The best part was the tour guide in the carriage with the donkeys. He was exceptional. He used to be a professor.

Left right on time, due to traffic, arrived late and had less time at the market.

The carriage ride was fun and informative, our driver knew the history and pointed out many interesting sights.

The ride was less then an hour, which might have been short due to recent street flooding or the tour running behind schedule.

The harbor cruise was great, a bit boring lunch, but hard to get a "box lunch "too fancy. Our Captain and his "mate" we're also very good, learned a lot and saw a lot, A-plus to both of them!!!

On to Boone Hall Plantation, another great guide for the mansion tour, well informed and very cordial.

The timing was off for me to take both the riding tour and hear the slave tour guide, so I opted for the slave cabin talk. This guide, not so good, I don't doubt most of the information was historically correct, but the guy sounded like he was still fighting the north. A few people asked questions and he was very defensive, then several people got up and left before the presentation was finished. I think he was maybe not the right person for this tour??

We left on time and returned to Myrtle Beach. The bus driver was very good, friendly, courteous and took good care of everyone on the bus.

I would recommend this tour as a way to get a glimpse of Charleston.

I hope Boone Hall Plantation gives the guide still fighting the war between the north and south a few pointers!!
