| We, my wife & I, came from the UK to do this tour after we read about it in The Telegraph (UK circulation daily paper). It totally matched our expectations and some more! Despite the rain, it was hugely entertaining and wanted it to run all day. A great find, I'd encourage anyone with the slightest bit of musical interest to do this. I play in a band in the UK, so I thought it very apt. These tours must be supported as these guys are the keeper of the Rock n Roll past and this stuff must not be lost to oblivion . . . Cheers, Trev . . . BTW: The band can be found at http://www.myspace.com/barebonesboogieband | ||||||

| Bobby, our Guide, not only had an incredible amount of information on many of our favorite bands of the time, but was able to deliver it with an attention grabbing style and a wonderful sense of humor. Thanks, Bobby, for a memorable time!! | ||||||

| Booked on the basis of London Daily Telegraph article and reviews on here. Turned out we were the only group that day, but "Bobbie Pinn" treated us to the full tour regardless. As a guide he is full of knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject and can hold forth with humour and authority on everything from Velvet Underground to his favourites - The Ramones. If he has a fault, it is that he assumes everyone is an enthusiast for every band he mentions. So we told him (cos he asked) that US punk had pretty much passed us by - though we were interested in what he could tell us - and he then continued to talk as if we had every NY Dolls and Ramones album issued. It's a very small criticism and only very slightly lessened our enjoyment of his rock'n'roll history lesson. A word of warning - NY can be hot and humid and this is a 2 hour walking tour at quite a brisk pace, so anyone who isn't somewhat fit may struggle. But go if you can, this is definitely one of the best things you can do with an afternoon in New York. | ||||||

| Very interesting to see famous venues (or the sites thereof) from the Seventies and Eighties. Particularly enjoyed CBGB's and Filmore East. Very informative & entertaining guide - Bobby ? | ||||||

| A very enjoyable and informative tour. Bobby Pinn is a fantastic guide, an enthusiast who knows his subject and delivers the goods with humour and insight. If you're a punk / glam rock fan this tour is for you, but anyone interested in the NY music scene over the last 40 years will get a lot out of this tour. Sure, you could Google all this stuff - but you won't be standing on the spot, with Bobby telling you his stories about the people who lived and played around the area. Unbeatable! | Excellent event!! Interesting, funny & informative guide made the whole event great fun! (He even suggested rearranging due to forecast bad weather a couple of days ahead ... which we did ... and it proved to be a good move!) A good mix of walking (not too far, which seemed to suit everyone) & stops to see interesting sites & listen to annecdotes. Well-sized group (not too big) made it easy to keep close to the guide whilst walking, which made 'chatting' between the stops possible, adding to the event. A useful leaflet was provided afterwards with recommendations for eating/drinking/music venues + a couple of discount vouchers thrown in. Focused mainly on Rock & Punk, but with a couple of sites to do with Blues & Jazz ... something for (almost) everyone. Thoroughly recommended! | ||||||

| We really enjoyed our East Village rock tour. Our guide (John Pimm?) is a real rock fan with a lot of knowledge, personality and personal experience about what he talk about. Many thanks and long live rock'n'roll! | ||||||

| Bobby Pinn provides an excellent walking tour. His knowledge of music and bands of the East Village is amazing. We loved how he talked about the bands and individuals, provided picutres of the time, and also provided some trivia for the group. The length of the tour was perfect and the pace was just right. I have been recommending this tour to everyone we tell about our trip. Definitely worth every penny!!!! Great fun! | ||||||

| The tour guide was fun and informative. He had lots of stories and entertained stories from individuals who had first hand knowledge we bumped into on the way. I'd recommend adding current clubs to the tour such as those on the brochure handed to us at the end. | ||||||

| The tour guide Bobby Pinn was excellent. He brought the area of the East Village to life and I had already been staring at 3 significant buildings before Bobby arrived not having a clue about their role in the East Village punk/glam rock scene. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a remote interest in the music and art of that era. If you like Iggy and the Stooges, The Ramones, Blondie, New York Dolls and Andy Warhol etc you will really enjoy this walking tour. | ||||||

| WE LOVED THIS TOUR!! The tour guide was very very informative and knowledgeable. He took his time answering questions and even took pics of us at some of the locations. My husband and I are both musicians, so we appreciated all the work and research put in to make this tour as informative as it was. I especially enjoyed the props out guide brought along (album covers, photos, articles). GREAT!! We would absolutely recommend this tour and when we next visit NYC we will definitely take another one of the tours offereed by the same guide (Beatles walk, etc.). | ||||||

| We had a really great time and Bobby was very knowledgeable about NY music. Would recommend this for anyone (adults) looking for some music history and pop trivia, as well as info on some of the buildings and neighborhoods on the walk. | ||||||
