Informative tour. Guide provided lots of history of jail. Dark and a little scary but nothing too spooky occurred when I was there

The best part was the outside of the building-

Guide had no enthusiasm, bunch of construction, just turning off lights in each room isn't scary...I wouldn't waste the money.

This had to have been the worst excuse for a haunted jail. What a joke. We were taken into threek very dark and hot rooms. The narrator couldn't even be understood. Very unique professional. It definitely isn't worth a dollar. I wish I could havegottenemy money back.

The guide was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what happened and when. He made it feel like we were actually there in the jail when those horrible things happened. When you go make sure to take lots of pictures! You never know what you'll find.

Flash Blindness

The location was very interesting and we had a knowledgeable/friendly tour guide however the majority of the tour was ruined by the constant flashes of cameras. My wife and I opted for a late evening tour to get the fullest experience and instead we got 45 minutes of alternating between darkness and two dozen camera/cell phone flashes giving us a headache. It would be nice if they offered a flash free or picture free tour.

Guide was well informed about the history of the site, providing many interesting details in a concise and clear manner. She was also very receptive to questions and took the time to answer them thoroughly.

Very impressed with the efforts to "re-purpose" this former prison and the creative approach to achieve this goal --converting the space for use as an architectural school and then involving the students in the actual preservation work of the building.
