An amazing way to start your vacation

| This was definately the best choice we made for our vacation. Not only did we see New York with a true New Yorker, but we learned information to help us with the rest of our trip. We rode the subway, learned hints on navigating New York, spots to go and interesting history. And the bonus - fantastic pictures of our mother/daugter trip. If anyone is not sure about this tour - please reconsider. It will be the most valuable tour you take. We customized our trip a bit and Marc for so easy going and helpful. It was a great way to incorporated our wishes for New York with the best of New York. Thanks Marc Your Canadian Friends | ||||||

| My daughter and I had a 'girlie week-end' in New York for her 21st birthday. Having read great reviews about Phototrek we decided to go for it and were sooooo .... glad we did. Mark gave us a fabulous 3 hours with some great shots of us both together at Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Soho, Greenwich Village and so much more - plus lots and lots of tips and inside information on things we would never have seen on our own. If you're thinking of doing it, then just go, go, go .............. | ||||||

| The tour was an excellent way to capture the hotspots of New York when you're traveling with a significant other. We would never have been able to bother passerbys to take this many photos of us, and quality of these photos were top notch. We were able to get 100+ photos in 5 locations over the course of the two hour tour. Definitely a great experience! | ||||||

| Phototrek were our wedding photographers. We had a small cermony which they photograohed brilliantly, and then we undertook a 4 hour tour of New York, which was a wonderful way to get to know the city. We saw parts that we would not have seen otherwise, and learned how to use the subway. The photo's were brilliant, we were absolutley delighted with the them. Worth every penny, highly recommended | ||||||

| Mark is a wonderful host on this fabulous experience. My husband and I were impressed by the extensive and comprehensive tour...with a few surprises thrown in that we would never have found ourselves. Mark completely put us at ease with his professional and friendly manner and the fact that we have a photographic record of US TOGETHER is wonderful. What a brilliant idea! We would recommend good walking shoes, hats and sunscreen...but Mark was more than happy to match the pace of the tour to our needs. If we wanted to stop and really take in where we were he would give us the space and time to be together. Touring New York City with a NYC native gave us the confidence the following day to do much more than we would have done and Mark was great at giving hints and tips on places to eat (Extra Virgin was fantastic!) and things to do. He also made riding the subway enjoyable rather than stressful! My husband thinks his NYC attitude rubbed off on me...which I think is no bad thing! Thanks for a fabulous, unforgettable experience. | ||||||

| From being picked up at the hotel to saying cheerio 2 hours later. This whole experience was jam packed with information, great site seeing - we covered times square, a small part of Central Park, the tube stations, soho, greenwich village and walked acress Brooklyn Bridge all while getting lots of memorable photos taken - fantastic! Marc Samuels was a really nice guy and very easy to get along with. We also got lots of tips on where to eat, what to try and go and see for ourselves etc. Well worth the money and would recommend this as a must for anyone who is visiting New York for the first time. Make sure you book it on your first or second day there so that you get all the information you can for the rest of your stay. | ||||||

| I have to say the phototour was fantastic. Mark was very professional and interacted well with us. When we met, he explained about where we would go and gave us a choice of an additional stop on the tour. As we were walking around New York, Mark explained about the areas we were walking though. Mark came across as very proud of his city and new his stuff. He showed genuine interest in us and where we were from and what we hoped to achieve whilst in New York. We took the the 2 hour Best of New York tour and it was great, showed us some of the major highlights of New York and gave us a good orientation. We were billed to receive at least 75 photos of the tour and ended up with 123! I can't recommend this enough, it's an excellent way to get to grips with New York and an ideal way to get photo's of everyone in your party, without having to ask a stranger to take a pic of you. I've recommended this to some of my friends who are heading to New York later in the year. I'm your thinking about doin this tour. DO IT! you won't regret it | ||||||

Great photos and great tour

| We did this two hour tour on our first day in New York. We were taken to lots of different places in the 2 hours and it was very fast paced but it was great to get a taste of some of the main tourist sights on our first day, and Marc did discuss where he proposed taking our photos with us and gave us the chance to express preferences as to where we wanted our shots taken. We were really happy with the photos that we got. If I recall rightly we were expecting we'd get about 75 shots, but Marc gave us a disc with all of the photos on (way more than 75 - very refreshing when you consider that professional photographers/wedding photographers charge way more but don't always give you all your shots!). As well as taking great photos, we found Marc to be a great tour guide in giving us commentary on New York, helpful hints on using the subway and how to get around, and recommending restaurants and other good photo opportunity spots. We have already recommended this tour to friends of ours who live in NY and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city as a tourist too. | ||||||

| This was the first and only organized tour we took while in New York City and we were not disappointed. This tour is well worth the money. Mark was extremely professional and proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the city. Not only did we end up with over one hundred amazing photographs, Mark also familiarized us with the city layout, the public transit system and made excellent restaurant recommendations. We took the 2 hour city tour and we were absolutely amazed at how much ground we were able to cover in that time period – We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a truly unique experience! Definitely 5 stars! | ||||||

| This event was one of the hilites af our trip. There were 3 of us and all of us enjoyed the places we went and the way Marc guided us and his photographic skills are excellent. We went on the 3 hour tour I thought it was going to be to long but I wished it was longer. Also the pictures we received were of great quality and we have them to enjoy the rest of our lifes. We all learned a lot about New York and used lots of the information Marc provided to get around and find our way back. I would recommend this photo tour to anybody going to New York. My Grand daughter and grand neice loved everthing about the tour. Again this was great and everyone should do the tour. Stan Jack | ||||||

| Couldn't have asked for a better introduction to a more beautiful city! The photos are proof of just how amazing New York City is, and of how much fun we had on our tour! We learnt our way around the city, how to use the subway and got some hot tips along the way of cool places to hang out. It all came in handy for the duration of our stay in NYC. I've told all my family and friends that if they ever intend on traveling to NY the Best of New York photo tour is a MUST! Everyone i've had the opportunity to show my photos to are in awe and that includes myself. All the photos are of great quality and would be almost impossible to get by ourselves. Love the tour, Marc is awesome, cant say it enough how enjoyable it was. Our trip to NY wouldn't have been complete without it! | ||||||

| This was a really special trip as 2 of our group were celebrating their 40th's. So we really wanted to capture the trip on film as well as see bits of New York that we'd not seen before. Plus its good to do a tour with a difference. Our guide/photographer was really informative and if it wasn't for him we would never have gone on the subway and understood how it works. This tour was recommended to us by others that have used this service and we were NOT disappointed at all. I will and have already recommended this tour to all my friends. Money well spent. | ||||||

| I don't know who gets to see this review but like everyone says marc is an enthusiastic individual, who gets you in the know of things such as getting around the metro and such. On our day of booking, the weather was raining all day but we managed to get a 2hour session from 4pm -6pm. We went around a lot of places such as times square, brooklyn bridge, central park and soho. It was very fast paced whether thats marc's nature or the rain I dont know but it was very fast and as such unfortunately I must mention that in a number of our photos we barely had a moment to pose and the shot was taken, that didn't bother me that much but what did bother me was a good proportion of shots were for some reason out of focus. Me and my wife were the subjects obviously and on a quite a good few we are out of focus or slightly blurry which was disappointing. My recommendation is to slow down and make sure you get the shot, I mean not perfection but at least in focus photos for the money paid. John C | ||||||

| Our Personal Photo Tour with Marc was excellent and definitely something we would recommend to anybody who wants to see New York with a friendly guide as well as having photos so that we can always remember our trip. We both felt that Marc was very knowledgeable and easy to speak to whilst we were on our tour. There definitely were not any uncomfortable silences throughout the 2 hours! The tour was flexible in that we could pick and choose where we would like to see, and he was also very helpful in giving us directions to where we wanted to go after the tour finished. The photos were of a very high quality and something that we can keep to always remind us of a brilliant holiday. We also received far more photos than we had originally paid for, probably to make up for the fact that I kept having my eyes closed for some reason!! We would definitely recommend PhotoTrek Tours with confidence to anybody visiting New York. | ||||||
