| Me and my two teenagers (14 &16) took the walking tour and had a great time. It was our first trip to NY City and I would highly recommend the tour for music fans of all ages. It was a great way to get a taste of all that New York has to offer. My kids are hooked on the Big Apple. We can't wait for our next visit. Thanks! | ||||||

| This is a great way to learn a little about the East Village while taking in some cool sights. It is a must tour for any New York Dolls or Ramones fan or anyone who has an interest in music history. Next time you are in New York, skip the silly bus tours and choose the Rock N Roll Walking Tour, you will be happy you did. | ||||||

| As a young punk I would have loved to have been in NYC during the hayday of this neighborhood but it is better late than never. I brought my family who was really not familiar with the music scene that was going on in NYC in the late 70's and early 80's. They really enjoyed the tour but probably not to the extent perhaps as I did. I believe all in our party would highly recommend this tour. | ||||||

| What a great 2 hours that was – starting at Joey Ramones’ one time apartment building, winding our way through the East Village and ending in the bathrooms of CBGBs. Bobby Pinn has obviously lived and breathed a lot of what he talks about, so the many asides & anecdotes come from his own experiences. And even with a hangover he related all this without notes. He was, though, ably armed with a stack of great photographs plus original record covers which he produced at the appropriate locations. Get on this tour quick because I don’t think these record covers are going to last. | ||||||

| We attended the Rock and Roll walking tour on 13 May 2006. It was a very interesting way to spend a few hours and recommended to anyone who is into some of the finer music that came out of NYC from the 60s+. The guide Bobby Pinn was a very likeable guy and provided many facts about the East Village and the bands and artists who put the place on the musical map. Whilst many of the original locations may have gone (this was known when booking the tour), others were a pleasant surprise such Madonna's first home in the city, Led Zep classic album cover location, and best of the bunch, CBGB. With the latter expected to close up at the end of the summer, visit it whilst you can. The owner permitted the tour unlimited access to the building for great photo opportunities without the deafening sound of some of the less than classic bands who seem to play the joint nowadays. Overall, this is a reasonably priced and great way to spend a few hours in the East Village. Bobby also provides top tips on some of the bars and clubs to hang out in if sticking around the area or coming back another time. | ||||||

| This was a last minute decision for a group of lads looking for something to do whilst our ladies did the sex in the city tour. We went into it with no expectation and loved every minute of it. The tour was interesting, informative & fun. The guide really held your interest at all times as well. It was great receiveuing a detailed insght into NYC's rich rocknroll heritage! | ||||||

| Bobby Pinn is a really cool guide for this tour of the East Village and the Rock n' Roll sights. If you are any kind of music fan, I feel this is well worth the $20-even if you don't know the music-it's cool to do something different than the typical NYC tours. The weather was beautiful and the sights and culture are so diverse, it really gives you a nice feel of the neighborhood and what it would have been like to be around the East Village in the late '60's and '70's through today. I highly recommend this tour and you will be cooler just for going! Tour ends at CBGB's (which is said to be closing in August-so sad!) | ||||||

| This was a good tour with a great guide - I didn't know who all the bands mentioned really were but it was an interesting delve into New Yorks punk history. The highlights were probably - Led Zeppelin album cover location and CBGBs, and also many of the guide's stories were interesting titbits I wouldn't have found out otherwise! I would recommend taking this tour if you already know a bit about the history and I would definitely recommend taking it before Aug/Sept when CBGBs is due to close as it's a great place to finish off the tour! It's also a great way to get better acquainted with the East Village and some of New York's history in general. I found it really helpful that the guide also put together a list of shops/bars etc that you might want to return to / visit with all the addresses on, I'd never have remembered where everything was otherwise! Thanks Bobby! | ||||||

| I recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of rock/punk/glam music or anyone interested in East Village, counter-culture history. The guide was really well informed and amusing. The sites and stories were absolutely fascinating both for me and my 16-year-old sons. Even my 70+-year-old mom had a good time. Great way to spend a couple of hours, and plenty of cool stores and restaurants to visit afterwards. | ||||||

| It was really interesting to learn the history behind some of my old favorite haunts. The first half of the tour was concentrated around the St. Mark's area, with historic details about places that I go to all the time. The second half was in and around alphabet city, and included lots of info about album covers, former artists' residences and so on. The guide, Bobby Pinn, seemed to have endless knowledge of the music world from an insider's perspective, and as a result the tour was geared more toward authentically local hot-spots as opposed to the typical tourist attractions. | ||||||

| We both really enjoyed the tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to New York. Bobby was very knowlegable and the tour was very interesting. This tour is a must if you are interested in The Ramones, Andy Warhol, Iggy Pop, The Clash etc. It was great to see where these people lived, hung out and filmed music videos. The tour ends at CBGBs and you get a chance to go inside, have a drink in the gallery and a look round CBGBs which is the perfect end to a great tour. Bobby really knows his stuff and gives you information you don't get from books. It was a fantastic day out and I would definitely take the tour again if back in New York. | ||||||

| We've just arrived back in Scotland from our vacation in New York and I have to say that the Rock Junket Tour was our personal highlight. For all you music fans and in particular fans who are interested in where punk originated from it was quite fascinating. My partner and I are both massive Ramones fans and it was fantastic to see where they lived & hung out etc. We didn't even realise Joey had a street named after him! It was great to see CBGB's as we had read and heard so much about it from books etc. So, to actually be there, standing outside it was something else. There were many interesting artefacts on the tour, things which we found particularly interesting were Iggy Pop's flat and where he walked his dog, the Joe Strummer mural, the Continental where all the bands played and Joey had his birthday parties, where Madonna lived before she became famous and of course all the Ramones stuff. May I also say that the guy who takes the tour, Bobby Pinn, is a really knowledgable person who certainly knows his stuff when it comes to the New York music scene. He's a really cool guy too and very friendly. So Bobby, if you ever read this and decide to carry out your dream to play golf on the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, you can drop us an email and we'll catch up with you for a beer!! | ||||||
