| New York can be a little overwhelming for a first-time visitor, but after two hours with Mark we were totally at ease. And as for the photos - they were fantastic! As a couple, we only ever have pictures of one or the other when travelling. Now we not only have pictures of us together, we have great pictures! Mark was totally open to any suggestions we had and even modified the tour to take in an area of New York I was particularly interested in. Mark is very easygoing and a wealth of information - from where to get cheap show tickets to good restaurants to how to read the subway map. The tour moves fast, so be ready to flash your pearly whites from the get go as there's no real time to think about posing. But when you see just how many top snaps he captures it's totally worth it. I admit I was a little hesitant about the price, but I can't stress enough - it's worth every penny. You couldn't get the same shots yourself and certainly not with the added bonus of all the insider knowledge and history of the places you visit. I think the beauty of this tour too is that you could be a first-time visitor or a regular to New York and still get something out of it. Five stars! | ||||||

| Back at home in the Netherlands, we watched with much fun the photos Marc made during our stay in New York last week. It was a pleasure meeting Marc and we really enjoyed his tour and further side-information of NY. What a great guy. We went to places that we self never had found; fantastic. And further you can specify your special wishes to see during the tour. The photos are really great!! The day afterwards we received them on a CD at our hotel in good order. Marc, again thank you very much for the special tour en the great photos. We will always remember the fantastic tour, The Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, Greenwich, Soho, Grand Central, China Town, Times Square etc etc.; especially the moment in Central Park (where our dream came true), we will both never forget. It's great to have photos from that special moment. We hope sometimes that we will visit NY again. Than surely we will order Marc's Phototour again. Marjo & Sjef Netherlands | ||||||

| advice to all, this tours there are only photos, marc is incredible addition to suggestions on restaurants attractions .. makes you breathe real air of NYC. creating a photo album with photos incredible perfect .. often, to take a photo to make a memory to a passer .. but is almost always bad these are simply perfect .. few people around and I do not know as he did time square was the delirium thanks Mark for Italians do not be afraid if you do not know English do not need Marc is great served only you with your spirit of travellers This tours you enjoy forever a piece of NYC where there are you too .. you bring home a piece navel of the world and nobody ever I can 'take away ... | Mark is the best tour guide in NYC! He took us around all the places we wanted to see and took fantastic photos, which we will definately treasure. The prices are reasonable and the photos were delivered to the hotel in less than 24 hours. Mark was friendly, helpful and wrote doen numerous places for drinks and food, some of which we went to and found them to be great. If you are going to NYC - book this tour! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our photo tour which we booked for the afternoon after getting married at City Hall. Our main reason for booking was to get some iconic New York photos of us on our wedding day. Mark was both professional and laid back, putting us at ease. Being typically reserved English we were a little nervous that we would feel rather foolish being photographed, however, we needn't have worried, it was great fun and we got loads of pictures we would otherwise have never had. As we were flying home the next day, Mark was even able to get our photos to the hotel on the same day for which we were very grateful. As we had been in the city for a few days and done a lot of exploring ourselves we were familiar with a lot of the places that Mark took us to, however, we still learnt more about these places and Mark showed us things we had missed. We are delighted with our fabulous photos and the great experience we had. Thank you. | ||||||

| Marc is a very genuine and personable guy. The tour is informative and his insights/tips etc as a native New Yorker we found invaluable. Even very simple things like how to work the sub way ticketing system and navigating around from there. You can tailor the tour to your exact requirements or rely on Marc's descretion, either way your going to be well informed. We had the 3 hour tour and the ground you cover walking and on the sub way is amazing. We recommend doing this tour shortly after arrival as an ideal way to get a very personal orientation of this magnificent City. The pictures are amazing and there's plenty of them. It is also amusing to see the looks on peoples faces as you have the pictures taken, you feel like a VIP they think you are a VIP........... well hey for 3 hours we were!! | This was our first trip to New York City and meeting Marc on our first day was the best thing we could've done. It was awesome having him with us to tour us around and teach us how to venture around NY on our own. We really appreciated the Subway lesson, it came in handy later in our trip. We will highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a trip to NY. | ||||||

| If you are visiting NYC or even live there, this is something you have to do. It was soooo much fun and we have amazing pictures that we will have forever! Well worth the time and money. Marc is great and knows where he's going and what he's doing!! Just don't buy a new pair of sneakers and break them in on this tour!!! | ||||||

| First off I would like to say this was our first trip to New York City coming from Canada. We had advised Mark of this and told him we wanted to make this photo trip special being it was our first anniversary together. As a tour guide Mark was fantastic, as we went from photo location to photo location Mark was quick to point out local landmarks in the vicinity and provide history of the area we were in. Valuable as well, was Mark introducing us to the New York City Subway system which can be overwhelming at first but with Marks guidance we were able to fuigure out the system and this became an asset as our holiday moved along. As for the pictures Mark took we were both pleased and disappointed. Out of a total of 170 pictures taken by Mark that day, 37 were either over exposed or out of focus. Out of the approximately 7-8 action shots where we were walking only 2 were in focus. Some shots we did not know Mark was taking them so we were either looking away from him or trying to fix wind blown hair. In Mark's defence it was an extremely rainny, windy day but some adavnced notice of him taking the picture would have allowed for us to be ready. I would not recommend this tour in incliment conditions as it makes it hard to get good qualilty pictures as well as due to the low lighting the flash seemed to wash out many pictures. There were some very memorable pictures taken by Mark, however our only regret is that due to the weather there were not more. Due to time constraints you only have so much time and cannot go back and retake pictures once you are done. | ||||||

| During the 5 days we stayed in New York City the Photo Tour was the best thing to expirience. It was interesting, cool and different than other things..... Marc (our guide and photographer) did his job great..... Next time when we will be in New York will will do it again, for sure.... Lost of thanks and regards to Marc.... | We booked the 2hour personal photo tour and would definately recommend it. Photos are great and with all the famous backgrounds, Broadway, Times Square, The Subway, Grand Central Station,Lexington Ave,Brooklyn Bridge and finished up in Soho.We got all the photos we needed on this tour and more time to enjoy the sights.So would definately recommend this tour. | ||||||

| Having seen the great reviews of the phototrek tours before travelling to new york, we decided to book a three hour session, we were so glad we did!!! we were visiting New York for a week and booked the tour for the first morning of our holiday, Marc, the photographer arrived promptly at the meeting point, which is is a brill location because its easy to find and doesn't get too busy.He was easy to spot with a camera around his neck and after introductions we chatted about where our tour would take us, Marc has a route in mind but is happy to accommodate any requests. We went with the flow and followed the suggested itinerary which covered Times Square, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central station and many of the neighbourhoods. Marc was very helpful, he showed us how to buy a subway ticket and explained the different subway routes, this was really useful as it was our first day and made our sightseeing for the rest of the week easy!! At first we fell a bit shy having our photos taken but Marc put us at ease and we were soon posing like professionals! Marc answered all our questions about New York city and gave us an insight into life as a new yorker, including some of the best bars to visit and where to grab a bargain. During the tour Marc let us sneek a peek at some of the photos he had taken on the digital camera and asked if they were ok. This gave us the opportunity to say if we had any problems or wanted to do anything differently, however, we were very happy with the photos and continued to relax and let him do the hard work. We are so glad we followed Marcs lead and let him pick the areas to visit and where to take the pictures. The photos are amazing and are far better than we could ever have taken ourselves, especially as we are together in them, a rare luxury on holiday! Marc told us the CD with the images on would be left at the reception desk of our hotel within the next couple of days, which it was the following morning even though it was snowing heavily. Overall we really enjoyed our phototrek tour and have some fabulous pictures of our time in New York, i would definitely recommend this trip. | ||||||

| Although the cost at first may seem daunting. This is well worth the plunge!! As I was recovering from illness at the time, our guide offered to slow the pace, which I thought was nice. So this trip also offered good catch up time from the two days I had to spend in bed 'dying' and offered to give us the photo experience that showed where we had been. The trip is flexible to your taste's and where you want to see, which I think is a nice touch, whether its your first time to New York City or not. The overall pictures are great, good range and quality, and offers a chance to get pictures you wouldn't normally think of or be bothered to take. Plus it saves you having to take your camera out. Our guide also had a lot of knowledge, so is fantastic for finding out all those little bits, so so you need to think that the price is not just having someone taking your pictures, its getting other city tips, and learning other bits of history. So in all, I thoroughly reccomend this activity, and think of it as not an expense, but an investment into a good time, and memories :) | ||||||

| Me and my husband totally enyoyed this tour.....it was fantastic. Not only do you get a look around the city from an insider who can tell you things a book or map can't.......you also get your magical moments captured on film. From a couples point of view, most of our pictures was me here, Dave there but with this all the photos are of you together, enjoying the experience!!! If you fancy a tour thats a bit different and that is no-where else in the world then this is the tour for you!! Have fun, let us know your thoughts :-) Danielle x | ||||||
