Great Tour!

I and my 19 yr. old son decided to take this tour after talking about some of the interesting 'never-solved' crimes in the LA area. He being much younger than me, was not familiar with all the names and events, but found the tour quite fascinating anyway! And it was not just about the dark things of Hollywood, there were some very interesting facts and history of Hollywood itself. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see some interesting sites and stories of some of the most notorious macabre events in LA. And also those that just want to see the sites and not worry about the traffic! Wonderful tour guide and very comfortable bus. Can't wait to take the "Helter Skelter Tour"!

Briefly, this was a tour set up for family visiting from the east coast. Although we live and work near the Hollywood area, this tour was so informational in regards to not only the macabre side of Hollywood, but also to the architecture and other interesting aspects of the area as well.

Don't normally do tours, but loved this one!

After being a reader of Scott's web site for several years I finally had a chance to take the "Hollywood Tragical History Tour" and am glad I did! We had the pleasure of meeting Scott at the office, and then having Brian as our guide. Both are enthusiastic about what they do, and are genuinely nice and fun people. Brian adds a lot to the tour just by his personality and love of Hollywood. You will never be bored on this ride! Be aware though that it can run for around 3 hours so don't plan anything right after. It's worth it! Enjoy!

I highly recommend this tour. Brian is the best guide I've ever had on a tour and he had us out there for

more than the designated time. If you want to see alot of current movie stars homes, this tour isn't for you, but you see and hear about famous crimes and deaths and it was very interesting. So glad I did it!

My wife and I took the tour and really enjoyed it. It was very informative and well thought out...even throwing in bits of other star information that might not necessarily pertain to the exact topic of the tour. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and knows their stuff. Our tour guide, Brian, had our bus fully involved and made the tour an interactive experience. I definitely give it a thumbs up!

The van made it difficult to see a lot of things on the tour. I feel like I missed out on seeing many of the sights that were not on my side of the van.

A Great Tour - Be Sure to Get Brian as Your Guide

This was the only tour I was able to take while I was on vacation in California but I thought it had a little something for everyone. While it is a traggedy themed tour there was plenty of trivia and general sites covered along the way as well. Brian was a fantastically entertaining tour guide and I highly recommend him. A few pieces of info though. The buses for these tours only seat 12 people so book early. Also, this was advertised as a two and a half hour tour but ours ended up being closer to four hours. You certainly get your money's worth but be careful about planning any other activities too close to this one.

Loved the enthusiasm and encouraged group participation of the host. He appeared extremly knowledgeable and very friendly. This tour could have gone longer and still seem short, because it remained interesting throughout the tour.

we are very into this type of knowledge, therefore we had such a great time, and brian the host was great at his job. he kept us entertained, we were not bored for any second of the tour and he gave as much details about each celebrity he mentioned during the tour. he greeted us right away when we walked in and was very friendly from the beginning. i had a marilyn monroe shirt, and he took the time at the end to advise me where to go to see her grave. he went out of his way to accomodate everyone and to make sure we had a great time. i would def recommend this to any of my friends who have the same interests for when they visit hollywood

Unique Hollywood Tour

Overall, I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Brian, and he was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I couldn't get over how he could drive and speak in so much detail at the same time! Brian is a walking (or, actually, driving!) Hollywood encyclopedia. I learned a tremendous amount in the approximately 3 hours of time, and it was super interesting. I loved how there was a mix of Hollywood death stories/locations, in addition to a seeing stars homes.

I have to mention a couple of things that could be improved. My family and I felt that the tour would have been much more comfortable for the people (which included 3 of my family members) sitting in the very back seat, if there was one less person. We were way too cramped together to be comfortable. Also, the tour went a little too long. A half hour shorter would have been better, especially since we had an uncomfortable seating arrangement.

Not just about Hollywood death!!

It was a great tour around Hollywood! Not only did we stop at houses and places famous for death, but the tour guide was very knowledgeable about other things. He pointed out lots of extra stuff and he even gave us other things to see outside of the tour. At the store front, Scott was very nice and spent 15 to 20 minutes talking to me and my friend. It is an excellent tour!

We did the Hollywood Movie tour last time and it was awesome, this one was even better! The guides have so much knowledge and they know lots of really cool facts about the troubles of Hollywood! We also purchased the Dearly Departed DVD which goes into a lot more detail and is definitely worth it! If you get a chance, go look at the stuff they have upstairs for display...really cool! We had Richard and he was fun, too bad the other family on our tour wasn't very exciting...HAHA.

I grew up reading books like "Hollywood Babylon", so it was a dream come true for me to see some of the sights described in this book. The guide was very friendly and informative. I also enjoyed viewing the movie star memorabilia inside the Dearly Departed office. I would definitely do this tour again, and bring a friend too.
