| Marc was an excellent tourguide and photographer who helped us to capture life long memories in photos! We saw NYC as a local would, walking and taking the subway from one location to the next and we saw and learned things that cannot come out of a tour book. Its the first vacation (ever) that we have family photos from which included all 4 of us, and Marc's photo quality and the way that he made sure that the landmarks were part of each photograph, can not be rivalled by the types of amateur photos we would have taken. We had children with us and yet we always felt that our safety was Marc's priority and he kept his eye on all of us at all times. This was an excellent experience for all and we have already recommended it to all of our friends and family! | ||||||

| Marc joined us on a tour of the city to capture our wedding day with our friends and family both locals and out of town guests. He was professional, efficient, knowledgeable and entertaining. | I took my 16 year old son, Jason, on our first Father/Son trip to NYC for a New Years Eve in Times Square adventure. We are from Mississippi and neither of us had ever travelled to NYC so, honestly, we were more than a little nervous coming to this giant city. On vacations in the past we would always have to take pictures of us individually or together at arms length. That's no fun so we decided to try out the Best of New York tours, see the city and have some great shots made of BOTH of us. To make the most of the journey we opted for the three hour tour, which I highly recommend you do if you really want to see NYC at it's heart! Marc from PhotoTrek Tours met us at our hotel right on time and off we went. Marc is a fantastic guy! Very friendly and knowledgeable! He took us all over the city, showing us how to navigate the subway system and learn the street grids. We walked through and learned all about SOHO (which I now know means "South of Houston - pronounced How-sten), Greenwich Village, Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge. While planning this trip we knew we wanted to see the Empire State, the Statue of Liberty and all of the typical New York sites. Well, we did that but the Best of New York tour showed us much more than that. We truly saw the Best of New York. We saw the heart of the city in the Greenwich Village neighborhoods with the small shops and restaurants. We walked under the arches of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate the best pizza I have ever tasted at Bleeker St Pizza ( highly recommended by Marc and now me). It was like I told Marc, Times Square may be the "shock" but the Village and SOHO were the "Ahhhh!" We rode the subways and took photos in Times Square with the hundreds of yellow cabs whizzing by. I can honestly say that our trip would not have been so successful or been as much fun if we had not taken this tour. As promised, Marc brought a CD of all of our photos to our hotel the next morning and, now that I am home and have had time to review them, all I can say is WOW! Dozens and dozens of great shots that my son and I will always cherish! If you have never been to New York and want a great way to see the sites (and more!) and have some great pictures and memories then you will be missing out if you don't book a PhotoTrek Tour! Thanks again Marc for an amazing adventure! 5 stars doesn't come close to the rating you deserve! If I could leave 10 that still might not be enough!! Excellent tour!! Thanks! | I took my daughter to NYC for a 16th birthday trip. This was her first time visiting NYC and she knew in advance what she wanted to do---see WICKED! To give her an 'overview" of the city I booked the "Best of New York" tour for our first day there. It was the best thing I could have done. Mark, the tour guide. is knowledgeable and engaging. He keeps the tempo upbeat and hits all of the highlights. On the tour we saw Times Square, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and Soho. This gave her an idea of what she needed to see more of in the rest of our time there. Yes, we both loved WICKED, but we also both agree that the photos and the experience of PhotoTrek's Best of New York Tour were our favorite part of the visit! Thanks, Mark, you do a super job! I highly recommend this tour to everyone! | ||||||

| This was our first time in New York so we planned our photo trek on the first morning to also help us get orientated around Manhattan. We met Marc as exactly as planned and he really made us feel relaxed with ample opportunity to direct where we went. The tour was great .. not only the photos but also the information Marc gave us as we went around. So a great way to spend 2 or 3 hours in New York especially if like us you are only there for a few days. Phototrektours was recommended to us by a friend and we would have no hesitaton in passing on that recomendation having experienced it ourselves... Enjoy !! | ||||||

| My daughter and I took this tour which was great! .. It was great way to see a lot of NY in a short period of time with a tour guide who knows where to snap all the pictures. Our guide was knowledgeable about NY pointing out different trivia facts along the way .. He gave us suggestions for dinner in the city .. suggestions of other things we should not miss while in NY. I highly recommend the tour! | ||||||

| I was very excited about this tour (so excited in fact that I booked it 6 months in advance!) and it didn't disappoint. We did the tour back in September and Mark was fantastic. We covered so much ground in 3 hours - started in Times Square for some photos that we never would have got by ourselves then to Central Park, Grand Central, Upper West Side, Brooklyn Bridge, SoHo and we even got some shots on the subway. He taught us how to use the subway and we used it constantly for the rest of our stay. After the tour we felt comfortable in the city, on the subway and got a great set of photos the next day to remember how much we loved New York. Thanks Mark for a great tour!! | ||||||

| We would definitely recommend Photo Trek--wish we could have done it earlier in our trip but we were rained out. Marc, our photographer and guide, consulted us as to which parts of New York we wanted to see so we would not duplicate what we had already seen. As we followed him around he would quickly take pictures of us as he told us about the area we were in. He went at our pace. We were all in good health so we zoomed around and saw pretty much. Since we were leaving the next day, he mailed copies of the pictures to both us and our daughter in another state. Some of the pictures we are not sure of the background--wish we had more information as to what we were standing in front of. At the time, Marc told us but we do not remember all the buildings. We had different poses but the majority of the poses were the same--all 3 lined up in front of an area. Wish we could have had a few more different poses. All in all, Marc was extremely accommodating, fun and helpful. He added much to our trip to New York. Thank you, Marc. | ||||||

| The tour was fantastic. Mark knew his way around and took amazing pictures in superb locations. We got to see the city and will treasure the excellent pictures. As a single parent it can be difficult to get decent pictures of me and my daughter together when we are on vacation, so this really was the perfect solution. Mark met us in a convienient location and delivered the photos to our hotel within hours. An essential activity for anyone visiting New York! | ||||||

| Mark our tour guide was awesome. He taught us how to "catch" a ride on the subway and at the same time how to not get lost in New York! He was prompt, courteous and very patient with our little six year old. His tour was alot of fun and we got to see some great sights, we especailly enjoyed walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The tour was worth every cent that we paid for it and then some. I would highly recommend it! | ||||||

| Great opportunity to learn about the city. I have not recieved our photo's yet, but we had a great time with Mark. He was very professional and took tons of photos. We did this tour last, I would reccomend doing it first because Mark has great insight on NYC. Good info on subway usage and areas to visit. This tour comes highly recommended! | ||||||

| As first-timers to NYC, Marc's tips were very handy. We learned how to navigate the subway system and the streets of NYC. Our two-hour tour began in Times Square, hit highlights along Fifth Avenue, through Central Park, onto the subway, to a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Marc worked with us when the airline cancelled our flight and put us in a real jam. The airline also lost our luggage with our walking shoes inside. This tour requires sneakers to keep pace with Marc. This tour is NOT a leisurely walk around the city. Be prepared to walk at a brisk pace to fit it all in. The photo CD was delivered to our hotel the very next day. You see so much, it leaves your head spinning. Thankfully, you'll have a ton of photos to remember it all. | ||||||

| we booked the photo tour on the recommendation of friends who used it in April 2008. we were in new york as a family to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so this was a special occasion and we wanted good photos of all of us, some of which we could frame when home. the tour was so much more than just good photos. firstly mark was a very friendly and enthusiastic person who immediately made us feel at ease. we felt like celebrities! he took us on the subway which was something we hadnt done on our own but was great to do with someone with local knowledge. secondly he took us on a whirlwind tour all the time giving wee snippets of information which entertained the whole family age 10 years and up. he was flexible and if there was a picture you particularly wanted he would try his best to get it. we weren't able to get a slot prior to us leaving but i took the phone number and phoned once in new york and Marc accommodated us. he was even able to change the day/time due to inclement weather. We had our tour only a few hours before flying home and by the time we arrived home we could view the pictures online via a link that marc emailed to us. the hard disc arrived within 5 days. | ||||||
