| To say this tour is AWESOME would be an understatement!!! I only give it five stars because I can't give it six! Marc does an excellent job getting around the city in a short period of time. Not only that, he shows his guests how to get around on their own as well. This is by far, the best way not only to see the city, but to also get a feel for the city. | ||||||

| Imagine you’re visiting a new city. It would be great if you knew someone who lived there for years, and really loved the place and couldn’t wait to show you around. Oh, and if he would take pictures, lots of pictures of you and your wife together so you didn’t have to decide who gets to pose in front of what. If you don’t have that friend in the Big Apple, the Best of New York tour is a close second. Spending our first day in the city walking around with Marc was a great way to get a feel for it, and especially to see a few off-the beaten path corners adjacent to more well-known spots. If you’re looking for something a little different from a typical bus—or even walking—tour, you won’t be disappointed if you go with Marc. | ||||||

| Having never been to New York and going as a couple we really appreciated the background and knowledge our photographer gave us, we travelled the subway which we would not have done alone and saw many things we would never have otherwise encountered. Our guide `Marc' was friendly and informative, our photographs delivered to the hotel the next day as promised. All in all a highly recommended service and a wonderful souvenir of a wonderful break in a wonderful city ! Thanks very much. Mike and Sarah. | ||||||

| We a couple of 41 yrs old from Hilversum, the Netherlands did the tour on President's Day, on feb the 16th. Tour started at our hotel at 8 am and lasted untill 11 AM ending in the Villages. In these 3 hours we learned to use the subway, saw Broadway, Times square, Central Park, Grand central station, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Village. We originally had planned to tour further on our own after we said bye to Marc our tour guide, but after 45 min in the village following the advise to visit the market we decided to return to the hotel to relax from all the impressions and to view the 164 pictures.(on our request Marc made the pictures in RAW using the CF card we gave him) By using our own CF-card Marc does not have any copies of the pictures for back-up or request in the future. We really enjoyed the combination of the conversations with a local NY-er, Marc 's outstanding knowledge of the environment and the fact that we received the bonus of the pictures. It's well worth the price. Do wear comfy shoes and plan this activity in the beginning of your trip. In the afternoon we returned to visit the Central Park as it was perfect weather, and in the late afternoon we visited Top Rock (advise from Marc) were we had a nice view of the city(including ESB and Central Park). Later we send some pictures to our girls in Holland which they liked very much. | ||||||

| This was the favorite part of our trip to NYC! Marc was fantastic! I went with my 16 year old daughter and her friend and I saw sights I had never seen before in New York. Marc taught us how to use the subway and feel totally safe in the big city. He gave us sooo many tips and is worth every penny on just his tour guide! The fact that we have unbelievable pictures and memories forever is just icing on the cake! Thank you for a great experience in NYC! | ||||||

| I took my 16 year old son, Jason, on our first Father/Son trip to NYC for a New Years Eve in Times Square adventure. We are from Mississippi and neither of us had ever travelled to NYC so, honestly, we were more than a little nervous coming to this giant city. On vacations in the past we would always have to take pictures of us individually or together at arms length. That's no fun so we decided to try out the Best of New York tours, see the city and have some great shots made of BOTH of us. To make the most of the journey we opted for the three hour tour, which I highly recommend you do if you really want to see NYC at it's heart! Marc from PhotoTrek Tours met us at our hotel right on time and off we went. Marc is a fantastic guy! Very friendly and knowledgeable! He took us all over the city, showing us how to navigate the subway system and learn the street grids. We walked through and learned all about SOHO (which I now know means "South of Houston - pronounced How-sten), Greenwich Village, Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge. While planning this trip we knew we wanted to see the Empire State, the Statue of Liberty and all of the typical New York sites. Well, we did that but the Best of New York tour showed us much more than that. We truly saw the Best of New York. We saw the heart of the city in the Greenwich Village neighborhoods with the small shops and restaurants. We walked under the arches of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate the best pizza I have ever tasted at Bleeker St Pizza ( highly recommended by Marc and now me). It was like I told Marc, Times Square may be the "shock" but the Village and SOHO were the "Ahhhh!" We rode the subways and took photos in Times Square with the hundreds of yellow cabs whizzing by. I can honestly say that our trip would not have been so successful or been as much fun if we had not taken this tour. As promised, Marc brought a CD of all of our photos to our hotel the next morning and, now that I am home and have had time to review them, all I can say is WOW! Dozens and dozens of great shots that my son and I will always cherish! If you have never been to New York and want a great way to see the sites (and more!) and have some great pictures and memories then you will be missing out if you don't book a PhotoTrek Tour! Thanks again Marc for an amazing adventure! 5 stars doesn't come close to the rating you deserve! If I could leave 10 that still might not be enough!! Excellent tour!! Thanks! | What can I say about the photo tour of New York? Marc was fantastic - a really nice guy who knows all there is to know about NY! My wife and I opted for the 2 hour trip on 26 Dec 08. As it was our second last day in NY we wanted to see as much as we possibly could. With Marc we definitely managed to do that. He took us through Times Square, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge and finally on to Greenwich Village & SOHO. He even explained how the subway system worked (until then we hadn't been brave enough to give it a go!) And the photos he took - WOW! They are amazing! Since we have come home we haven't been able to stop looking at them as they capture such happy memories of our trip. I really can't recommend this tour enough. You will have a wonderful time seeing all of the sights and you will have a wonderful set of photos to cherish forever! | ||||||

| My friend and I were first time visitors to New York and although we had worked out a vague itinery we were not really sure of distance and time. We had worked out our itinery on foot as we had heard that traffic etc (taxis and buses) would be time consuming and we were nervous about using the subway. However one tour with Marc and we were hopping on and off the subway without a care in the world and reaching our destinations quickly and with ease. After 5 days we felt like true New Yorkers! During our 3 hour walking tour with Marc we certainly covered a lot of areas and visited places that we would not have seen had we not gone on this tour. My friend and I would definitely recommend this tour for a first time New Yorker! | ||||||

| We bought this as a surprise for a friend in the UK who was visiting New York with her husband as a surprise for her 40th birthday. It was a great success, as they had a personal guided tour of New York and the photos are a great momento of her special trip. It was a brilliant success and is a fantastic gift for anyone. | I took my daughter to NYC for a 16th birthday trip. This was her first time visiting NYC and she knew in advance what she wanted to do---see WICKED! To give her an 'overview" of the city I booked the "Best of New York" tour for our first day there. It was the best thing I could have done. Mark, the tour guide. is knowledgeable and engaging. He keeps the tempo upbeat and hits all of the highlights. On the tour we saw Times Square, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and Soho. This gave her an idea of what she needed to see more of in the rest of our time there. Yes, we both loved WICKED, but we also both agree that the photos and the experience of PhotoTrek's Best of New York Tour were our favorite part of the visit! Thanks, Mark, you do a super job! I highly recommend this tour to everyone! | ||||||

| This tour is one of the memorable highlights of our trip to the USA. Marc was a great guide showing us places we would not have had the opportunity to see on our own. His tours are informative and fun and the photo's are fabulous (which he delievered to our hotel the next day). At the end of our tour Marc recommended a Pizza restaurant for dinner and we were certainly not disappointed....one of the best pizza's we have had. I will certainly be recommending this tour to family, friends and anyone else in Australia. Best 3 hours ever spent!!! Fantastic photo's and memories.......thanks Marc. | ||||||

| This was our first time in New York so we planned our photo trek on the first morning to also help us get orientated around Manhattan. We met Marc as exactly as planned and he really made us feel relaxed with ample opportunity to direct where we went. The tour was great .. not only the photos but also the information Marc gave us as we went around. So a great way to spend 2 or 3 hours in New York especially if like us you are only there for a few days. Phototrektours was recommended to us by a friend and we would have no hesitaton in passing on that recomendation having experienced it ourselves... Enjoy !! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our photo tour with Marc! He was very informative about the sights he took us on and took wonderful pictures. We will enjoy these pictures for a lifetime! We do hope to come back in the near future though and will more than likely contact PhotoTrek tours again for another tour and more outstanding pictures to take home with us. We had the 3 hour tour and probably could have done more. He told us several good restaurants to try and at the end of the tour said goodbye to us in front of a pizza place he recommended and boy was it the best pizza we have ever eaten! This is definetely a tour to take to see the sights and have pictures taken with your entire party in them!!! We highly recommend to everyone traveling to the Big Apple!!! | ||||||

| This tour was fabulous from beginning to end. The tour guide was professional, knowledgeable and fun. He made wonderful suggestions about the places to see in New York and then personalized the tour with beautiful pictures of us at the places we visited. We covered a great deal of the city with ease and it was one of the most exciting and unique tours we have ever experienced. We would definitely do it again. | ||||||
