New York in a Nut Shell

| Not being naturally predisposed to reading city guides and making plans for touring, we selected phototrek to give us a kick-start overview of New York and at the same time have someone else take the photos for a change. Marc's Phototrek acheived exactly that! Marc knew his city and knew it well. He gave us the typical whirlwind tour that covered all the main features and most importantly gave us confidence that we could continue to explore on our own. I think the winning feature of the tour concept was that it was personal. Sure it was clear Marc had done this numerous times before, but for that time, it was only Marc and us. If there was a negative, it was that every photo was dominated by ourselves. A few with us being a little less dominating might have been good. But that is us! At the end of the day the trek was everything it was advertised to be. Rapid overview and numerous photos of us! | ||||||

| The tour gives you a GREAT feeling of NYC and really helps to understand the many sites/locations of the city. I'm recommending Marc Samuels to anybody that we know who visits here to personally give the tour. He shared his knowledge of the city with us and is a great listener too. He had lot of positive energy like we're his good friends from the past. We started in Central Park, visited the local neighborhoods, walked by Columbus Circle, Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station (whispering corners I liked), subway rides/educated us on this (very very helpful), Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, Soho, Litte Italy and on and on. The walk up the Brooklyn bridge was exciting. When we were in the middle of the bridge, the views were so beautiful. As with Central Park and all of the other areas, we were able to appreciate the sites we've only known from television. We know now that every time we go anywhere we will be commenting on this tour. The day after our tour with Marc, we were with my brother & sister in-law and wanted to go see the cast of RENT in Bryant park. The great part was that we were able to lead the way. The tour was so complete in that we remembered how to get around to many of the places we visited just by following Marc's comments and directions. In short, we had a FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, EVENTFUL time all made so much better because of our tour with Marc. Thank you very much. | We did not want to have to keep asking random strangers to take our picture just so we could get some pictures of us together. We are very happy with the pictures that we got, they look great and we got to see lots of the city's hot spots. Mark was very helpful and he gave us great information and advice. This is a great tour and well worth the price, your pictures will speak for themselves. | ||||||

| We absolutely loved the photo tour. Marc was a wonderful tour guide that helped make you feel comfortable with NYC If you never been to NYC, I would recommend that this is the first tour you take. The pictures are amazing and is able to capture the true beauty of the city. Marc makes you feel totally comfortable from the moment you start. | ||||||

| PHOTO TREK TOURS IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM! MARC MADE US FEEL SO COMFORTABLE AND MADE IT SO FUN, WE COULD NOT HELP BUT SMILE FOR EVERY PHOTO! THIS WAS OUR FIRST TRIP TOGETHER TO NYC (AND WE LOVED EVERY MOMENT) AND THE PHOTOTREK TOUR WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR 4 DAYS IN NEW YORK! | I cannot emphasize enough how incredible this tour was. I found that on most vacations my wife and I always have pictures of either her only or me only due to the fact that one of us always has to take the picture. This tour gave us a ton of pictures with both of us in them all. Also, Marc knows all the great backgrounds and sites for the best pictures. He is very knowledgable about the city, so it is fun to learn and take pictures. I would put this tour as a requirement to everyones vacation. | ||||||

| Back at home in the Netherlands, we watched with much fun the photos Marc made during our stay in New York last week. It was a pleasure meeting Marc and we really enjoyed his tour and further side-information of NY. What a great guy. We went to places that we self never had found; fantastic. And further you can specify your special wishes to see during the tour. The photos are really great!! The day afterwards we received them on a CD at our hotel in good order. Marc, again thank you very much for the special tour en the great photos. We will always remember the fantastic tour, The Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, Greenwich, Soho, Grand Central, China Town, Times Square etc etc.; especially the moment in Central Park (where our dream came true), we will both never forget. | We were very pleased with our photo tour. We felt like celebrities walking the streets of New York City with our own personal photographer. Marc made an otherwise foreign experience seem perfectly normal, and we enjoyed the star treatment. The pictures are fantastic! They will last for years to come. | Marc lead us on a great tour of NYC in a way we could never have done on our own. He is knowledgeable, fun to talk with and we received a disc with some really nice photos to remember the trip by. Our family had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this activity. You will not be disappointed! | ||||||

| Marc is a very genuine and personable guy. The tour is informative and his insights/tips etc as a native New Yorker we found invaluable. Even very simple things like how to work the sub way ticketing system and navigating around from there. You can tailor the tour to your exact requirements or rely on Marc's descretion, either way your going to be well informed. We had the 3 hour tour and the ground you cover walking and on the sub way is amazing. We recommend doing this tour shortly after arrival as an ideal way to get a very personal orientation of this magnificent City. The pictures are amazing and there's plenty of them. It is also amusing to see the looks on peoples faces as you have the pictures taken, you feel like a VIP they think you are a VIP........... well hey for 3 hours we were!!
