Seeing NYC with my five year old son

| We really liked the tour and enjoyed the pictures when we got home. Our 5 year old had a blast too! Tip: Try to book earlier in the day if you are doing it with kids in the summer. I was sweating pretty bad by the end of the tour. We live in Houston so we are used to the heat but the subway stations get very humid. The heat got to our five year old son too. Marc made a great restaurant recommendation for the olive tree. It had great food and it was very quite the day we were there. John | ||||||

| Thank you for a WONDERFUL New York City experience. This was by far the best tour we have ever taken. Marc is an incredible tour guide and a fantastic photographer. He captured the essence of NY City in photos that we could have never done on our own. He not only educated us on the city but on how to get around and we felt very comfortable in NY by the time the tour was over. He definitely went the extra mile by carrying my bag so that we would have uncluttered pictures. He thinks of everything and this became even more apparent after we got home and we saw the photos he had taken....WOW !!! I want to do this again if we ever go back, this is an adventure worth every penny. At the end of the day, it is truly a priceless experience to take home photos that are fun and creative and have done a tour that was truly remarkable. Thank you for making our trip great and for making us feel so special. | ||||||

| I love to scrapbook our vacations and this was perfect. I have pictures of our whole family in various places in New York City (not just the kids). If this is your first time to New York City make sure you plan this tour at the beginning of your trip. Mark will explain the Subway system, tell you where to eat and take you to various popular destinations in two hours. Mark has a great personality and the kids (age 13 and 17) loved him. Well worth the price!! Thanks Mark for making our first trip to NYC the best. | ||||||

| Was disappointed with overall value - expected more as many pictures were the same type of mug and headshots that a stanger on the street could have taken - expected more from a professional photographer and thought there would be more creativity in action-type of pictures, use of props along the way and recommendations on different poses (instead of so many mugshots) We did several tours while in NY for a week - overall, this photo tour was our least favorite (but most expensive) -- it's OK to do if you have time to fill but would not recommend as a "must do while in NY." | ||||||

| This is a great concept - seeing New York with a New Yorker who is also a professional photographer taking pictures of our group in front of some cool New York landmarks. For a first timer in New York, it was awesome. The city doesn't seem nearly as big or intimidating when you are going through it with someone who lives there. Things like how to ride the subway and how the trains work between uptown and downtown and the red line and the "W" line all were clear enough so that we rode the subway the rest of our time in the city. The fact that the whole group is in the picture - and you don't have to find someone to take a picture with your camera - is awesome. And, by the way, since the guide is a professional photographer the pictures were phenomenal. I would definitely do this early in your trip. | ||||||

| This was a great way to capture the city with my daughter and actually be in the pictures. I am always the designated photographer and rarely end up in any vacation photos. Now I have beautiful pictures with my daughter that I will cherish forever. The photographer customized the walking tour based on what we wanted to do and was flexible and informative. I was concerned that the walking might be too much for my daughter who is nine, but it was fun! We had such a great time and the pictures are really wonderful. | ||||||

| Marc not only knows how to take pictures, he knows (and shows you) how to handle in NYC; using the subway when neccessary we spent 4 fantastic hours around all of main NYC highlights (and many different group pictures on all of them). He knows, of course, where to go, but accepts any of your suggestions or preferences. At the same time, you learn all you want from any aspect of NYC you are interested in, for he was indeed born in the Big Apple...Without any doubt, I recommend this tour to any person or group travelling to New York (be or not his/their first visit to it). | We had a tour with Marc a native New Yorker, who as well as being a really friendly, personable guy, seemed to be a fountain of knowledge ranging from who built it, why, when and how, as well as more up to the minute information such as the best places to eat and shop. He knew the answers to all of our really mundane questions too. Ideal tour to take at the beginning of your stay if possible as he knows where all the bargains are to be found! Don't believe anything you read about New Yorkers being unfriendly, we found everyone we spoke to extremely friendly and helpful. We received the photos as promised at the hotel the following evening and they're all great - lovely to have everyone in the photo together. A really good tour and some really fantastic photographic memories! We can't recommend this tour highly enough! | ||||||

| Great Family Tour Overall, this was a wonderful experience. My husband, my daughter, and I had a great time and the pictures are fantastic. It’s not easy to entertain a nine year old for over two hours, but this tour was a great solution. Since this is a photo tour as well as sightseeing, my daughter was essentially in the spotlight the whole time, which made her really enjoy herself! Plus Marc, the tour guide, took us to some really fun places. He is very friendly and an excellent photographer. Considering how much we would have spent on family photography elsewhere, this was a real bargain! I highly recommend this for families or couples – anyone really. | ||||||

| We just came from Germany with the wish to marry each other again at a special location in the world. We decide to do it in New York City. All what we needed is a professional photographer to hold those moments for the future and have an unforgettable memory. We booked Marc from PhotoTrek Tours and were really surprised. | We were extremely pleased with Mark. He showed us around the city and captured beautiful moments at different NY sites. We will definitely do this tour again with more people! We were engaged the night before the tour and he was able to capture all the excitement of the weekend. Mark was so knowledgeable about the "REAL" NY and made us appreciate the other spots in Manhattan, i.e. Soho, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, etc. He showed us how to use the Subway and even recommended a couple of areas in the city to party at! That nite we went out til 4 AM listening to a live band play everything from Funk to Rock. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! If you want a real tour of NY, this is it!!!!! | ||||||

| A great idea for couples who want some excellent pics of their time in New York. All our holiday pictures are of either me or my husband & the few we have together look awkward as we've asked another tourist to take them. Marc (photographer) was excellent. He put you at ease, made it enjoyable, had a great historical & local knowledge of the area and really took pride in showing off his home town. All of this whilst having a bit of fun, a good ribbing (the Glasgow accent is a bit strong for the natives!), sightseeing the best bits and having great pictures to take home - great value for money. | ||||||

| First time trip to New York City and we wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for all the rave reviews we read. Marc went above and beyond working with us on a rainy weekend right up to the last minute to get the tour in. His recommendations on local restaurants were right on and we ate at every one of them.
