A must for music lovers of kinds!

If you love music history, then New York City is a must see and The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour is MUST do. No matter how much you read, watch, listen and hear there is nothing like being guided around in person in a historic location to put it all in perspective. Standing in front of a building where classic rock events of the past have taken place and listening to stories being told by host Bobby Pinn is the closest thing I've had to a time machine! As I've already said a Must do! If I happen to grace the mecca of New York City again, I'll happily take The East Village Punk Rock Junket Tour once more!! Cheers Bobby! Bobby Pinn's walking tour is a MUST if you're in NYC and a fan of REAL r'n'r such as New York Dolls, Dead Boys, Ramones, etc. He gives you a fantastic experience of the times back when it all happened around East Village – the history 'bout the big rock stars but also some cool stories about the underground heroes. A MUST, I say. Magnus Kull, Stockholm, Sweden

Fan of punk and NYC's rock'n'roll history? Just curious? This is a fun 2 hour walking tour of the East Village that opens up your eyes to sights and experiences you don't get from your average guidebook. Bobby does a nice job of telling stories and showing you places that are part of NYC's music history - Joey Ramone's apartment, CBGB's, Charlie Parker's house and more. If you've got a good group of music fans, makes it even better!

The tour was very informative and a lot of fun!!! It was fun and exciting to see and hear all the little tidbits of info. about the area. I wouldd suggest trying an egg cream they are pretty good, tastes like a watered down float. good times!!!

This tour was fun. Bobby Pinns/Rock Junket, the tour 'director', was very personable and knowledgeable about music, history and the East Village in general, providing lots of local colour and trivia, and pointing out places that the average rock fan would likely not have been able to find on their own. He was also able to tailor the tour 'on the fly' to include places of interest to the jazz fans among us. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves rock music, especially the punk and glam eras of The Ramones, The New York Dolls, The Sex Pistols.

The tourleader is authentic, enthusiast and a great narrator. By his stories and examples you will relive the late 60's through 80's of Glam and Rock Punk in the East Village. Even if you are not a great Punk Rock fan it is still nice to know more about the East Village and its subculture.

The tour was very informative and highly entertaining. Bobby (the tour guide) clearly knows his music history and the associated landmarks of the East Village. In addition to the RnR component of the tour, it was nice walking the area with someone that's a local resident. My wife and I had our son with us (he's 15). He enjoyed the tour as well.

The Rock Tour was a lot of fun. Bobby Pinn loves rock and you can tell by his youthful enthusiasm and bleach blonde hair. As a twenty something I enjoyed the tour as much as my 50 year old dad would have. He covers classic rock to punk and shows you landmarks you would've just walked by without knowing it was there. This tour truely rocks and I highly recommend it!

We love the East Village

We had already done a fair bit of exploring in the East Village before taking this tour, but the two hours we spent doing this were great. We found out that we had walked right past several sites that we would have never known what they were or what had happened there if we hadn't taken this tour. I love Led Zeppelin and the Stones and my 14 year-old son loves the Ramones, so we had a blast visiting places and hearing stories about them. Bobby was cool and this turned out to be one of our favorite things that we did while in NYC.

The best thing about this tour is it goes around to all sorts of places i would never have found or recognised if i had not been on the tour. old classic venues are now shops and banks. and the other great thing about the tour is the tour guides stories - they bring the locations alive - interesting engaging and entertaining. I would reccommend this for any fans of this era of New York music.
