There is more to NY than Manhattan

This is a great tour, getting you away from the tourist traps of Manhattan.

On this tour you will learn about Brooklyn, see a few iconic movie locations - the elevated train area where they shot the intro to Saturday Night Fever was my fave - visit Coney Island and, best of all you get some awesome pizza too.

The pizza was delicious and while 2 pizza stops might not seem many, the portions are big and most folk will have trouble finishing their portions at Spumoni's.

We had a funny and knowledgeable guide which is always important on this type of tour.

Top tips...try the old style sodas at Grimaldi and ride the Cyclone at Coney Island.

Great service too, we missed our original tour as we got the pickup place wrong, but they booked us on a later tour without any fuss.

Great time with Marc and Edwin(driver)

Marc should be doing stand up comedy as he's very entertaining but also knowledgeable. the Pizza tour was awesome but OMG i ate way too much. Maybe a bit more time between pizza stops? i'd never been to Brooklyn so this was a great way to see it and also to avoid the lineups at Grimaldis. You won't be disapointed.

Paula was a good guide. The pizza was abundant and good. A good way to spend a Sunday. About the right price. Will recommend.

My 18-year old son and I took the Brooklyn Pizza Tour as one of our "mother/son" NYC activities before he goes away to school. It was the right amount of fun, exercise and education/history that we have come to enjoy with every Zerve-sponsored tour we've taken! Our tour guide, Paula, had just the right amount of "attitude," education and a phenomenal grasp of the history of her borough that brought everything to life. What I find most amazing about this and other Zerve tours is how the tour guides synchronize film and television clips so perfectly with the surrounding geography where they were filmed or occurred...Paula's timing was impeccable as was her graciously Brooklyn "attitude" throughout our tour! Oh, and lest I forget, the pizza is terrific, too!

Interesting Tour

The tour was interesting and both pizzerias served fantastic food (especially the 2nd one). The guide was very knowledgeable and had a good rapport with the tour group. Be advised the tour we went on was a normal sized coach and not a small party as I assumed it would be. I think it would have been better to structure the tour so the pizza visits were further apart (only 1 hr) as we were still full from the first one when we reached the second and better restaurant. I do think it's slightly expensive but on the plus side, you do cover a lot of ground and the tour itself lasts for 4 hrs or so. The film clips were interesting but they did seem to originate from the 70's/80's and I'm pretty sure Brooklyn has been the backdrop for more recent films. That said, we did enjoy the tour.

Paula was entertaining throughout. A nice blend of information, education and gossip. We liked the later best. The selected stops were fine, the group split on which they like best, thin crust v, yeast raised crust. We went more for the tour of Brooklyn than the food. Paula was knowledgeable answering questions outside the programmed talk. We saw a number of Brooklyn neighborhoods which we enjoyed. Edwin, our driver, did a fine job chauffeuring us around. Look forward to the pub tour

Pizza, pictures, and Paula

What a great way to see Brooklyn. Paula was terrific. She showed us the best places to take pictures around Brooklyn and back towards Manhattan. The choice of the two pizza stops were great to contrast the different tastes of thin and thick crust. Coney Island was a nice addition but a little more time here would have been nice. The added movie clips and bits of gossip were an unexpected addition. Looking forward to the new chocolate tour on our next visit.
