Being big fans of the macabre and darker side of Hollywood tis tour was a must see on our trip to LA. The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about not just the death and destruction of Hollywood legends but pop cultute and LA itself. I would highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed. Next time we are in town we'll be doing it again along with the Helter-skelter tour. Thank you.

This tour was the most fun ever! I was a fan of Little House on the Prairie and when I heard that Allison Arngrim had a tour where she took fans to places where she grew up and dished dirt and some hilarious stories about her past, I said "sign me up!" Allison did not disappoint! She was incredibly down to earth and would enthusiastically answer any questions that were asked of her about her days "on the prairie". Our driver whose name unfortunately escapes me while writing this, was just awesome, adding in additional tidbits and trivia and pointing out other non-Nellie related points of interest along the tour. It was like a comedy podcast on wheels! If you were a fan of Little House or just want to enjoy a FUN time with an extremely entertaining lady, take this tour!

This is my fourth time taking the tour. I highly recommend it. Whenever I come to LA with a friend, I always book a tour. Each guide has his own spin, so all the tours vary a little. Always surprises. Guides are so experienced, if we have to take a detour they will point out little unknown treasures. So hard to remember all the stories. Appreciate that the more shocking photos are covered so you have to opt in to view them. Will definitely come again, and again and again.

Looking forward to taking the Manson tour in the future with Scott.

Fun little museum. There core purose is to provide entertainment and value for the money.

thanks again

My adult daughter and I took this tour on Halloween, because I wanted something unique and fun to do for the day. To say we had a great time is an understatement! I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and I would take it again if friends or relatives came into town. Our tour guide, Brian was just awesome! He is enthusiastic and knows SO much about Hollywood's tragic past. He was really entertaining and you can tell he loves his job! The occasional 9-1-1 tapes played along the tour (Lyle Menendez 911 call, Juaquin Phoenix 911 call, etc.) added a chilling dose of reality to the tour. Some might say this is a morbid tour, and if so, then it's not for you. But you have to keep it all in perspective, and let's face it, these events DID happen, so why not learn about them from those who know the details, rather than take another tour with an unreputable company that won't necessarily know all the facts (or make up things they don't know)?! An added bonus, as a result of going on Halloween was seeing the crazy costumes worn by those walking around Hollywood, and best of all, the amazing homes in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, decked out for Halloween! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves a little bit of the macabre or just wants to know more about the tragic goings-on in Hollywood's past! PS arrive early so you can look around Dearly Departed's gallery of interesting and bizarre memorabilia! Scott and his staff are great, and I plan on taking more of the tours they offer. Until then, I will treasure this Halloween outing for years to come!

We took the Tragical History tour. First, we were greeted enthusiastically and invited to tour the museum. Then, the gentleman (think name is Doug) who did the 1:15 tour came in and greeted us also and then took the time to sit and talk with us: Very funny and engaging, showed us pics from in and around Hollywood, asked why we chose this tour, etc. The tour was 1pm. Driver, Richard, was excellent. He did not just drone on about the sites we were seeing, he provided "color commentary". The tour also has pre-recorded narrative.

I have done many tours of Hollywood/Los Angeles; however, this was by far the best and most informative. We already plan on signing up for the other 2 tours, and I have already recommended to friends. My family will be visiting in the spring, and I guarantee we will take this tour. Thanks to all at Dearly Departed for a great day.

We had a great time with Brian, who is full of interesting stories about the film industry, LA, his own family etc. Very active mind and very entertaining. You can see straight away that the tours are all his life, he puts his heart into every minute of the tour, sometimes recreating the scenes - we ended up doing the same turns on the same streets as on the films we were watching on the screen placed above our heads :)

Great way to see parts of the city you won't see for yourself.

One thing - the choice of the titles seemed sometimes strange, I love films, but have to admit, haven't seen quite a few of the ones that were part of the tour, some action films from the 90-ties etc. But nevertheless - he made it all sound so interesting anyway, it didn't matter in the end of the day!

We definately recommend!

Extremely informative tour and saw immensely interesting and gorgeous homes, venues and districts. Our guide was a peach, so earnest and friendly as well as a brilliant storyteller. Only downside was the air con wasn't working optimally on a very hot day; otherwise a few hours well spent. A kick to meet Scott, too. Well done, gentlemen...cheers!

I was really impressed by our tour and our guide Brian! He was knowledgeable and very funny. I was thankful that they took my sister and I on the tour since we were the only two that purchased tickets for that day. It was just the two of us on a private tour! We had a great time. Well worth the money. They mentioned everything I was expecting and more!! Time flew...Will for sure be back next time I'm in LA.

We all want to see the spooks, but that is not what this tour is about. I really enjoyed this tour because it is an informative tour. It is not cheesy in the sense that if you look closely you will be a shadow. They deliver what they promise which is to take you to locations and show you were events occurred. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, which I expect a tour guide to be!! Dearly departed did not disappoint with that and I loved that they have a binder ,enough for everyone, to follow along with pictures, audio is played enhancing the creepiness of some of the murders. I would recommend this tour for anyone that is interested in the dark side of Hollywood History!!

This was perhaps one of the coolest things i did on my trip to LA. Our guide was a whole lot of fun, and, funny. I learned some really interesting facts about crimes that occurred in LA years ago. Many of those still remain unsolved. Additionally, I got to see where my favorite bang, G n R, started out and gained fame. It was an intriguing tour to say the least, but, our guide, made it even better.
