Great way to get your pics done around NYC
Fri, Jan 2  8:00 AM TIGERLILLY Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife and I decided to take this tour so we could see the sites and get some photos of ourselves, which can be quite hard to do. We arrived at the arranged meeting site about 15 minutes early, and Marc was already there waiting for us. After quick introductions and an explanation of the tour, we were off. We sped-walked to Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Avenue, Central Park and took the subway down to Brooklyn Bridge. We got a ton of great shots and a lot of info on all the places we visited. Marc was polite, knowledgeable, and gave us some great tips that we will use on our next New York visit. We would recommend Marc to any of our friends visiting New York.

Truly the BEST OF NEW YORK! Awesome tour!

I took my 16 year old son, Jason, on our first Father/Son trip to NYC for a New Years Eve in Times Square adventure. We are from Mississippi and neither of us had ever travelled to NYC so, honestly, we were more than a little nervous coming to this giant city. On vacations in the past we would always have to take pictures of us individually or together at arms length. That's no fun so we decided to try out the Best of New York tours, see the city and have some great shots made of BOTH of us. To make the most of the journey we opted for the three hour tour, which I highly recommend you do if you really want to see NYC at it's heart! Marc from PhotoTrek Tours met us at our hotel right on time and off we went. Marc is a fantastic guy! Very friendly and knowledgeable! He took us all over the city, showing us how to navigate the subway system and learn the street grids. We walked through and learned all about SOHO (which I now know means "South of Houston - pronounced How-sten), Greenwich Village, Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge. While planning this trip we knew we wanted to see the Empire State, the Statue of Liberty and all of the typical New York sites. Well, we did that but the Best of New York tour showed us much more than that. We truly saw the Best of New York. We saw the heart of the city in the Greenwich Village neighborhoods with the small shops and restaurants. We walked under the arches of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate the best pizza I have ever tasted at Bleeker St Pizza ( highly recommended by Marc and now me). It was like I told Marc, Times Square may be the "shock" but the Village and SOHO were the "Ahhhh!" We rode the subways and took photos in Times Square with the hundreds of yellow cabs whizzing by. I can honestly say that our trip would not have been so successful or been as much fun if we had not taken this tour. As promised, Marc brought a CD of all of our photos to our hotel the next morning and, now that I am home and have had time to review them, all I can say is WOW! Dozens and dozens of great shots that my son and I will always cherish! If you have never been to New York and want a great way to see the sites (and more!) and have some great pictures and memories then you will be missing out if you don't book a PhotoTrek Tour! Thanks again Marc for an amazing adventure! 5 stars doesn't come close to the rating you deserve! If I could leave 10 that still might not be enough!! Excellent tour!! Thanks! Unmissable Tour of New York!

What can I say about the photo tour of New York? Marc was fantastic - a really nice guy who knows all there is to know about NY! My wife and I opted for the 2 hour trip on 26 Dec 08. As it was our second last day in NY we wanted to see as much as we possibly could. With Marc we definitely managed to do that. He took us through Times Square, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge and finally on to Greenwich Village & SOHO. He even explained how the subway system worked (until then we hadn't been brave enough to give it a go!) And the photos he took - WOW! They are amazing! Since we have come home we haven't been able to stop looking at them as they capture such happy memories of our trip. I really can't recommend this tour enough. You will have a wonderful time seeing all of the sights and you will have a wonderful set of photos to cherish forever!

I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity -- it was awesome! With Mark as our guide, we were able to see NYC landmarks that we might not have been able to reach if it weren't for our PhotoTrek tour, and we had the moments captured in memorable photographs that we'll treasure for a long time. Don't miss this opportunity!

I would strongly recommend this activity to anyone visiting New York; usually I am the one who ends up taking all the photos (which means I am hardly ever in any of them!) and with this tour that isn’t an issue. More importantly though along with some great photo's you are accompanied by a very friendly and knowledgeable local guide. Marc's tips were invaluable to our group and allowed us to discover parts of NYC that we would have otherwise been oblivious to.

Flexible tour that meets YOUR needs

Dunno about you, but every time we go somewhere, we end up with lots of shots of the somewhere, but very few shots of us. This unique tour changed that, and we couldn't be happier. I hate to be one of those reviewers who gushes about a purchase, but we were completely satisfied with our recent tour of NYC by PhotoTrek. Highlights: Knowledge: "OK, when this light changes, we'll have 2 minutes to go out into the middle of Broadway to get the photo." Sure enough, light goes red, traffic disappears, and <click>, we've got a shot of us like no other. Flexible: We were meeting friends from the city for dinner, and they ended up heading to our hotel earlier than we planned. The tour was quickly re-arranged, and we ended in Soho instead of at the Bridge. Closer to the hotel, faster to get back. Fast: We left town before we could get the photos in our hands, but 2 days after we got home, a CD showed up in the mail with all the shots. Now we have to figure out how to narrow down our favorites. Lowlights: none, really. Highly recommend.

2 Hours well spent !!!

This was our first time in New York so we planned our photo trek on the first morning to also help us get orientated around Manhattan. We met Marc as exactly as planned and he really made us feel relaxed with ample opportunity to direct where we went. The tour was great .. not only the photos but also the information Marc gave us as we went around. So a great way to spend 2 or 3 hours in New York especially if like us you are only there for a few days. Phototrektours was recommended to us by a friend and we would have no hesitaton in passing on that recomendation having experienced it ourselves... Enjoy !!

We booked this tour as a kick-off on day one of our 8-day visit to NY. Having Mark as a guide gave us exactly the flying start we'd hoped for and heaps of pictures to remember our visit by!

We got married in New York and used Marc as our wedding photographer - an amazing little tour to some of the best spots in town (we went to the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Grand Central Station and Central Park). We had a great day, and had 500 really good quality photos delivered on CD to our hotel the next morning. The photographer Marc was knowledgeable, a great guide, and clearly loved his native city. Highly recommended.

Re-visiting New York after 50 years
Wed, Sep 10, 08   3:30 PM ACEOFSPACE Male 70+ International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife & I, both seniors from London, England & with walking difficulties, were delighted with the way Marc helped us on our 3 hour 'trek' around the Big Apple. We visited Central Park, Times Square & Brooklyn Bridge & by 08.00 hrs the following morning the disc had been delivered to our hotel with approx. 130 super images. To say we were 'knackered' the following day would be an understatement having not walked so far in years, but Marc knew all the short cuts especially on the subway network & was so understanding with our continued stopping & starting. Not really recommended for the elderly or people with mobility problems, but we would not have missed it for the world--the highlight of our stay in New York! Well done Marc, excellent photos, thanks & good luck for future business. BRIAN BARNETT

My girlfriend and I were visiting New York together and were looking for a way that we can get lots of pictures together without having to ask others or to do self portaits. Then I found photo Trek Tours online and reserved a spot. This tour was great, Mark, our guide, took us through central park, Time Square, on the subway and the Brooklyn bridge. On top of that he recommened many other activities and areas for us to check out while we were there. The photos are great and Mark was very insightfull, i recommend this tour to all visiting NYC. Thanks for great memories Mark.

Not to be missed!

This was our fifth visit to NYC, and Marc our photo guide was still able to show us parts of the city we hadn't seen before. Marc was very personable, informative and his enthusiasm ensured we had a really enjoyable tour. The photos were painless and once over the initial concerns of having to stand in the middle of the road in Times Square it was very relaxed. Be ready to travel at speed with Marc... he doesn’t hang about! He can also recommend a great shop for home made cannolis! If you have a couple of hours to spare, we would highly recommend this tour. Ask him to end your tour in the west village, where there are some really good restaurants for lunch.
