Attended: Tour de Boston

We took the Tour de Boston. It was fantastic. The tour guides were very informative and kept us safe. I felt safer biking in Boston than my little NH town. The pace was great for both me and my 11-year-old. We can't wait to go back.

Attended: Boston City View Bicycle Tour

I took 4 different tours of the city: bus, walking, driving and boating. Biking was the most fun, best views and more close up and personal. The tour was 3 hours and it ran over a bit but that was generous of them. Be quick with camera and get back on the bike, you can't hold up the tour. No refunds so plan carefully, $55 for tour felt fair. Decided against the Go City pass because it only reduced the cost of the bike not the tour. Boston is a really bike friendly city but it is a city. I did aggravate one driver when I thought he was gridlocked so I tried to squeeze through but he almost nudged me with his car... Be careful at all times. I was assigned to be the trail rider.

Attended: Hybrid Bike Rental

I rented a bike to watch my boyfriend run the Boston Marathon. It was a very comfortable and easy ride. I was able to easily maneuver around the oodles of people in Boston that day. I would highly recommend renting from Hybrid Bike Rental. The two women that were assisting me (one at check out and the other fitting me with the bike) were very helpful and encouraging. (I questioned my sanity renting a bike on Marathon Day.) The bikes were in great condition and drove very smoothly despite the many bumps on the roads and pathways that we took getting to mile 17 on the marathon route.

We had a wonderful time touring Boston with Urban Adventure Tours. The staff was very helpful before and after the tour. Our two tour guides were very knowledgeable, especially the "History Guru". They provided a lot of little facts that you don't read I. A history book.
