A friend at work recommended this tour to me after I mentioned that my husband and I were going on a weekend trip to Memphis. Our tour guide was Memphis Jones. What a great entertainer and musician! Wow. Absolutely amazing! Loved, loved, loved this tour! You can not go to Memphis without doing this tour.

Being new to Memphis, I've been interested in learning what makes this place tick. When some friends came to visit last fall, I discovered the Mojo Music Tour and we loved it. Recently another friend came to town and this tour was first on my list of things to do. I have had two entertainer/tourguides (1st-man; 2nd-woman) and each one approached the tour from a little different angle. I preferred the first one because he pointed out more of the sites we passed, and he actually had known Sam Phillips, Rufus Thomas and other greats. The concept of the tour is delightful, and I will continue to take my out-of-town guests on it because it gives a good overview of Memphis music history in a unique way.

Memphis Jones was very entertaining - musically and historically. The time went by very quickly - and my husband played a mean tambourine.

This is my first tripadvisor review...really enjoyed THIS bus tour. Kathryn was amazing! She was funny, appropriate, informative, and boy, could she sing. Enjoyed every second of my 90 minutes with her...didn't want it to end! This is great for everyone, but if you're only in Memphis for a day, the Mojo Bus Tour is for you.

My husband and I LOVED this tour. Music, Music, Music with Brandon "Stunning" Cunning. He seamlessly wove the historical and musical culture together in our 1 1/2 hour Mojo Tour. Not to mention that the boy can Sing! And Joke! and engage his tour. Highly recommended. You will not be sorry to take the only musical bus tour around! The only thing better would have been MORE!! Kudos to Backbeat Tours!

Jake had such enthusiasm for his city, it was quite contagious. Lots of fun on a cold, snow flurry day in Memphis.

This was a very engaging tour and a really good overview of Memphis' musical history. Time flew by and it was over before I knew it. My only quibble (if you can call it that) is that there wasn't enough representation of the blues aspect.
