My wife and I enjoyed the new bus and our talented musician host. Great stop at Sun Studio to learn more about the Memphis music era. The bus took us by several Memphis locations and the host did a great job entertaining along the route. Would recommend this tour.

I am in my mid 60s, accompanying me was my daughter and 10 year old granddaughter. The tour was enjoyed by us and all on the bus. I cannot remember the name of the performer but she was very talented. Her music and tour dialogue were both enjoyable and educational. A special memory of our first trip to Memphis for these Virginians!

Absolutely wonderful!!

We took the grandchildren (9 and 11 years old) on this tour and all four of us had a wonderful time- it was the highlight of our trip to Memphis. Based on their ages, the grandkids had never heard of half the artists whose songs were featured during the tour, but they were singing and playing the tambourine and shakers right along with the group- then called their parents as soon as it was over to tell them how much fun they had. The guide made sure everyone on the bus got caught up in the MoJo once she started singing the very first song. We would recommend this tour to everyone who visits Memphis. It brought back so many golden oldie memories of the popular tunes when we were young adults, presented with additional facts and info about the artists at the same time. We all learned something we didn't know before taking the tour. Loved it!

Alone, an old bus and a dilapidated city do not leave a positive impression. Add in a delightful tour guide and a wonderful singer and the activity becomes memorable and fascinating. We would recommend this tour to any visitor who wants to see more of Memphis and learn more of its history

Nancy Apple not only sings and plays but provides a wealth of fun and interesting background information about Memphis and its role in the development and evolution of American R and B and Rock and Roll. Without the tour we would have thought Memphis a much less significant place. If you miss this tour you may well miss the point about Memphis.

We thoroughly enjoyed the overview of the city punctuated by music from our tour guide. Katheryn was engaging and knowledgeable about Memphis. This is a great tour to take. We added the Sun Records tour to our day and enjoyed it too. We will certainly tell our friends and family.

This tour is for music lovers of all ages. Brad, our singing guide, gave us music and an interesting look into what makes Memphis, Memphis. We visited the important historical places with Brad's interesting commentary. The tour of Sun Studio was fascinating. Imagine standing in the very spot were so many legends recorded. My husband & I enjoyed it immensely. A music lover's must.

Mojo review

The tour guide for our trip was Nancy Apple. She was friendly and informative. However, during the tour, my daughter and I felt like it was more a tour and information about her and her band. So much of what she told us was concerning her band, where they played, when they played, what they played, who they played with and who she has met in the entertainment field, etc. The tour was disappointing also because the bus never stopped for us to get out and take pictures. We just drove right by everything without enough time to even take pictures out of the windows. I had hoped we could have stopped long enough to even jump out for a minute but it wasn't to be. Also, I felt the driver took us through so much of the run-down part of town. Not being familiar with the Memphis area, while on the tour I assumed these were the only roads to get to the places were were going. However, two days later we took another tour ( All Elvis tour ) which went to alot of these same places and the roads this tour took went through beautiful landscaped parks, neighborhoods and areas that were much more pleasant to look at. I do realize that many of the areas of Memphis are old, just like my town and every other town and necessary to travel through to get to certain places but when visitors from other areas come to see Memphis, I just feel like your best foot should be put forward by taking a different route through better areas if possible. After saying this, I need to mention that there were things about the tour that were entertaining and enjoyable but on the whole, the other tours we took were much more pleasant. Memphis is a beautiful city with so much history and gorgeous sites to take in and I sincerely hope to return. Graceland was magnificent and everything I had hoped it would be. Elvis is the best ambassador you could ever have to "sell" your city to others. He still brings in millions of dollars for Memphis every year and you should be so proud to call him a native son. He is the sole reason my family made the trip and I am sure this is true for many other families. Please keep the Mojo tour but if possible, try to allow time to stop occasionally for pictures and to get out of the bus to see the sites better. Also, if your guides could concentrate more on Memphis and less on themselves, I feel it would be better. Thank you for sharing your beautiful city.
