| It was wonderful to see these places that were once the pinnacles of the NYC music scene. The tour guide offered humorous and insightful stories about the musicians that played at these clubs. Due to the gentrification of the area the majority of the sites on the tour are now closed turned into noodle shops but it was awesome to hear about what some seemingly unimportant buildings were...once upon a time, long ago and far away. | ||||||

| A very enjoyable and informative tour. Bobby Pinn is a fantastic guide, an enthusiast who knows his subject and delivers the goods with humour and insight. If you're a punk / glam rock fan this tour is for you, but anyone interested in the NY music scene over the last 40 years will get a lot out of this tour. Sure, you could Google all this stuff - but you won't be standing on the spot, with Bobby telling you his stories about the people who lived and played around the area. Unbeatable! | If you're a music junkie, then I totallly recommend this walking tour. I've been to New York several times and consider myself pretty knowledgeable about music and pop culture, but there were several surprises on this tour. For example, one of my favourite NYC restaurants is right across the street from the building that Led Zepplin photographed for the cover of their Physical Graffitti LP, and I'd never made the connection until the tour guide (who was engaging and enthusiastic) pointed it out. Charlie Parker's house (which I'd probably never have found on my own) was another highlight and this bit of jazz history in the middle of a rock-and-roll tour was great! The tour was conducted at a leisurely and mellow pace (good thing if you have hangovers from the night before like we did), and it was a great way to introduce yourself to the layout of the St. Mark's neighbourhood if you've never been. | ||||||

| We, my wife & I, came from the UK to do this tour after we read about it in The Telegraph (UK circulation daily paper). It totally matched our expectations and some more! Despite the rain, it was hugely entertaining and wanted it to run all day. A great find, I'd encourage anyone with the slightest bit of musical interest to do this. I play in a band in the UK, so I thought it very apt. These tours must be supported as these guys are the keeper of the Rock n Roll past and this stuff must not be lost to oblivion . . . Cheers, Trev . . . BTW: The band can be found at http://www.myspace.com/barebonesboogieband | ||||||

| This tour delivered on what was promised. Two hour tour with lots of stories about rock legends - both international stars as well as local artists - all supplemented with photos and album covers. Highly recommended. | ||||||

| This was for the most part an interesting tour. The guide really did his research and gave an entertaining talk. He kept things interesting with trivia questions and prize giveaways. My only complaint is that there is one stretch of the tour (towards the end) where we walked several blocks with nothing to see/talk about. I understand why he wanted to end at the former CBGB's site, but he needs to either redo the route or find some more interesting stuff along the way. I felt that he could have talked about the Hells Angels block and gone into detail about the assassination attempt on Mick Jagger's life, for instance. Also - in the beginning he told us we could all go have a beer with him afterwards, but at the end of the tour he just vanished with a friend. | ||||||

| I can really recommend this tour. The guide Bobby knows the subject. He can also told you things you can't read from the books. So if you are interested about rock & roll and New York City this tour is MUST. | ||||||

| The tour guide Bobby Pinn was excellent. He brought the area of the East Village to life and I had already been staring at 3 significant buildings before Bobby arrived not having a clue about their role in the East Village punk/glam rock scene. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a remote interest in the music and art of that era. If you like Iggy and the Stooges, The Ramones, Blondie, New York Dolls and Andy Warhol etc you will really enjoy this walking tour. | ||||||

| This tour was a lot of fun. It was my first time in New York and I wanted to see the neighborhood that gave birth to punk rock. Our tour guide showed us very cool spots, from where Andy Warhol had his first party with the Velvet Underground, to what use to be The Murder Junkie's HQ! I highly recommend this tour for any fan of punk rock. | ||||||

| A fantastic tour with an extremely knowledgable and friendly guide, Bobby Pinn. Would recommend doing this tour early on in your trip as we did it a bit later and found out a lot of information about places we had been walking past for days! Very interesting and informative with lots of facts and picture opoorunities covering all the greats of Rock'n'Roll and even some jazz! | ||||||
