportunity pass! We're recommending it to any of our friends, even if they've been to NYC one or several times before! | ||||||

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our phototrek tour with Marc! As it was our honeymoon we wanted to get some pics of us together and what a perfect way to do so! We also got lots of tips and ideas from Marc who knew the city very well. Not only did we get some great pics but we also got a great tour of the city, going places we would not have known about and getting a real feel for New York! Thanks Marc! | ||||||

| I had stumbled onto this tour on the nycgo.com site and at first I was a little hesitant at spending the money, but after I saw the example pictures on the website I knew I wanted to go on this photo trip. As the date got closer I noticed there were a lot more mixed reviews and again I became nervous that maybe it wasn't worth the money. I booked the tour anyway. I've been on many vacations in the past and I am a bit shy and find it very difficult to ask people to take a photo of our group... the worst feeling is asking someone to take your picture and then looking at it afterwords and realizing it's a horrible shot and you don't want to ask them to re-take it because it's rude. My boyfriend and I have been on a couple of vacations and we hardly have any pictures of ourselves together so we splurged for this so that we would finally have some. There is SO much to see in New York and you are going to want pictures of EVERYTHING. It was a simple process to buy the tickets (we did the 2 hour Best of New York), you receive clear directions where to meet and your photo tour starts right away. He asked us about different itinerary options so that he could get a feel of what kinds of pictures we wanted. He was very friendly and knew his way around the city very well. You do walk at a faster pace but it's all for your benefit, more pictures! We went to NYC last week just after Independance Day during a heat wave, temperatures hovering around 100 degrees and it was VERY VERT hot and humid. When I found it a little difficult to keep up with the pace he assured me that we could stop and slow down and work at my pace so that I was comfortable. I was sweating a lot so I constantly had to wipe my face so that my face wasn't shiny in the photos. He even bought me a bottle of water! I had my hair down (I have long hair) and when the wind would blow it in my face he would make a point to tell me to move my hair away. He offered lots of tips on directions and things to do. I went mainly for the photo aspect, I think some people are expecting a tour guide that will tell you all the history about certain things. Yes he does know quite a bit but chances are you will be going on a city tour of some sort (like the double decker buses), expect that from them and not this guy. He said he would deliver the cd with the photos by Friday and they were there by Thursday. Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes. I LOVE MY PICTURES, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I would definitely do this again if I was traveling with someone else! : ) | ||||||

| I am usually the one taking pictures and this time, I got to be in them! Marc was fun and we learned a lot on his tour. I highly recommend this tour...especially to moms who usually never get to be in family photos!!! This price may seem high, compared to some other tours, but the pictures are worth a million dollars! So, it really is a great deal! | ||||||

| This tour is amazing, especially if you are a couple, especially if you are on a special trip to New York. Most of our photos are normally of either me or my husband taking it of each other, or one of those photos where you stick your arm out and hope to get both of you in the picture and very rarely the thing behind you to show where you are. This tour enables you to capture special memories of both of you (or the whole group) in the most amazing city in the world. It has really given us some amazing pictures to remember our trip to New York. I would definitely recommend this tour. | ||||||

| Marc met us in Times Square and asked us what we were looking for, where we wanted to go, do , etc.. He used his experience and knowledge of the city to make suggestions and make this a great activity! Marc gave us a lot of history and personal insights into the various areas of NYC as we traveled, while taking a lot of great photos with unmistakable New York landmarks in the background. Thank you Marc for taking us on the subway and your helpful suggestions of more attractive areas to visit farther away from out hotel.. After our tour with you we were not intimidated as to how the subway system operated or how secure it was; the subway became our primary means of transportation for the rest of our stay.
