WONDERFUL! Highly Recommend for everyone!

My Fiancee and myself decieded on a last minute weekend getaway to Memphis and after reading other reviews concerning the Mojo Tour we decieded to try it - I/we are so glad we did!

Being a week day the bus was not packed and there was plenty of room. The bus was a 50's era bus but was very comfortable and well air conditioned while maintaining the retro theme. Our tour guide "Nancy" was very informative and passionate about her city and it's culture making the tour peronal and very interesting - one of the best we've ever taken!

I would highly recommend this tour (and have already) to anyone - it is money and time well spent!

Good place to start for Memphis first time visitor

This was our first time to visit Memphis. We thought this tour would be a good foundation for where to start. The customer service and tour guide were very kind and funny. Our 11 year old son was scheduled to go with us, but got sick at last minute, so it was just my husband and I. You could bring any beverages you wanted on the bus with you (alcoholic or nonalcholoic) which we liked. The bus boards at an ideal location on Beale Street. We went over spring break and we were the youngest on the bus and we are in our 40's. So the crowd was a lot more mellow than I anticipated. But we made the best of it and the tour guide did a good job trying to get the rest of the crowd more engaged. It was interesting to see all of the spots Elvis grew up and worked at. Also how other artists during the same period - Johnny Cash, BB King, Aretha Franklin and other famous song writers were up and comers.

My daughter and I went on the 11:30 tour with our drinks in hand. The tour guide was very informative

and a lot of fun, and boy could he sing! The hour and a half flew by and before we knew it, it was already over. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, and actually already have!

I was disappointed that the bus was not the vintage model featured on their web site, but the tour guide more than made up for it with his performance. I left with a feeling of what it was to live during this era.

A fantastic tour. You learn a lot and have a great time doing it. You can even pack a cooler to bring on the bus with you. Our guide was great - lots of history, music, and personality. Of our party of four, two had never been to Memphis. They were totally amazed and entertained. My wife and I had been on the tour previously (maybe five years ago), and we could not wait to do the tour again and we once again had a great time. You have to do take this tour - it is a blast!!

We had the most marvelous time! Lots of music history and lots of fun! We would recommend this to everyone! A total different view of Memphis! The staff was fantastic! If I had to tell people to do one thing when in Memphis, this would be it!

Great way to get an overview of Memphis!

The Mojo tour is an entertaining and informative tour of many Memphis highlights. I would have marked 5 stars had the tour been on the usual Mojo bus, but apparently the bus was in the shop, and our tour had to be taken on a standard "for hire" small tour bus... I think that disrupted the trip a bit. But the guide was great- a good singer and knowledgeable/friendly.

One of the best tours ever!

My family had not heard about the Memphis Mojo Tour until my wife picked up a brochure from the Peabody Hotel (we were watching the procession of ducks from the indoor pond...what a hoot!).

It was amazing, we were running a few minutes late and the tour accomodated us, by holding the bus until we arrived. We were then treated to what can only be best described as a rollicking concert an hour and a half long, by the one and only Memphis Jones, who entertained, informed and sang his way around the musical sights of Memphis.

I have never been on a more entertaining tour. Two criticisms....

1. Get the word out...our host in Memphis didn't know about your fabulous tours.

2. It is too cheap!

thank you for a great experience.

The facts described were the best part of the tour, but the music was only okay.
