The rock n punk walking tour was fun and the tour guide had tons of information -- and pointed out lots of hidden gems in the East Village area. It was easy going with a lot of stops and opportunities for photos. Definitely recommended for music fans!

the tour was really unique and not the typical tours that are out there that take you to the common tourist attractions we all know already....all the explanations were great and it was really cool to learn about who and what had to do with the buildings we walk by...it was an awesome tour...i wish there were more like this!

I have to say this is the best thing we did in New York. I love the Ramones and punk rock music from the 70's and 80's and really enjoyed the afternoon My girlfriend is into Celine Dion and she loved the tour as well! (She loved the stories and it has now given her a taste for the music). If you have any interest in what was going on in the New York scene or just love your music then this is the tour for you!

Interesting stories of the punk era

The tour guide was fun and informative. He had lots of stories and entertained stories from individuals who had first hand knowledge we bumped into on the way. I'd recommend adding current clubs to the tour such as those on the brochure handed to us at the end.

We had a terrific time on this tour. It was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he loved it! The walk through the East Village was educational, as we knew very little about this area of the City. I highly recommend the tour.

The tourleader is authentic, enthusiast and a great narrator. By his stories and examples you will relive the late 60's through 80's of Glam and Rock Punk in the East Village. Even if you are not a great Punk Rock fan it is still nice to know more about the East Village and its subculture.

The tour was very informative and a lot of fun!!! It was fun and exciting to see and hear all the little tidbits of info. about the area. I wouldd suggest trying an egg cream they are pretty good, tastes like a watered down float. good times!!!

Fan of punk and NYC's rock'n'roll history? Just curious? This is a fun 2 hour walking tour of the East Village that opens up your eyes to sights and experiences you don't get from your average guidebook. Bobby does a nice job of telling stories and showing you places that are part of NYC's music history - Joey Ramone's apartment, CBGB's, Charlie Parker's house and more. If you've got a good group of music fans, makes it even better!

Bobby Pinn's walking tour is a MUST if you're in NYC and a fan of REAL r'n'r such as New York Dolls, Dead Boys, Ramones, etc. He gives you a fantastic experience of the times back when it all happened around East Village – the history 'bout the big rock stars but also some cool stories about the underground heroes. A MUST, I say. Magnus Kull, Stockholm, Sweden

If you love music history, then New York City is a must see and The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour is MUST do. No matter how much you read, watch, listen and hear there is nothing like being guided around in person in a historic location to put it all in perspective. Standing in front of a building where classic rock events of the past have taken place and listening to stories being told by host Bobby Pinn is the closest thing I've had to a time machine! As I've already said a Must do! If I happen to grace the mecca of New York City again, I'll happily take The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour once more!! Cheers Bobby! I found the web page for Bobby Pinn's rock walks while looking for stuff to do on a short break in NY. His walk listed sites associated with bands I've been listening to for years so I signed up for one immediately. I then got an email form him asking if I'd like to change the date because the weather wasn't looking good for the day I'd chosen, which was easily taken care of. The walk itself takes a couple of hours and starts out where Joey Ramone lived, and fittingly ends up at the site of CBGBs. In between we visited nuermous places of musical interest in Greenwich Village and the Lower East Side, from GG Allin's hotel, to Madonna's first appartment, the site of Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album sleeve and a host of others. If you like the music that came out of NY in the late 70s you can't go wrong with this walk. If you're a music fan in general it's well worth doing. Bobby is an engaging and friendly host - I had a great time.

This was a very enjoyable way to spend some time - we walked through East Village and learned some cool info about rock 'n roll bands. Lot of history and fun as well. The tour guide, Bobby, had a good sense of humor and knew what he was talking about. I loved the visual ads offered with the record album covers. Highly recommend if you have a love of rock music.
