A Wonderful LA Experience with Lots to Enjoy
Mon, Jan 5  1:00 PM MtViewer Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
Our tour guide/driver was entertaining with lots of Hollywood trivia. The whole tour passed way too quickly! The use of our guide's dialogue, taped information and music and photos relating to what we were seeing made this a rich and informative tour. Even just the drive around these areas in LA would be worth the price as it went so smoothly and we got to see neighborhoods to return to and explore on foot later on. Highly recommend these professionals over some of the 'open bus' mass marketed tours.

Terrific Tour!

Lots to see, lots of information, lots of fun, all delivered brilliantly by Brian Donnelly, our outrageously knowledgeable and funny tour guide. WAAAY more than just a bus ride around to see some celebrity death locations -- this felt like an in-depth experience of LA's most illustrious neighborhoods, past and present. We learned so much and really enjoyed ourselves. Brian is a gem!

The tour itself was good . However, there was one person on the tour who sat upfront with the driver and who interjected all her so-called knowledge, including her nervous breakdowns and bipolar disease. It was distracting, not welcomed and irritating! The driver and guide should have shut her up! I guess there is one on every tour!

This is a great tour and it is a must for anyone visiting Los Angeles. It is informative, interesting and well done by a well educated guide. I loved it and I will suggest it to anyone that I talk to about this. Very good!

3 hours with a wonderful lady & only 11 others

Alison Arngrim is a very funny and wonderful lady. To spend 3 hours with her and only 11 others is the treasure of a lifetime. I've now done it twice. She is smart, too, having chosen an excellent tour guide. She cares about her fans having a good time. It doesn't take a big mathematical brain to figure that she doesn't make a lot of money on tours of this size, but it is so obvious she loves doing it as much as we love going on the tour. This review form says I have a lot of space left, but how long does it take to say this tour is wonderful? Oh yeah, she is nasty all right. I don't want all my praise to destroy her nasty reputation. But I would love to get tossed into a mudpit by her!

Brian is an extremely energetic tour guide. He gave us great detail in all information provided. Some gruesome photos were provided to accompany the dialogue.

I've wanted to to take this tour for years, and am glad I was able to finally do it.

Brian was a great tour host and driver and kept us all entertained with his stories and details about the somewhat seamier side of Hollywood. I know the time is limited, but I would have liked to been able to stop and get out to be able to take pictures ofthe homes and sites.

Other than than, it was a great experience!

I am a Los Angeles local & I needed something to do with an out of town guest. The Dearly Departed Tour certainly filled the bill on all levels. I was totally entertained the entire time. Our tour guide was wonderful & was full of all kind of interesting stories & facts. The tour was fun from the time of checking in at the office - make sure you tour the "museum" there until the very end. I would highly recommend it to all!

The Helter Skelter tour was amazing!! Scott Michael's knowledge of the events surrounding the case are endless! Combine that with his engaging personality and you have an entertaining as well as informative tour!! There is music of the era as well as photos and video clips used during the tour. Scott also points out along the way interesting facts and locations that are part of LA history. I would not recommend this for young children. If you have not purchased Scott's DVD Six Degrees of Helter Skelter please do!!! It is fascinating and ends with a visit to Barker Ranch in Death Valley where Manson was arrested for the murders. It is a must see!! Thank you Scott and staff for a wonderful tour!!!!!!

If you are at all interested in the "Hollywood Babylon" side of things, you should definitely go on this tour. Our guide, Brian Donnelly, was great. Very informative, no lapses of silence, keeping the guests totally engaged. Funny, poignant, and also informative about things not "dark" in between official tour locales. For instance, between "tragic sites" he pointed out the recording studio in which the Beach Boys recorded "Pet Sounds." See what I mean? A really enjoyable afternoon. We got to the storefront a little early and Scott Michaels showed us some of the unique items he has there. You can get cold drinks for the ride from him. The tour stopped midway at the Farmers Market for a "pit stop" and Brian said not to worry if were not back in the specified 10 minutes exactly, he would wait as he has never lost a guest yet. By all means make this a "must" on your Hollywood schedule.

We enjoyed the information from two people who were well informed. It's amazing how the 'others' live.

Thank you.
