Paulette was our amazing guide. All we can say is it was awesome in every way. She got in our heads with vivid storytelling and history, freaked us out, made us laugh, and was a hospitable host.

We HIGHLY recommend her and this program.

We were on a short vacation in Charleston and didn't have a lot of time to do all the things that we wanted. We loved that this was a tour where you heard a lot of the history about Charleston in a fun and exciting way! Also, we loved that it was at night (most tours ended at 4pm) so we had time do plan things during the day and then do this later in the evening. This ended up being the best thing we planned our whole trip! Our tour guide was awesome as well! He was not only educated about the stories he was telling but a lot of history that backed it up, which carried over into other tours we did! This was an awesome trip and I would recommend to anyone in the Charleston area!

Great way to see Charleston and learn some history

Marshall was an excellent tour guide who can tell a good story. We were thoroughly entertained by the many ghostly tales he recounted and we enjoyed the selection of sites from around the city, with the Unitarian cemetery and Philadelphia alley being two of the highlights. Just enough historical detail to contextualize the tales, and enough narrative to bring the stories to life. There are a lot of options for ghost tours in Charlotte, but I'm glad we chose this one.

Even though it was nice to see Charleston at night, we found the tour to be a let down. A few of the stories were good, but it was a real let down except the graveyard. WE expected more stories and excitement. We had a hard time hearing the guide too. The stories were the same as the carriage ride

I would highly recommend the Tour and our Guide , Paulette. We learned a great deal of local history and got scared in the process! We did an early evening tour as the sun was setting and it worked out perfectly. We are planning on doing another walking tour when we visit Charleston this upcoming summer!

Legends and lore

All of the stops/stories involved the darker side of Charleston that is not in the history books. The tour took me to areas of Charleston that I had not previously visited. The last stop was in the Unitarian cemetery which does have a creepy feel at night. The tour guide obviously enjoys his job and the tour actually lasted about 40 minutes longer than advertised. Very good story teller.

Interesting glimpse into some of the lesser known

My sister and I enjoyed the evening with our guide Marshall keeping the group engaged with interesting stories. The walking tour took us into a few of the lesser known areas with a few back alleys. Recommend comfortable and closed toe walking shoes. Wrapping up the tour in the graveyard was an interesting look at the Unitarian Church and their views on death. A real dichotomy to the adjacent graveyard at the church next door.
