We took the tour from myrtle beach down to Charleston. Everyone lively and chatty in the beginning , but after the long day we all were very tired! It is a fantastic trip. I highly recommend it. The carriage ride, boat tour and plantation were a lot of things for 1 day but you didn't feel rushed . I think you could spend a day at all there places but we would have had to stay in the city to do that. the coach bus was good and the driver keep us on time and got us where we needed to go. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While each part of this trip is equally fun me entrrtaing (not to mention, extremely educational), there are a few changes thy should be made. Since the bus ride there is roughly 2 hours, it would be nice to have an informative driver to point out some sights. We also had to do a little digging at Boone Holl Plantation as to the type of activities available within oir allotted time as there were no brochures!

Loved our bus driver. Local history was interesting. The city tour was fun, old market was nice. The boat ride was great, but the sandwich was a little skimpy. The mansion was magnificent even during the downpour of rain. The tour was very nicely done.

My group had a wonderful visit to the city of Charleston. The carriage ride was not only fun but the guide was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the city, from the architecture to the history. Going through the market was great, I only wish I had more time to browse. The harbor cruise gave us a panoramic view of the city and I learned so much about Fort Sumter. The captain spoke about many points of interest and even called our attention to some dolphins playing in the water which was fun to see. The restrooms on board were clean as was the ship. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and purchased our group picture. Finally, the Plantation Tour was spectacular, We were a little disappointed that we only got to see four rooms. I've been in mansions in Newport, RI where you get to see everything. I also feel that there was not enough time to take in the beauty of the whole estate. We got to take the tour around the grounds but by the time we got back we had very little time to see the slave quarters and had to run through each building very quickly so we couldn't even read all the information in each house. We did not get to see the gardens because we ran out of time, which was very disappointing to me since I love gardens. Overall, this was a great day trip and our bus driver was also very knowledgeable and kept the group moving and ensured that everything ran smoothly. The tour of Charleston was terrific and worth every penny. My sister and I were contemplating driving to Charleston on our own but I'm glad we opted for the bus tour because we never would have been able to see so much on our own and best of all we slept all the way back to Myrtle Beach! I definitely would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston for the first time!!
