| Marc agreed to take on our three member family group (husband, wife and 24 year old daughter/stepdaughter) from Australia, even though my husband suffers from MS and needed to use an electric scooter to join the tour. Marc soon learned our limitations and capabilities and his familiarity with New York allowed him to adapt his tour to suit. We trekked through Times Square, saw places in Central Park we probably wouldn't have found on our own in the time available, experienced the upper west side, caught a cab through Soho to the Brooklyn Bridge and took the subway to Grand Central Station, all the while being photographed with the best backgrounds New York has to offer. Marc admitted that he had been nervous about taking our group on tour and we are extremely grateful that he did. His local knowledge allowed him to push us to do things we might have otherwise avoided, such as packing the collapsible scooter into the trunk of a taxi and also catching the subway, which we were thrilled about because we had thought we wouldn't be able to ride it. To us, Marc seemed like a stereotypical New Yorker; a bit pushy, uninhibited, loud and gruff, although we did get him to smile at least once by the end of the tour. Be prepared to walk fast over fairly long distances and do practice your group posing before the trip. Marc does give some direction about how to pose but the nature of the tour doesn't allow much time for each shot. You, not the scenery (as good as it is) will be the focus of each picture. So if you care about such things, dress to impress, apply the makeup and practice the smile. The only thing that disappointed me about the tour was my own lack of preparedness to be photographed. We would recommend this tour to anyone travelling to New York. You will end up with a wonderful set of photographs, beautifully shot in great locations, without having to carry a camera and with your whole group in every shot (or as in our case, various groupings to suit the dynamics of the family). I should also mention that Marc does know his town and gives good commentary about what you are seeing as well as helping with any specific enquiries you may have. We needed to find the KidRobot store in lower Manhattan. Marc was familiar with it and gave us good directions for getting there. Well done Marc and thanks for a wonderful tour on a hot day in Manhattan! | ||||||

| we booked the photo tour on the recommendation of friends who used it in April 2008. we were in new york as a family to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so this was a special occasion and we wanted good photos of all of us, some of which we could frame when home. the tour was so much more than just good photos. firstly mark was a very friendly and enthusiastic person who immediately made us feel at ease. we felt like celebrities! he took us on the subway which was something we hadnt done on our own but was great to do with someone with local knowledge. secondly he took us on a whirlwind tour all the time giving wee snippets of information which entertained the whole family age 10 years and up. he was flexible and if there was a picture you particularly wanted he would try his best to get it. we weren't able to get a slot prior to us leaving but i took the phone number and phoned once in new york and Marc accommodated us. he was even able to change the day/time due to inclement weather. We had our tour only a few hours before flying home and by the time we arrived home we could view the pictures online via a link that marc emailed to us. the hard disc arrived within 5 days. | ||||||

| As first-timers to NYC, Marc's tips were very handy. We learned how to navigate the subway system and the streets of NYC. Our two-hour tour began in Times Square, hit highlights along Fifth Avenue, through Central Park, onto the subway, to a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Marc worked with us when the airline cancelled our flight and put us in a real jam. The airline also lost our luggage with our walking shoes inside. This tour requires sneakers to keep pace with Marc. This tour is NOT a leisurely walk around the city. Be prepared to walk at a brisk pace to fit it all in. The photo CD was delivered to our hotel the very next day. You see so much, it leaves your head spinning. Thankfully, you'll have a ton of photos to remember it all. | ||||||

| Great opportunity to learn about the city. I have not recieved our photo's yet, but we had a great time with Mark. He was very professional and took tons of photos. We did this tour last, I would reccomend doing it first because Mark has great insight on NYC. Good info on subway usage and areas to visit. This tour comes highly recommended! | ||||||

| Mark our tour guide was awesome. He taught us how to "catch" a ride on the subway and at the same time how to not get lost in New York! He was prompt, courteous and very patient with our little six year old. His tour was alot of fun and we got to see some great sights, we especailly enjoyed walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The tour was worth every cent that we paid for it and then some. I would highly recommend it! | ||||||

| We were in New York for 2 1/2 days and I wanted to get some sight seeing done without wasting alot of our precious time. This was the perfect activity! Mark was great and kept the tour moving while allowing us time at the different spots to take in the sights. He customized the tour so that we could focus on the areas we wanted too and skip the sights we had already seen. The pictures were great and something we will cherish forever as you can't otherwise get the shots. And we were able to pick them up the next morning before catching our flight. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wants a TON of great pictures, wants to see great sights and especially if your time is limited. | ||||||

| Marc was brilliant and so friendly.He showed us around his NewYork and tailored it to our expectations.His photos really captured the fun and excitment that comes with visiting new york. Marc knew all the best locations and explained the subway and so much about New York to us.We visited areas we would never have found by ourselves and feel we discovered the real new york. The photos are brilliant and Marc got the disc to us by 8am the next day. We can't recommend it enough.It will be the best part of your trip to New York. The photos in Central Park and on the Brooklyn Bridge are amazing and he also took us to Carrie's Brownstone stoop!! book now and you won't be disappointed. | ||||||

| We did not want to have to keep asking random strangers to take our picture just so we could get some pictures of us together. We are very happy with the pictures that we got, they look great and we got to see lots of the city's hot spots. Mark was very helpful and he gave us great information and advice. This is a great tour and well worth the price, your pictures will speak for themselves. | ||||||

| The tour gives you a GREAT feeling of NYC and really helps to understand the many sites/locations of the city. I'm recommending Marc Samuels to anybody that we know who visits here to personally give the tour. He shared his knowledge of the city with us and is a great listener too. He had lot of positive energy like we're his good friends from the past. We started in Central Park, visited the local neighborhoods, walked by Columbus Circle, Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station (whispering corners I liked), subway rides/educated us on this (very very helpful), Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, Soho, Litte Italy and on and on. The walk up the Brooklyn bridge was exciting. When we were in the middle of the bridge, the views were so beautiful. As with Central Park and all of the other areas, we were able to appreciate the sites we've only known from television. We know now that every time we go anywhere we will be commenting on this tour. The day after our tour with Marc, we were with my brother & sister in-law and wanted to go see the cast of RENT in Bryant park. The great part was that we were able to lead the way. The tour was so complete in that we remembered how to get around to many of the places we visited just by following Marc's comments and directions. In short, we had a FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, EVENTFUL time all made so much better because of our tour with Marc. Thank you very much. | Marc was so friendly and helpful... the rest of our trip was so much better because of this tour. Not only did we have pictures to remember our vacation with, but he helped us with the subway system, how to work it, and saved us a lot of walking! The pictures were fantastic, and I loved every one of them. I definitely recommend this tour... however next time I would do it on the first day we would be in town as it would have saved us a lot of frustration in trying to get around. | ||||||

| Marc provides a great tour of the city. He customized it to our needs and shared some great tips along the way. We had a terrific time, and the photos were outstanding. They arrived at our hotel the next day. If you are traveling to New York, this is a "must see" tour. It's well worth the money. | ||||||
