We had no idea what this would be like but we were in for a GREAT time!! We actually had a private tour due to cancellations which surprised us that the company didn't re-schedule our family!! The host, Memphis Jones, is a definite asset and needs a raise!! (He did not say to say that). He seemed to have somewhat of a program but then seemed to tailor it to fit us. We learned about music history, heard some great music sung by Memphis, saw some history of Memphis and learned some life lessons also. By the end of the tour, we were all laughing and singing along with the music. On this vacation, we stayed 3 days in Memphis and 4 in Nashville-the whole family agreed this was the best thing we did!!

I don't know if we will ever go back to Memphis but if we do, we will be on the bus!!! And will definitely tell others!

Memphis Jones provided great entertainment for our tour...playing favorite songs and interjecting humor while providing interesting information to the stops along the way. Many of us played tambourines and used shakers to keep time with the music that Memphis played. I highly recommend this tour! Also, the Blues City Cafe has the best Memphis BBQ ribs...enjoy!!

This is the first thing we did in Memphis and it was great! We were on a quick weekend getaway, so fun and relaxation was our goal. We got that and quite an education about music and Memphis too! Highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide was amazing! If I had more time, I would have taken this tour again! Very entertaining, informative, interesting and a true feel for the Memphis music history. Should I ever come back to Memphis, we will definitely book this tour again!

After reading the rave reviews, maybe we just expected too much. For starters, it was so hot you could barely breathe on the bus. The backs of our shorts were completely soaked when we got off. The entertainer (I think his name was Ping) was very good, but there just seemed to be a lot of riding with very little actual "sight-seeing" involved. Plus there was a lengthy souvenir stop at Sun Studio, which we had already toured. For us it simply did not live up to the hype and we probably would not recommend it to friends visiting Memphis.

We really enjoyed this tour. It was fun and entertaining. We drove by several landmarks and they were pointed out and a story was told and sometimes a song. We stopped briefly at Sun Studios for a quick break. It was a great way to see the city.

My husband and I were in Memphis for the weekend and we wanted to do some sightseeing. We ran across Backbeat Tours and We selected the Mojo Tour. It was hands down the one of the funnest tours we have ever taken! The tour guide was great..he and the driver worked very smoothly together. Loved how the guide played music in between stops and the audience got to join in with tambourines and shakers! Was kinda bummed we didn't get to keep the shakers though but it definitely Made for an exciting trip! Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Memphis!

This tour was awesome, entertaining, and informative! Memphis Joe was our tour guide on the Memphis Mojo Tour and I highly recommend this tour! He plays the guitar and sings, and tells the stories of rock 'n roll legends. My daughter and I loved it! You've got to take this tour. You will not regret it!

We also took the Walking Ghost Tour! Loved it too! Our guide was very entertaining and informative as well.

The tour turned out way different than I expected. I thought we would be carted to Sun studio, STAX studio and some other places where we would take each of those paid tours.

Instead, Memphis Jones gave sang some of the songs that were milestones of the Memphis contribution to rock and R&B. And he told us and showed us where those songs fit in.

It was entertaining, insightful and just plain fun.

A year or so ago, I bought a Rhino collection just to get "Rocket 88". It cost more than the Mojo tour, and all I got was the song. Our tour guide let us know why the song was important.

Being "damn Yankees", the bus was too hot for our taste. But we certainly did love the tour.
