Fantastic

In the spirit of the independents, Bobby Pin's tour of the East Side of Manhattan is fully recommended for any fan of alternative music- thanks to his knowledge, see where the Led Zep Physical Graffiti cover was taken, where Warhol hosted his parties, the Fillmore, CBGBs and of course, The Ramones. Brilliant.

We had read the reviews and this walking tour proved to be every bit as interesting as promised. Not only that, we discovered the East Village and enjoyed the rest of the day in this area. Would certainly recommend to anyone with punk / rock interest

I can't overstate how good this tour & its guide, Bobby Pinn, are. Two hours of impassioned and entertaining NY Glam, Punk and Rock mischief in the East Village and the notorious Alphabet City. Sign up now!

Excellent-Brings me back to those early rock days
Thu, Mar 12  1:00 PM tomjefferies Male 50-59 International Tourist(s) Individual
When I booked this tour I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The guide was excellent. It was great to see where a lot of it happened. Now I really understand the phrase "drugs, sex, rock & roll". My highlights where Andy Warhol's influences, Bill Graham and the Fillmore East. It dosen't matter what type of rock music you listen to it's a great tour.

We really enjoyed our East Village rock tour. Our guide (John Pimm?) is a real rock fan with a lot of knowledge, personality and personal experience about what he talk about. Many thanks and long live rock'n'roll!

The tour was great, Bobby managed to paint up the picture on how East Village looked like in the good ol' psychodelic dirty junky days. Extra plus for him bringing along photos - sometimes it is true that a pic says more than 1000 words. I did the tour together woth two teenagres that are dedicated punk fans and they were very enthusiastic. We went back gthe next days and walked through the whole tour, this stopping at Gem Store for a egg cream and for browing through the merchandise on the streets. Thanks to the tour we knew where to go and what to explore more in detail. I hadpromised the teenagers a tour round East Village and now in afterhand I realise that I would have been ENTIRELY lost if it was not for the Rock Punk Tour and Bobby. How in the world could ever a guidebook and map make up the amount of interesting information and sometimes firsthand information that Bobby gave us? And a word on what could be improved. Well, it was pretty brisk weather last weekend and a 10-15 min stop could maybe have been a good idea? Especially if you are not a native English speaker 2 hours of constant information flow in another language is quite heavy. Maybe prolong the tour with 15 min and allow a coffee or egg cream break, if the participants so wish? Overall, I thank you for arranging the tour, it made the trip to NY for two Finnish teenage punks something they will remember forever.

Amazing Tour

Bobby Pinn provides an excellent walking tour. His knowledge of music and bands of the East Village is amazing. We loved how he talked about the bands and individuals, provided picutres of the time, and also provided some trivia for the group. The length of the tour was perfect and the pace was just right. I have been recommending this tour to everyone we tell about our trip. Definitely worth every penny!!!! Great fun!

Great tour for NYC punk fans

A great little tour that ties together many influential bands through the East Village streets. A remarkable amount of history in such a small area. Bobby is relaxed and informative guide and clearly loves the music he is talking about. Highly recommended for anyone interested in The Stooges, The Velvet Underground and The Ramones.

Bobby Pinn was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate guide - despite how freezing it was outside, the 2 hours flew by. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in music.

It`s a great tour. Only downside is that many locations are being shut down, and new stuff are oppening in their places. But the guide knows a lot, and is a great guy.

Our flight was canceled and we arrived too late in NYC to have our booked tour on Sat Dec 20, 2008 at 11am. Your guide called my cell phone and said he would send coupons for another tour in the future if we returned to NYC. He said he would email something for me to return then he would send off the coupons we just arrived home monday and I have not received any email from hi We were impressed with the offer of the rebook coupons and are waiting for your response Debbie
