This tour was perfect for us. I had read about all the "rock and roll" sights in NY, many of which don't exist anymore, and would never have been able to visit them on my own. Bobby took us to many of them very efficiently, providing us with background and interesting anecdotes, complete with visual props. A very enjoyable time indeed. |

What Bobby Pinn doesn't know about the rock & punk scene in New York isn't worth knowing. He was an absolute font of knowledge and really made the music and artistic history of the East Village come alive for us. And yes, the egg creams from Gem Spa are fantastic and VERY addictive - will definitely be making these back home in Australia!
An entertaining and enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours and well worth the cost - highly recommended! |

Brilliant tour, enthusiastically and authoritatively presented. Very interesting and visited places the "rookie" tourist would never find. Plenty of photo opportunities. |

I can really recommend the tour since my expectations were fully met - we touched all most important points of interest and got detailed info on the backgrounds. I also really appreciated that we got some tips in the end where to go out/eat etc. Compliments and thanks a lot, the tour is really worth the money! |

Very interesting to see famous venues (or the sites thereof) from the Seventies and Eighties. Particularly enjoyed CBGB's and Filmore East.
Very informative & entertaining guide - Bobby ? |

We really enjoyed our East Village rock tour. Our guide (John Pimm?) is a real rock fan with a lot of knowledge, personality and personal experience about what he talk about. Many thanks and long live rock'n'roll! |

This tour is for those who are serious about the punk rock music scene in NY/East Village during the 70-80's. The Ramones are the holy trinity and everything starts from there...if your punk "lite" this is not the tour for you. I enjoyed the tour and learned how important the East Village was in the 70's. But I felt if I expressed loving the Go-Go's in the late 70"s "Johnny your so Queer" era, before thier pop hits, I would have been told to leave the tour. Bobby is serious and extremely knowledgeable about his music and I felt a little out of my league. I would like a tour of Billy Holiday-Diana Washington-Etta James-Judy Garland-and those great ladies and their contribution to NY music scene in the 40-50-60's. I would recommend the tour to friends coming to NYC, because there is nothing like it anywhere else and you have your own docent to the East Village. Wish we had a Bobby Pinn in LA who could take me through my own backyard and educate Los Angelenos about the music scene in the 60-70's.
Thank you, Connie Kuberski |

Pittsburgh Larry was our guide, great guy and story teller. He was in GV during 80's-on and maybe some before, so good eye-witness stuff in addition to historical. There were only 10 people on our tour, which made it very comfortable for hearing, walking the streets, and minimizing disruption for other pedestrians during the tour. Everything about the tour was so cool, but I especailly loved seeing the places where the album covers were photographed - to this day I miss vinyl, I lost all of mine in a flood, but ok, whatever, less baggage! Zerve tours Rule! |

If you've ever wanted to go, or just sung along to it, this is the tour for you! Bobby Pinn is passionate about the East Village, and the music culture that came out of it in the 60's and 70's. The tour I took on a beautiful sunny spring day was informative, engaging and occasionally moving. I can't speak highly enough of the man and the concept. I heard the East Village call my name.....and it felt like home. |

I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the tour. Having been a Punk fan for many years it was amazing to visit the actual sites where many brilliant punk events took place. Bobby Pinn was passionate, interesting and held us all captive with his stories and tales which also give an insight to the history of the city of New York and how it's geography influenced it's music and it's characters.
Even though it pissed down with rain and we saw someone being knocked over by a car (not hurt by the way) nothing stopped us from carrying on with the tour. I would have happily had a break and then walked for another 2 hours. I then bought the book Bobby wrote and visited other Punk/Rock landmarks. It was the highlight of my stay in New York. |

I enjoyed this tour a great deal & recommend it to others. The tour guide did an outstanding job of mixing knowledgeable with humor, and he's very approachable. It was also good that I planned this tour on a nice day, which made the walk more enjoyable. I also like the summary of the tour that was handed out at the end, as well as the fact that the cell. # was listed on the ticket, as I was running a few minutes late & I would've missed the tour had it not been for that..
Overall, all went well & i had a real good time. |

a wonderful 2h trip into the heart of the East Village and his musical history. If you want to learn more and see where the Ramones began, where Warhol and his factory held partys, what kind of building inspired Zeppelin for "you know which cover album" I'm talking about...well you will learn a whole bunch of stuff with the help of those amazing guides who will make those streets talking musicaly to you.
Fantastic walking tour
Thank you again... |

We both really enjoyed the tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to New York. Bobby was very knowlegable and the tour was very interesting. This tour is a must if you are interested in The Ramones, Andy Warhol, Iggy Pop, The Clash etc. It was great to see where these people lived, hung out and filmed music videos. The tour ends at CBGBs and you get a chance to go inside, have a drink in the gallery and a look round CBGBs which is the perfect end to a great tour. Bobby really knows his stuff and gives you information you don't get from books. It was a fantastic day out and I would definitely take the tour again if back in New York. |
