Seller Description:
The most exceptional resident sail vessels in the New York Harbor are the Schooners Adirondack and Adirondack III. They held the record finishes in the Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race for 14 consecutive seasons (1994 - 2007). Though they are light and lively sailing vessels, they are also quite comfortable, with ample deck space and seating for up to 49. They were built and designed for taking groups of people on spectacular sightseeing adventures by Scarano Boat Building of Albany, NY.
They are operated by Coast Guard certified captains and extremely friendly and talented crew.
Sailing these schooners is an absolute honor and a privilege. They move through the water so efficiently and beautifully, we take great pride in sharing them with you. Known for their amazing hospitality, our crew is all professionally trained and experienced on sailing our vessels well and safely. Activity Description
Join us for our NY State Beer and Cheese Pairing Sail! It's an adventurous 2-hour sail aboard one of our classic pilot schooners!! As you sail aboard one of these beautiful vessels through New York Harbor you will be treated to 5 different beers being paired with 5 New York State Cheeses!
This 2 hour event includes:
- A 2-hour sail aboard one of our classic sailboats: the Schooner Adirondack or Adirondack III.
- 5 New York State craft brews, as they are expertly paired with 5 specially chosen New York State farmstead cheeses.
- A special guest host from a local brewery (such as Coney Island Craft Brews, Kelso, Keegan Ales & Fire Island Brews) to share insight, history and beer-making tales.
- Exquisite views from the Hudson River and New York Harbor!
Some of the sites you'll see along along the way will include the New York City skyline, Battery Park, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty!
Sit back and relax as our crew serves you and you take in the views of Manhattan while tasting some NY State's best brews and cheeses at sunset!
What Is Not Included?
Gratuity is not included in the price of your sail. Parties of 12 or more will be contacted shortly after purchasing tickets to provide credit card information for an additional charge of 18% gratuity.
