The tour guide plays a guitar, sings songs, and tells jokes as you tour the Memphis area. The tour covered the area very well.

Nice way to learn more about historical events

The bus waits for its riders next to a beautiful, shady magnolia tree. It should be the approved gathering place after riders receive tickets at the ticket window. Our host was very comfortable with singing and giving information. I saw some things I had not seen and after taking this tour I understood the musical influences and the proximity of where Elvis, BB King and Johnny Cash lived and how close it was to the jazz and blues influences on Beale Street and the closeness they had to Sun Productions. I think the price was a little high, but it was one of my husband's favorite things on our destination trip to Memphis.

This tour was not your usual city tour, but it was definitely an enjoyable and fun way to see and hear about Memphis and those who have walked its streets in the past! A great way to spend an afternoon; the time seemed to pass quickly...well organized and very interesting. The bus driver did a great job of slowing down or pulling over to let us actually see what was being talked and sung about. We would definitely do the Mojo tour again!!!

We travel a lot, nationally and internationally. We found the MoJo bus tour the most enjoyable yet. Well organized, knowledgable in Memphis and music history, and great choice of Memphis venues to cover. Including the music as part of the tour made it even more special.

My daughter and I came to Memphis for a concert and had a day to spend in Memphis. This tour was alot of fun. It gave my daughter new insight into the blues and how the music evolved. The tour guide was very entertaining.

Make learning fun.

My husband & I are both history/geography majors and believe learning should be fun as well as informative. Backbeat Tours provided both. We toured with Gary Hardy and enjoyed every minute of it. One of our sons, 34, enjoyed it just as much. The stories and personal experiences are what make history come alive with the fun of music. Memphis has a rich history for our generation and is being preserved by these wonderful tours.

I am in my mid 60s, accompanying me was my daughter and 10 year old granddaughter. The tour was enjoyed by us and all on the bus. I cannot remember the name of the performer but she was very talented. Her music and tour dialogue were both enjoyable and educational. A special memory of our first trip to Memphis for these Virginians!
