| We had read the reviews and this walking tour proved to be every bit as interesting as promised. Not only that, we discovered the East Village and enjoyed the rest of the day in this area. Would certainly recommend to anyone with punk / rock interest | ||||||

| My fourteen year old and his friend are musicians and are serious music fans. They loved the tour and were impressed with all of the knowledge and passion for music that our tour guide had. It was fun and interactive and two hours went by so fast! They can't wait to go back and take a different tour. When I asked them what was the best part of their NYC trip they said "the rock tour"! | ||||||

| Awesome! We had a great time and look forward to taking another tour with Rock Junket. Our guide was knowledgeable and quite interesting. He showed us a neighborhood we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. | ||||||

| The rock 'n' roll walking tour had an unexpected multigenerational appeal. I'm 45, a little too young to have enjoyed the East Village scene while it was going on, but I discovered the New York Dolls, Velvet Underground, Dictators, and other neighborhood bands in college, and I passed my enthusiasm on to my son. I knew we both would enjoy the tour, but I didn't expect him to say, later, that it was his favorite activity in our five-day trip to New York City. My son got a huge kick out of seeing the building that's pictured on the cover of Physical Grafitti, as well as Joe Strummer's mural. Me, I liked seeing the Dom, where the Velvets had their Exploding Plastic Inevitable shows, and the site of the old Fillmore East. Bobby Pinn is an excellent guide, friendly and prepared. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys the bands that I mentioned above, plus the Ramones. Bobby is a huge Ramones fan. | ||||||

| The tour was great, Bobby managed to paint up the picture on how East Village looked like in the good ol' psychodelic dirty junky days. Extra plus for him bringing along photos - sometimes it is true that a pic says more than 1000 words. I did the tour together woth two teenagres that are dedicated punk fans and they were very enthusiastic. We went back gthe next days and walked through the whole tour, this stopping at Gem Store for a egg cream and for browing through the merchandise on the streets. Thanks to the tour we knew where to go and what to explore more in detail. I hadpromised the teenagers a tour round East Village and now in afterhand I realise that I would have been ENTIRELY lost if it was not for the Rock Punk Tour and Bobby. How in the world could ever a guidebook and map make up the amount of interesting information and sometimes firsthand information that Bobby gave us? And a word on what could be improved. Well, it was pretty brisk weather last weekend and a 10-15 min stop could maybe have been a good idea? Especially if you are not a native English speaker 2 hours of constant information flow in another language is quite heavy. Maybe prolong the tour with 15 min and allow a coffee or egg cream break, if the participants so wish? Overall, I thank you for arranging the tour, it made the trip to NY for two Finnish teenage punks something they will remember forever. | ||||||

| Having been a fan of the various NYC punk bands from this area it was fantastic to get a nostalgic trip round the places I had only read about up to this point. I brought along my 13 year old daughter and apart from that the fact she had to walk was engrossed by Bobby's stories. Bobby was a fantastic tour guide, providing his own insight and experiences aided by a few props he brought along in his magic punk bag. I was supposed to do this tour on the Thu, but Bobby got in touch and offered me an alternative as the weather was supposed to be bad on that day (it did pour down on the Thu), but the Fri the weather was brilliant and it shows the effort Bobby puts in to make sure his tour is a success. We even back-tracked after the tour and took advantage of the discounts Bobby mentioned at one of the stores we passed during the tour and to try an eggcream. I only have the highest praise for this tour and next time I am in NYC I hope to do the new tour Bobby mentioned, the Rock N Roll Pub Crawl. | ||||||

| Bobby Pinn is a spiky haired, animated, friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable guide. He is well suited to conducting this tour as he looks like a rock star himself. I took my 18 year-old daughter on the tour in August 2008 and we both enjoyed it despite the fact that she hadn't heard of a lot of the bands and artists. If you are into punk rock especially I would heartily recommend it. Bobby is very thorough and entertaining in his delivery and invites questions so don't hold back. There are many bars and eateries en route, some of which Bobby recommends. We particularly liked the fashion shops and at the end of the tour I would urge anyone to visit Trash and Vaudeville which is at the beginning of the route. The tour ends at the former CBGBs, now a gallery, and that's also worth a look. The staff in there are also very helpful and friendly. One piece of advice though: the tour is 2 hours long and we went in sweltering heat, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes. | ||||||

| The rock/glam tour of NYC's East Village proved to be a glorious mix of intriguing sites and informative background stories straight from the anals of rock history. A perfect 'add-on' to a visit to the Big Apple that will provide a slice of something a little unique and memorable that no 'tired' guide book ever could. The guide was a 'Diamond Gezzer' too!!! | ||||||

| I registered my son and I for the tour. My son digs the Ramones, the Clash and other punk groups and the tour hit many places of interest for him, especially the Joe Strummer memorial. I liked the broad rock and punk history that occurred in such a small enclave of the city; just a little more detail in a city filled with so many minute interests. The tour was also interesting on a personal and a professional level regarding the architecture of the neighborhood and the long transition its been going through with the evils of gentrification. The guide was knowledgeable regarding the local scene, the GG Allin tale a particularly good one. My son knew it all already though, but he liked relating it to where it happened. The tour was definitiely a highlight of our visit to the city. | ||||||

| We brought our kids from London to NYC for the first time - there's so much to wow them but this was a definate top trump with us and them. Bobby's tour of the East Viallage was perfectly pitched for all and brimming with anecdotes, insights and heritage. Unreservedly recommended for music fans of all ages. | ||||||

| Bobby Pinn knows his stuff. By being part of the music industry, he obviously gained knowledge and experience in the field. He resides in NY - the rock and roll center of the country. The tour was everything I thought it would be and more. If you are ever in NY, make sure you check this out. Keep on rockin in the free world! | ||||||

| I am not gonna list all sites visited etc on this tour as previous excellent reviews already have! What I am going to stress to you though is, you simply must check this tour out!! Everything I know and love about music stems from this area! The bands, their lifestyle, their music and their influence on us even to this day! What Bobby does is bring to life amazing stories about these bands, their lifestyles, where they played, drank, shot their album cover etc. Chuck in some other East Village stories (including the ones you never got to hear about!!!) And what you have is a thrilling two hours! He speaks with such knowledge, passion and his natural enthusiasm for this subject is clear to see! Backed up with fantastic visuals and some classic insight, it was enough to make you feel like you lived the experiences right there in the village! Bobby we cannot thank you enough for such a great afternoon, it was definitely one of our best days whilst in NYC! Legend! Julie, Jake & Heather. | ||||||
