| Mark was fabulous. He made me comfortable. I felt safe and welcome in a strange city especially a single female alone in NYC. He focused my tour to my likes and asked me questions throughout to keep me enjoying myself. Money well spent in an expensive city. He had lots of local tips and a great charasmatic personality. | Marc joined us on a tour of the city to capture our wedding day with our friends and family both locals and out of town guests. He was professional, efficient, knowledgeable and entertaining. | I took my 16 year old son, Jason, on our first Father/Son trip to NYC for a New Years Eve in Times Square adventure. We are from Mississippi and neither of us had ever travelled to NYC so, honestly, we were more than a little nervous coming to this giant city. On vacations in the past we would always have to take pictures of us individually or together at arms length. That's no fun so we decided to try out the Best of New York tours, see the city and have some great shots made of BOTH of us. To make the most of the journey we opted for the three hour tour, which I highly recommend you do if you really want to see NYC at it's heart! Marc from PhotoTrek Tours met us at our hotel right on time and off we went. Marc is a fantastic guy! Very friendly and knowledgeable! He took us all over the city, showing us how to navigate the subway system and learn the street grids. We walked through and learned all about SOHO (which I now know means "South of Houston - pronounced How-sten), Greenwich Village, Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge. While planning this trip we knew we wanted to see the Empire State, the Statue of Liberty and all of the typical New York sites. Well, we did that but the Best of New York tour showed us much more than that. We truly saw the Best of New York. We saw the heart of the city in the Greenwich Village neighborhoods with the small shops and restaurants. We walked under the arches of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate the best pizza I have ever tasted at Bleeker St Pizza ( highly recommended by Marc and now me). It was like I told Marc, Times Square may be the "shock" but the Village and SOHO were the "Ahhhh!" We rode the subways and took photos in Times Square with the hundreds of yellow cabs whizzing by. I can honestly say that our trip would not have been so successful or been as much fun if we had not taken this tour. As promised, Marc brought a CD of all of our photos to our hotel the next morning and, now that I am home and have had time to review them, all I can say is WOW! Dozens and dozens of great shots that my son and I will always cherish! If you have never been to New York and want a great way to see the sites (and more!) and have some great pictures and memories then you will be missing out if you don't book a PhotoTrek Tour! Thanks again Marc for an amazing adventure! 5 stars doesn't come close to the rating you deserve! If I could leave 10 that still might not be enough!! Excellent tour!! Thanks! | Do this when you first get to NYC. Before you get blisters from all the walking you'll do while in NYC. Be ready to cover a lot of ground, and quickly, while having pictures taken of you by your personal paparazzi who is also a native Manhattanite. Mark will point out sites in the city that most tourist would never see on their own. Hanging off cables while on the Brooklyn Bridge are our favorite shots. | ||||||

| This is a great service for folks new to the city and looking to have a few quick pics in front of some world-famous landmarks. The photographer was personal and professional. Due to the hurried natured, the majority of photos come out looking less than professional- but there are enough money-shots to make it worth your while. | ||||||

| This was a great way to capture the city with my daughter and actually be in the pictures. I am always the designated photographer and rarely end up in any vacation photos. Now I have beautiful pictures with my daughter that I will cherish forever. The photographer customized the walking tour based on what we wanted to do and was flexible and informative. I was concerned that the walking might be too much for my daughter who is nine, but it was fun! We had such a great time and the pictures are really wonderful. | ||||||

| The photo tour was more than we both expected!! Marc met us at our hotel first where we decided together what spots we should go to. Marc, thank you so much for the priceless photos. We are using them in a photo book and since we got engaged that weekend to the tour and the photos were a great way to commemorate our trip. We would recommend this photo tour to anyone visiting New York. It will be the highlight of your trip, not to mention you'll have tons of pictures of your group professionally taken!! | ||||||

| I can't say enough good things about our tour with Marc...we had the best time! My husband and I were only in the city for a day and wanted to see as much as we could...Marc did not disappoint! We opted for the 2 hour tour since we had limited time but in that 2 hours, we saw more than we could've ever imagined! We learned so much about the city too-Marc really knows his stuff! We're already talking about our next visit to NYC and doing another one! I would highly recommend Marc to anyone visiting the city! | We did this two hour tour on our first day in New York. We were taken to lots of different places in the 2 hours and it was very fast paced but it was great to get a taste of some of the main tourist sights on our first day, and Marc did discuss where he proposed taking our photos with us and gave us the chance to express preferences as to where we wanted our shots taken. We were really happy with the photos that we got. If I recall rightly we were expecting we'd get about 75 shots, but Marc gave us a disc with all of the photos on (way more than 75 - very refreshing when you consider that professional photographers/wedding photographers charge way more but don't always give you all your shots!). As well as taking great photos, we found Marc to be a great tour guide in giving us commentary on New York, helpful hints on using the subway and how to get around, and recommending restaurants and other good photo opportunity spots. We have already recommended this tour to friends of ours who live in NY and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city as a tourist too. | ||||||

| On our first trip to NYC as a couple (Sept 1-5, 2007) we had the pleasure of booking PhotoTrek's services to meet us at our hotel within hours of arriving in the city. Marc was prompt and very professional in all of our dealings. In addition, Marc is the kind of person that I am sure will get along well with anyone and any size of group. We would like to thank Marc and the great service that he provides and the wonderful disc of photos that arrived to our hotel very quickly after our tour ended. Marc was wonderful and provided us with a sample itinerary of sites to take in before we arrived on September 1. We made a few changes keeping in mind our future trip activities and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We visited so many places during our four hours together and had the opportunity to talk with Marc and learn more about the great city he get's to call home. We are both positive we could have never covered that much ground and seen so many sites by ourselves. The really neat thing was that now as we get to look over the photos of our tour with PhotoTrek we see things that we didn't even notice due to our awe of arriving just a few hours earlier in the city - the Chrysler building over our shoulder, ALL of the beautiful greenery in the park, the character of the Brooklyn Bridge or the way that we look so happy in NYC together as a couple. Even after our tour was over - We both found ourselves using tidbits of information that Marc had shared with us during our tour. We even purchased discount theater tickets for the Phantom of the Opera at the TKTS booth that Marc pointed out to us from the Brooklyn Bridge, we rode the subway all over town with the knowledge that we could easily make it back to Times Square and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip and not have to worry about taking photos together because Marc took over 200 great photos of us during our 4 hours together!! I would recommend PhotoTrek to anyone! Even if it is your first trip, your second or tenth trip, I think you will get something great out of the tour and working with Marc. | ||||||

| Mark was very friendly and made us feel at ease straight away! He explained what the plans were and we went straight into having pictures taken around big sites in New York! He was very organised in the way he took us around the city! It was great as only being two of us we both were in the picture along with great views behind us! He answered questions we had and taught us how to use the subway which was very helpful and also recommended places to eat and things to do! The photo CD was delivered the next day to our hotel and we would definitely recommend it as an essential part of your visit to New York! We would definitely do it again and extend the 2 hours to the 3 hour tour! It was money well spent! One of the highlights of our trip! | ||||||

| This tour provides a great introduction to the most frequently visited tourist spots on Manhattan. We took Marc's tour as a family of two adults and a three year old, I highly recommend Marc's tour as an introduction to the island and as a great way of getting some great family shots. Marc provided interesting conversation and commentary on the locations we visited and was patient with our son, who we were getting in and out of a stroller for the photos. | Marc was a great tour guide and photographer. My friend Tina and I had a great time and learned so much! We let him know what we had seen so far and he took us to different areas in the city and took some really great photos that would have been impossible to get without bothering a lot of people. Be ready to do some serious walking! I loved it! | ||||||

| Marc - what a guy! He made our first ,but by no means the last trip, to NY amazing. The first tour we did was fantastic, informative and loads of fun. I felt like a celeb on a photo shoot!!! But the 2nd tour we booked (at the last minute) which was for our wedding in central park was out of this world. If we had planned for 10 yrs nothing would have come this close to creating a perfect magical day. Not only did he capture every moment (including the tears rolling down my cheek during the ceremony!) he produced photos that are of amazing quality and will be cherished for ever. Viewing the photos is a story in itself - although we had no one from home at the wedding - my Gran after viewing shed a tear and has said it was just as if she had been there on the day!! Every moment has been captured for ever. So why are you still reading this review - get a photo-trek tour booked now. I promise it will be the best thing you do in New York. You will have the best time and laugh all the way through just doing crazy things. | ||||||
