FIrst off Sydney our guide for this adventure was very intelligent, enthusiastic and an asset to the tour. In my opinion the Green Door Tavern should be the last stop it is by far the most interesting and had the most to see(everyone on our tour agreed). The only disappointment on the tour was the Bar Marge's, they clearly didn't want us there, they pretty much refused to wait on us. Or should I say the Brunette waitress refused to help us and they weren't all that busy, we will never go there ever again as well as any of the 21 people on our tour. I would take them off the tour, and the bar wasn't interesting at all anyway. We appreciated the knowledge and wish you luck in the future.

Well, I love history and I love drinking so this was a no brain-er! :-) Really, this was a very good way to spend my evening. Sydney, our tour guide, was great! She was fun, knowledgeable, cute and "kept it real"! I genuinely enjoyed her group engagement and learned a lot. The Green Door best met my expectations because it was the closest to tangible history which is what I truly wanted. PLEASE take Marge's Still off the list because it was horrible. The service was horrible and there's nothing to see as there's no tangible history. I'd suggest driving by and telling people how old the building is and keep on to the next stop. However, consider adding Twin Anchors to the tour because we were excited to see it based on what Sydney shared with us. I didn't expect to make new friends which was a pleasant bonus. Next time I'll get a room downtown so I can REALLY enjoy my tour at each stop! :-)

This was a very near experience. We learned a lot about prohibition and the drinks were great. Our tour guide didn't act like it was her millionth tour and was enthusiastic throughout.

My grandson and I had a great time.

My grandson loved every stop along the way. Our guide was terrific - forgot his name though. College kid.

Only thing that was advertised that we did not do was tour a kitchen. It would have been fun to see how the pizza was made. That was a disappointment.

Chicago's Different Pizza Versions

This tour provides a good opportunity to experience both the deep dish and thin crust pizza available in Chicago. Our guide Danny did a nice job of providing the local history on pizza, the locations and a bit about the neighborhood were drove thru. A positive was that we traveled to the north, south and west for our experience.

The negative is having to create an account exposing all my personal info to a random 3rd party (ZERVE) that I will never use again - as I was a tourist. The Chicago Pizza tour should look at using a better medium for collecting payment such as VERIFED by VISA or the like.

We really enjoyed the pizza at every stop, but we wish that the bus had been air conditioned (especially considering the price of the tour), and that the tour guide had provided more information about the city as we drove between stops.

For a Chicagoan, this tour ROCKS!!!

in the past, I've sent many visiting friends on this tour and they have always raved about it. This time I thought I'd join in and go too. Couldn't imagine what I'd learn about pizza that I didn't already know as a native Chicagoan BUT surprise! There is so much information given and fun facts about the city and its history of pizza. John, our guide, was funny, engaged and professional all the way around the circuit. I knew we would be going to different place and sample a variety of pizza but kielbasa and sauerkraut?? Holy Polish Saints! It was a hoot. We were welcomed at all the venues by a friendly and helpful staff. I never felt rushed or in a hurry. Others on the tour with us were friendly and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. I was able to try a couple of new places that I always wondered about (Coalfire and Pequads, in particular) and I certainly have a found a new deep dish pizza to consider after being a lifelong advocate of the "thin" variety.

This is a great and fun tour of the city and some of it's many fine pizza establishments.

Well done, Chicago Pizza Tour!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relaxing tour to enjoy some fantastic pizza

You can't go wrong with this tour. This trip is a leisurely bus ride to 4 pizzerias, where you pay once for a decent helping of pizza. And if you want seconds, you are welcome to do so. In addition to getting to try out at least 3 different styles of pizza, the guide will give you Chicago history and the history of local pizza. Very knowledgeable tour guide and delicious pizza make for a pretty fun trip.

I enjoyed the pizza tour. It was my second time going. I think the first time was a bit better, as the tour guide the first time was more detail oriented about the nuances of pizza preparation. We learned a lot about Chicago on this tour, but I would have preferred more pizza info.
