Wall Street Walks

Even though it was a cold day (and I mean cold) I still had a great time on the wall street tour. The history behind wall street and the surrounding structures and neighborhood was very well described by our tour guide. The audio helped and we even got individual hand warmers compliments of the tour guide. Well worth the money and time to see everything!!!!

Except for the cold weather, it was great. Previous reviews detailed problem with hearing tour guide but with use of headseats, that has been eliminated. Informative and fun! Thx!!

Informative tour, unfortunately the guide didn't have an amplification device, so unable to hear much of the presentation. Did the best she could, but disappointing.

Interesting times for our Financial Industry. Great historical context. Was particularly surprized by number of people who live there and raise families. Guide very well informed and entertaining.

Ran a little long which messed up our next activity but it was packed full of information. Guide was very knowledgable. Really enjoyed it.

Positives: Had reservation to see the gold vault at the Fed (that needs much advance reservations), covered highlights of the financial district, guide was knowledgeable, friendly and offered to add time at the end to see around the Sept 11 memorial (though not inside as that requires advance rservation). Negatives: Though guide was open to questions, those looking for a very indepth discussion would not be satisfied. It was fine for our group, including kids, as an introduction to the financial district with historical references/pictures. Going down to the gold vault had a cool factor to it but it was a bit underwhelming.

There were 37 people in our walking tour group and only one guide. 37 is over twice as many as any guide can properly talk to, answer questions from, and guide through crowded streets and tight sidewalks. The company provided customers headphones linked to a microphone on the guide in order to be heard over street noise. But they didn't have enough equipment for everyone in the group and many headphones didn't work or have charged batteries. The guide himself was fine, but told too many stories that he admitted were "popular legend" rather than real history. There are too many other quality walking tour companies in New York to waste money on a poorly-run company like this.

Our guide Annaline was so informative and made a rather dry subject come to life for us. Would recommend it to anyone and would even take the tour again.

Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the history of Wall Street and how the system works. She had been a broker for many years and actually had worked for my present employer. She was always professional and answered any questions that members of the group had and would always asked if anyone did have a question. It was a great way to see Wall Street and hear the history as you walked and stood infront of the buildings where this history was made.

Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Anyone with any curiosity about history and Wall Street will not be disappointed.

Our guide was fantastic about answering questions and his knowledge made this a very worthwhile tour. It was the best tour that we took while in NYC.

The tour was well organized and extremely informative. Our tour guide shared his vast knowledge in a way that was easy for everyone to understand. The walking was at a perfect pace for families. Well worth the time and energy.
