| I was very excited about this tour (so excited in fact that I booked it 6 months in advance!) and it didn't disappoint. We did the tour back in September and Mark was fantastic. We covered so much ground in 3 hours - started in Times Square for some photos that we never would have got by ourselves then to Central Park, Grand Central, Upper West Side, Brooklyn Bridge, SoHo and we even got some shots on the subway. He taught us how to use the subway and we used it constantly for the rest of our stay. After the tour we felt comfortable in the city, on the subway and got a great set of photos the next day to remember how much we loved New York. Thanks Mark for a great tour!! | ||||||

| Marc was extremely knowledgeable of the city and a great guy to spend the day with. I myself had been to the city many times and Marc still was showing me side streets and places I never knew existed. As you can imagine, for my girlfriend(being her first time in the city), it was a great way to see Manhattan!!! I would recommend Marc to anyone that is visiting New York and even if you live there and just want to get some great photos of you and your family around the city. With 111 pictures over a 2 hour tour I would say our day in the city couldn't have been captured any better! Thanks Marc!!!! | ||||||

| During the 5 days we stayed in New York City the Photo Tour was the best thing to expirience. It was interesting, cool and different than other things..... Marc (our guide and photographer) did his job great..... Next time when we will be in New York will will do it again, for sure.... Lost of thanks and regards to Marc.... | This was my second time on the PhotoTrek Tour. Mark took that into account, and took us to a lot of New York we hadn't seen before. We loved the tour, and the pictures were a wonderful addition. | ||||||

| My cousin and I went on the PhotoTrek Tour the second day of our trip. Without the tour, we would never have been able to see Times Square, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and SOHO all in one day. He made us feel very comfortable with the subways, and the pictures were great. It rocked! | ||||||

| Our "custom" tour was fabulous - couldn't have asked for more or better! Marc is a great walking partner, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hours. Watching those double-decker tour buses roll by reminded us how lucky we were to be seeing Manhattan through the eyes of a New Yorker and at ground level! | ||||||

An authentic New York experience

| Marc agreed to take on our three member family group (husband, wife and 24 year old daughter/stepdaughter) from Australia, even though my husband suffers from MS and needed to use an electric scooter to join the tour. Marc soon learned our limitations and capabilities and his familiarity with New York allowed him to adapt his tour to suit. We trekked through Times Square, saw places in Central Park we probably wouldn't have found on our own in the time available, experienced the upper west side, caught a cab through Soho to the Brooklyn Bridge and took the subway to Grand Central Station, all the while being photographed with the best backgrounds New York has to offer. Marc admitted that he had been nervous about taking our group on tour and we are extremely grateful that he did. His local knowledge allowed him to push us to do things we might have otherwise avoided, such as packing the collapsible scooter into the trunk of a taxi and also catching the subway, which we were thrilled about because we had thought we wouldn't be able to ride it. To us, Marc seemed like a stereotypical New Yorker; a bit pushy, uninhibited, loud and gruff, although we did get him to smile at least once by the end of the tour. Be prepared to walk fast over fairly long distances and do practice your group posing before the trip. Marc does give some direction about how to pose but the nature of the tour doesn't allow much time for each shot. You, not the scenery (as good as it is) will be the focus of each picture. So if you care about such things, dress to impress, apply the makeup and practice the smile. The only thing that disappointed me about the tour was my own lack of preparedness to be photographed. We would recommend this tour to anyone travelling to New York. You will end up with a wonderful set of photographs, beautifully shot in great locations, without having to carry a camera and with your whole group in every shot (or as in our case, various groupings to suit the dynamics of the family). I should also mention that Marc does know his town and gives good commentary about what you are seeing as well as helping with any specific enquiries you may have. We needed to find the KidRobot store in lower Manhattan. Marc was familiar with it and gave us good directions for getting there. Well done Marc and thanks for a wonderful tour on a hot day in Manhattan! | ||||||

| This was the best part of our trip to New York! Marc was the most professional and fun person we dealt with in New York. I booked this for my two sisters and I, we had a blast. He was awesome with getting us familiar with New York and took us to so many places we would have never thought of. It was so much fun, that I convinced him to squeeze us into his schedule for the next day. That’s right I booked him for two days! The photos are awesome and capture us/ our personalities with the most beautiful landmarks and backdrops you can imagine. By the time my tours were over with Marc I felt very comfortable with all the streets and subways. This is the best way to get familiar with New York if you have never been. Plus, let’s face it, how many people do you know can say that got a professional photographer to capture their moments with their loved ones to guide them through New York. Treat yourself your on vacation be part of the picture not the one taking it!!! | ||||||

| It was nice having pictures of my husband and myself rather than just one of us or having to bug strangers take our picture. Our tour guide was very energetic and had alot of knowledge to share about NY. He was creative with his photo's and they turned out wonderful! | ||||||

| We would recomend anyone coming to new york to try out a photo trek tour. Not only have we got some great photos but our guide Marc made the tour interesting and pointed out areas that we would not have visited but for this tour. We now have some photos of new york that would have been impossible without this tour. Ten out of Ten | ||||||

| My wife and I where visiting New York from Australia as part of a Birthday gift to my wife and purchased the four-hour tour. Marc Samuels provided a wonderful and enthusiastic service. Mr Samuels’s obvious enthusiasm for his native New York was infectious and my wife and I not only enjoyed the photographs but also the fabulous guided tour. | We took the "Best of New York" tour, and it was the highlight of our trip. Marc, our guide took us all over, got us around on the subway, pointed out items of interest we should go back and spend more time seeing (and explained how to get back to them), and showed things and took us places an ordinary tourist might not get to see. On top of all that, he took dozens and dozens of great pictures of group all over the city. I would strongly, strongly recomend this tour!!! | ||||||

| Was disappointed with overall value - expected more as many pictures were the same type of mug and headshots that a stanger on the street could have taken - expected more from a professional photographer and thought there would be more creativity in action-type of pictures, use of props along the way and recommendations on different poses (instead of so many mugshots) We did several tours while in NY for a week - overall, this photo tour was our least favorite (but most expensive) -- it's OK to do if you have time to fill but would not recommend as a "must do while in NY." | ||||||
