Great gift

I took my brother on the tour as a gift for Christmas. It was a great gift and I learned a great deal about the history of music in the East Village. My only complaint was the weather was cold, certainly not the fault of the tour guide who did a great job.

Our flight was canceled and we arrived too late in NYC to have our booked tour on Sat Dec 20, 2008 at 11am. Your guide called my cell phone and said he would send coupons for another tour in the future if we returned to NYC. He said he would email something for me to return then he would send off the coupons we just arrived home monday and I have not received any email from hi We were impressed with the offer of the rebook coupons and are waiting for your response Debbie

Anecdotes and insight

Bobby was very friendly and offered a lot of information on the old haunts of the East Village where rockers and artists alike spent their nights. He was always open to answering questions and was knowledgable and funny. Lots of fun if you want to get insight into the crazy times of old, before all the legendary places closed and Kmart and Starbucks moved in!

Fantastically interesting and cool tour of the area we were staying in that highlighted spots we never could have known about - we wanted to know more about GG Allin and found out he had spent the last months of his life staying in the hotel we were staying in! Great tour guide who really knows his stuff & brings it all to life. It was a real highlight of our trip and we'll be buying the book for sure!

My son [age 15] and I had some time to kill in NYC this weekend and I had ordered up some tix for the tour. "Bobby" did a great job of finding these punk landmarks with accompanying terrific stories. Nice way to pass on my generation to my son's. We had a ball!

Cannot recommend highly enough

Met with guide Bobby Pinn at the time/place previously advised. Bobby was well informed, friendly and happy to answer any questions at any time throughout the tour, and provided photos and album covers to illustrate various stages of the tour. Anyone with more than a passing interest in 70's New York music should definitely take one of his tours(mine was the East Village tour). When I am next in New York I shall go on another one, as it is money well spent and 2 of the best hours during my stay. Well done Bobby Pinn and Rockjunket.com! Dave, London.

A must for music lovers of kinds!

If you love music history, then New York City is a must see and The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour is MUST do. No matter how much you read, watch, listen and hear there is nothing like being guided around in person in a historic location to put it all in perspective. Standing in front of a building where classic rock events of the past have taken place and listening to stories being told by host Bobby Pinn is the closest thing I've had to a time machine! As I've already said a Must do! If I happen to grace the mecca of New York City again, I'll happily take The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour once more!!

Alt i alt anbefalingsværdigt /D

Informative and fun

Up until now, I had not explored the East Village as much as I wanted to, and after this tour, I can't wait to go back. I'll definitely head for Manitoba's Bar, which was highly recommended by our tour guide. I'll have my nieces with me next time and I'll be able to point out some of the places our guide took us to, especially shopping on St. Mark's Place. Bobby Pinn made the tour informative and fun! You can tell he's really into all the bands and places he mentions.

A great tour and a must for Punk fans!

This was a great tour of the East Village rock scene. Anyone interested in early punk, Ramones, the Warhol scene, CBGB's, or general history of rock in NYC should take this tour. Spans a few generations, and there is something for everyone. I am 46 and I brought my 17 year old niece. We both enjoyed it equally! Also a great chance to see CBGB's before the predicted close. This tour is informative and fun. Don't miss it!

A great rock history of the East Village
Sat, Aug 13, 05   11:00 AM cvalentor Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
This tour is a must-do for any fan of the Ramones, Dolls, Iggy or Clash. Many punk landmarks and stories included, as well as history of the East Village and recent gentrification, etc. I was happy just to see Joey Ramone's building, but this tour included SO much more! Don't miss it! Christine Valentor Chicago P.S. SAVE CBGB!

I was amazing!!!

Bobby Pinn is super nice, and extremely knowledgeable. Most of the people in my group were into Classic Rock and he actually, shaped the tour and the info in provided to fit our interest, but he still covered a great deal of the other genres. My only regret was that I took the tour on the last day of my trip and I didn't get a chance to visit all the local spots he recommends, but I kept all the info, so next time I am in the city that will be the first thing I do.

A different kind of tour!
Fri, Jul 6, 07   1:00 PM cricri7 Female 30-39 International Tourist(s) Individual
I bought tickets for this tour because I have been to NY lots of times before and I was looking for something kind of different than the other walking tours offered in the city. The tour guide, Bobby Pinn, is an excellent guide. He really knows about the subjects he talks about and since this is relatively a new tour, there is not too many people and you get the individual feeling. We were 7 people and 5 of them went to have a beer with the tour guide afterwards. I recommand this tour highly before too many people hear about it and it becomes too popular!!!
