Great tour by Bobby Pin. This was an excellent way to see rock n roll New York. Bobby knew what he was talking about and his recommendations for places to shop, eat, and drink were great!

Met with guide Bobby Pinn at the time/place previously advised. Bobby was well informed, friendly and happy to answer any questions at any time throughout the tour, and provided photos and album covers to illustrate various stages of the tour. Anyone with more than a passing interest in 70's New York music should definitely take one of his tours(mine was the East Village tour). When I am next in New York I shall go on another one, as it is money well spent and 2 of the best hours during my stay. Well done Bobby Pinn and Rockjunket.com! Dave, London.

5 days in East Village!

I had my startingpoint in my 8-dayvication at St. Marks Hotel in East Village. Fantastic feeling just to be there in the area where so much has happend threw the years & in the same hotel as Ramones lived in during there startuptime & where G.G.Allin spent his last 9 month.(Cheap, clean Hotel with excellent helpful stuff). Bobby Pinns "Rock Junket Tour" was very inspiring with lots of places you cant leave N.Y.C. without a look at. As C.B.G.B.´s former place,Joey Ramones NYC pad,Iggy Pops,Andy Warhols & Madonnas former recidents among many other interesting places we saw. I look forward to the release-date of Bobby Pinns book about all this and more. Enthusiastically Recommended by Bjorn V. from Sweden.

A Great Diversion from the Usual

I'm not a fan of tourist traps, preferring always to seek out the 'realness' of a new place. I thouroughly enjoyed my tour. It was very informative, while still being relaxed and casual. I think my experience was enhanced more by the fact I had not ventured into that particular part of town. I showed me the New York I wanted to see - the rock history. Great!

Alt i alt anbefalingsværdigt /D

This tour was a lot of fun. It was my first time in New York and I wanted to see the neighborhood that gave birth to punk rock. Our tour guide showed us very cool spots, from where Andy Warhol had his first party with the Velvet Underground, to what use to be The Murder Junkie's HQ! I highly recommend this tour for any fan of punk rock.

Great Guide And A Good Tour! You See A Lot Of Historical Places And You Get A Lot Of Information. If You Have A Little Imagination You Can Take Your Brain Back In Those Days And You Can See The Ramones, Iggy Pop Or Television Walkin' The Streets And Performin' Their Gigs!

The tour guide was excellent - really brought alive the various sights and told us the history, hardly any of which I had heard before. Highly recommended.

Interesting and fascinating way to spend a couple of hours round the many points of musical interest around the East Village and the Lower East Side in the company of an knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. I even learnt something - Madonna used to be a drummer! Amazed that CBGBs is now a (very, very!) expensive clothes store. Highly recommended and very enjoyable..

Up until now, I had not explored the East Village as much as I wanted to, and after this tour, I can't wait to go back. I'll definitely head for Manitoba's Bar, which was highly recommended by our tour guide. I'll have my nieces with me next time and I'll be able to point out some of the places our guide took us to, especially shopping on St. Mark's Place. Bobby Pinn made the tour informative and fun! You can tell he's really into all the bands and places he mentions.

A great tour ! I would have struggled to find many of these landmarks on my own without the help of the brilliant and enthusiastic Bobby Pinn. The East Village is an area I knew little about, but I will return to explore this area again on future trips. Of course it's a slightly bitter sweet tour as many of the buildings were not designated Landmarks and have changed and not for the better. All the more reason to take this tour ! Ps Try the Egg Creams, they are incredibly refreshing.

In the spirit of the independents, Bobby Pin's tour of the East Side of Manhattan is fully recommended for any fan of alternative music- thanks to his knowledge, see where the Led Zep Physical Graffiti cover was taken, where Warhol hosted his parties, the Fillmore, CBGBs and of course, The Ramones. Brilliant.

When I booked this tour I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The guide was excellent. It was great to see where a lot of it happened. Now I really understand the phrase "drugs, sex, rock & roll". My highlights where Andy Warhol's influences, Bill Graham and the Fillmore East. It dosen't matter what type of rock music you listen to it's a great tour.
