A birthday surprise

| I booked this tour as a surprise for my husband after reading good reviews on tripadvisor. Unfortunately it had to be rearranged due to bad weather. However, we met Marc the following day and were not disappointed. Right away Marc started taking pictures and telling us our itinery. We started off at Times Square, made our way by subway, where we had a couple of photos taken, to Central Park. After a time in Central Park with it's beautiful backdrop it was on to the magnificent Grand Central station. Another subway ride and it was on to the Brookyn Bridge. We then went to Greenwich Village and Soho. During the entire time, 3 hours, Marc was constantly taking pictures and giving us a running comentray on whatever site we were at, at the time. As you can imagine being a New Yorker he is a font of information. He delivered our disc of approx 151 photos to out hotel a couple of days later. We had to wait till we were home to view the disc and were delighted with the result. I would recomend this tour as a great keepsake of a fabulous city. | ||||||

| I cannot emphasize enough how incredible this tour was. I found that on most vacations my wife and I always have pictures of either her only or me only due to the fact that one of us always has to take the picture. This tour gave us a ton of pictures with both of us in them all. Also, Marc knows all the great backgrounds and sites for the best pictures. He is very knowledgable about the city, so it is fun to learn and take pictures. I would put this tour as a requirement to everyones vacation. | ||||||

| Marc not only knows how to take pictures, he knows (and shows you) how to handle in NYC; using the subway when neccessary we spent 4 fantastic hours around all of main NYC highlights (and many different group pictures on all of them). He knows, of course, where to go, but accepts any of your suggestions or preferences. At the same time, you learn all you want from any aspect of NYC you are interested in, for he was indeed born in the Big Apple...Without any doubt, I recommend this tour to any person or group travelling to New York (be or not his/their first visit to it). | Our recent trip to NYC began with PhotoTrek Tours. It was a wonderful way to get a general overview of the island plus have these memories professionally captured on a CD to bring home with us. Our tour guide, Marc, was very personable and informative, making the adventure a very pleasant learning experience. I can't believe the amount of landmarks we were able to see in the time we spent with him! On our next trip, I will definetly book Marc again for different areas of the city....a great guide...a great tour...and great photos!!! Thanks for the memories! | My adult daughter and I went to NY for a mother daughter get away and she wanted to do this tour...so we did...it was wonderful...not only all the pictures that were taken (and they were all great) but the sightseeing and pointing out of things that other wise we would have not known...it was a friendly great time and the 3 hours flew by so fast... it was one of the highlights of our trip...would highly recommend especially if your a family or couple and your wanting those pictures that you just can't get when one of you are taking the pictures...well worth it! | ||||||

| Mark our tour guide was awesome. He taught us how to "catch" a ride on the subway and at the same time how to not get lost in New York! He was prompt, courteous and very patient with our little six year old. His tour was alot of fun and we got to see some great sights, we especailly enjoyed walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The tour was worth every cent that we paid for it and then some. I would highly recommend it! | ||||||

| Imagine you’re visiting a new city. It would be great if you knew someone who lived there for years, and really loved the place and couldn’t wait to show you around. Oh, and if he would take pictures, lots of pictures of you and your wife together so you didn’t have to decide who gets to pose in front of what. If you don’t have that friend in the Big Apple, the Best of New York tour is a close second. Spending our first day in the city walking around with Marc was a great way to get a feel for it, and especially to see a few off-the beaten path corners adjacent to more well-known spots. If you’re looking for something a little different from a typical bus—or even walking—tour, you won’t be disappointed if you go with Marc. | ||||||

| New York can be a little overwhelming for a first-time visitor, but after two hours with Mark we were totally at ease. And as for the photos - they were fantastic! As a couple, we only ever have pictures of one or the other when travelling. Now we not only have pictures of us together, we have great pictures! Mark was totally open to any suggestions we had and even modified the tour to take in an area of New York I was particularly interested in. Mark is very easygoing and a wealth of information - from where to get cheap show tickets to good restaurants to how to read the subway map. The tour moves fast, so be ready to flash your pearly whites from the get go as there's no real time to think about posing. But when you see just how many top snaps he captures it's totally worth it. I admit I was a little hesitant about the price, but I can't stress enough - it's worth every penny. You couldn't get the same shots yourself and certainly not with the added bonus of all the insider knowledge and history of the places you visit. I think the beauty of this tour too is that you could be a first-time visitor or a regular to New York and still get something out of it. Five stars! | ||||||

| First time trip to New York City and we wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for all the rave reviews we read. Marc went above and beyond working with us on a rainy weekend right up to the last minute to get the tour in. His recommendations on local restaurants were right on and we ate at every one of them. | We really enjoyed our photo tour of New York this past June. Mark was great, the photos are good and we felt very comfortable with the city after our 3 hour tour. We took the tour as soon as we arrived in the city and once we were done we felt great getting around on our own for the next three days - thanks to the tour we took with Mark. I highly recommend it - it's well worth the price. We love the photo memories we have of our trip. Only one strong recommendation - the tour is very fast (Mark wants you to get your money's worth) so wear running shoes - seriously!! | ||||||

| We came back from New York with tons of great photos. Be ready to zip around Manhattan in two hours. We walked fast!! The tour was a lot of fun and a great concept. We didn't have to worry about taking anymore photos on the rest of the trip. | ||||||

| We would definately recommend taking the "best of New York"photo tour! It was amazing!! Mark was really great and answered all of our questions and was even nice enough to write down some places for us to see on our own. The pictures turned out great. He did a wonderful job capturing us in front of all the great landmarks of NYC! | ||||||
