Our guide for this trip was Chad. He really seemed like he wanted us to enjoy our trip, and watched carefully for any sea life that he could show us and that we could touch. He took us through many mangroves, and that was, by far, the coolest thing I have ever done on our many trips to Florida!

My sons and I were on your starlight tour in 2006. I came back with wife celebrating our 40th and really enjoyed the tour.

We liked trip and really relaxing. We didn't see as much as hope in terms of marine life but it was really nice to be out on the ocean!

We had a wonderful sunny calm day and our guide James could not have been better. He was knowledgeable friendly funny and treated everyone equal regardless of ability. He even went in the water to help someone who ran aground. Loved his sense of humor and knowledge of wildlife and local customs. Would definitely do again. My two adult kids and I had so much fun. The shark was awesome. The pickup and drop off at our hotel was a great benefit.

This was an outstanding trip. What was supposed to be about 2 hours became much longer, because our guide wanted to show us more critters. This was really a wildlife seeking adventure in shallow water among mangrove islands. We saw a lot, and our guide was a very experienced naturalist and enjoyed showing us around and also

made sure we understood the importance of the Key West ecosystem. Kayaking through creeks cutting through the mangrove islands was one of the interesting treats which I had never done before.

Highly recommended!

The water is so clear, and Chad was very good about making sure we saw interesting things. We saw an octopus! Right up close! This was a new, and wonderful experience - to paddle at night, using headlamps to see shrimps' eyes glowing. All very satisfying and not a bit difficult. Just be prepared to get wet because the paddle drips on your legs. Bring some dry clothes to change into when you get out.

Andy our tour guide did a great job showing us the Boca Chica and we especially enjoyed his enthusiasm for the marine life by finding star fish, jellies, and slugs.

Great Day

Our guide, James, was amusing and as a Conch, knew his stuff. He found lots of great marine animals for us to check out. He had stories that were fun, but he also talked seriously about ecological issues. Kayaking in the mangroves was particularly an unforgettable experience, and a wonderful way to experience tropical Florida.

Great Little Adventure

My partner and I decided to book this excursion while on our pleasure trip to Key West. We really had a lovely time. I'm afraid that I have forgotten our guide's name (unforgiveable) but she really made it special. We enjoyed her excitement when she found a new creature to show us and she was exceptionally well spoken and clear. The tandem kayak was easy to use and we managed just fine. The rowing was easy this day (smooth water) but we were very glad we had hats and sunscreen! It is NOT HARD to do at all if you are of average health. We saw a stingray (yellow spotted), two sea cucumbers of different types, crab, fish, various heron, a weird shell-less snail (seahag or something), sea anemone and brilliant orange starfish! We really had a good time and were famished afterwards! Great trip out!

Do this if you get a chance. A wonderful experience. It was windy when we went but the kayaking was not hard work and it was so lovely to be out on the water to see the sunset, the sparkles of phosphorescence in the water and the "secret" passages through the mangroves

It was good but mind blowing

I found the tour interesting but somewhat slow. I do enjoy nature guided tours but this tour was not that much impressive. There were only 6 people in the group but it didn't help that the guide was speaking soft and it was hard to hear him at times. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We got to see local marine life and he caught a baby nurse shark for us to show, which he later released.

If I have known what this would be like I would probably not go. In my opinion it was not worth a $50 per person.

Fun day on the water, just be selective on the day

We happen to go on a day when the neighboring Navy Base was having maneuvers, so lots of loud jets overhead that limited the amount of wildlife.
