Great tour and enjoyable guide

Scott was full of information and very animated. He obviously loves his job and researches constantly.

He was sensative to the kids, and made sure I didn´t let them see anything too graphic. He involved the group in the discussions and answered all of our crazy questions.

I highly recommend the tour for anyone who wants to see a bit of the life and death of the rich and famous - or infamous!

Scott, the tour guide, is the key to this tour. He is well researched and balances horror and comedic relief well. It is a great tour to find out more of tabloid LA.

Interesting Lacking Something

Scott Michaels is clearly very knowledgable about Hollywood. The information he gave us was all very interesting. However, the tour was advertised as the Dearly Departed. I thought it would be only about the dead and how they died in Hollywood and the creepy stories, with creepy music playing in the background and creepy videos. We spent a lot of time hearing about which celebrity lived here or there. All interesting, but not what I expected. I suspect Scott's interest really lies in the movie location sites and the history behind that. We learned a lot about the movie Sunset Blvd., but again, not what I expected. Also, there was a lot of time between narration, too much "dead" air.

I thought for sure we'd go by Nicole Brown Simpson's house, and the site of Marilyn Monroe's death, Superman's death, Wonderland Murders, etc, but we didn't. I felt that a lot of the major, well-know crime scenes were overlooked.

I would suggest that the tour be shorter and limited only to the dead and creepy things about Hollywood. If there aren't that many creepy things about Hollywood, then maybe the tour should be scrapped or renamed, "Historical Mishmash Hollywood Tour."

I'm going on the Helter Skelter Tour and I am looking forward to that one. I'll probably go on the location tour, too. However, this one needs reworking.

Not what I expected

This activity (tour) was poorly represented. The expectation of visiting places where well known people met their demise was not met. This was just another Hollywood tour of celebrity homes & places of note.....The guide was not amusing or engaging. I was very disappointed.

We had such a great time. I've lived in SoCal for 25 years and never experienced anything like this. It will now definitely be included on the "must see" list of things for friends and family that come visit. Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Scott, the tour guide is absolutely great. He has the best and most current gossip along with music or testimony to accompany each site we visited, that along with the pictures of the past made it the most fun.

The 3 1/2 hour went by soooo fast. It was informative, amazing and often hilarious. I thought we were going to just see some grave sites. It's much more!!! We didn't want it to end. We would recommend it more than any other tour. You will be pleasantly surprised.
