Very entertaining. Bobby Pinn is the real deal. His enthusiasm and affection for the people and places of the East Village make this a great way to spend a couple hours learning about an era that is slowly fading away. My wife and grown children loved it.

Great Experience

I had an opportunity to spend a week with my 17 year old son and his friend in NY over spring break. This was the 3rd trip to the city for them and they took the opportunity to look for the unusual not the typical tourist attractions. They decided that a trip around the east and west villages seeing and expierencing the culture and history of the music gendre would be great. We spent the first afternoon with the greatest tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and took us through the 1960's through the 90's. My Son was so inspired! He spent the next two days in the village researching all the history. I know he did not get to it all but he is now on a mission to learn more about the times and to experience/see what it was all about. I want to thank you for the tour and would recommend this to anyone who is interested in rock/punk history.

Despite an unseasonably cold and windy day, our host kept us enthralled throughout the entire walking tour. I'd highly recommend the experience to anyone interested in the punk or rock scene of the 70's and 80's East Village.

My son [age 15] and I had some time to kill in NYC this weekend and I had ordered up some tix for the tour. "Bobby" did a great job of finding these punk landmarks with accompanying terrific stories. Nice way to pass on my generation to my son's. We had a ball!

Very Cool Tour

Bobby knows his stuff. This was a cool tour if you are a rock and roll/punk fan. This is your history. It's a great way to see the sites and walk the same streets where these guys, Ramones, Iggy, Lou Reed and all made music history and lived their lives. Be ready for a quiz or two. This is not just a "Johnny Ramone slept here" tour. Cool stories behind the album covers and the background of other characters that made up the scene, GG Allin for one. Plus it's a great way to learn the Village streets. Do it.

The family that rocks together...

This was a great tour enjoyed by both my husband and I, punk rock enthusiasts, and our two 12 year old boys, aspiring punk rock musicians. The historical aspect of the tour along with Bobby Pinn's reartie made it a tour to remember. We're looking forward to the Dylan tour and the Beatles tour in the future.

My husband and I took this tour last week and enthusiastically recommend it. We were looking for something a bit off the beaten track where we would learn about an area of interest while touring a neighborhood that we were unfamiliar with. Our guide, Bobby, was excellent. His personal love for and experience with the subject matter made for a great experience. Additionally, he brought photos, articles and album covers, which were a nice reference. We loved it!

Great Depth of Knowledge!!

I found the Tour Guide, Bobby Pin, to be extremely knowledgeable about the NYC music scene above and beyond the landmarks visited and bands and scenes included in the tour. Also, the vintage props and photos added so much to understand the changes that have occurred since the time. This is a great tour for those who's life depended on the music that came from that era and area, and also for those who liked just a few songs here and there. I would highly recommend this tour! Thanks, Bobby!

We had a really great time and Bobby was very knowledgeable about NY music. Would recommend this for anyone (adults) looking for some music history and pop trivia, as well as info on some of the buildings and neighborhoods on the walk.

Fun and informative excursion

This tour was perfect for us. I had read about all the "rock and roll" sights in NY, many of which don't exist anymore, and would never have been able to visit them on my own. Bobby took us to many of them very efficiently, providing us with background and interesting anecdotes, complete with visual props. A very enjoyable time indeed.
