We had a great time with Brian, who is full of interesting stories about the film industry, LA, his own family etc. Very active mind and very entertaining. You can see straight away that the tours are all his life, he puts his heart into every minute of the tour, sometimes recreating the scenes - we ended up doing the same turns on the same streets as on the films we were watching on the screen placed above our heads :)

Great way to see parts of the city you won't see for yourself.

One thing - the choice of the titles seemed sometimes strange, I love films, but have to admit, haven't seen quite a few of the ones that were part of the tour, some action films from the 90-ties etc. But nevertheless - he made it all sound so interesting anyway, it didn't matter in the end of the day!

We definately recommend!

Extremely informative tour and saw immensely interesting and gorgeous homes, venues and districts. Our guide was a peach, so earnest and friendly as well as a brilliant storyteller. Only downside was the air con wasn't working optimally on a very hot day; otherwise a few hours well spent. A kick to meet Scott, too. Well done, gentlemen...cheers!

I was really impressed by our tour and our guide Brian! He was knowledgeable and very funny. I was thankful that they took my sister and I on the tour since we were the only two that purchased tickets for that day. It was just the two of us on a private tour! We had a great time. Well worth the money. They mentioned everything I was expecting and more!! Time flew...Will for sure be back next time I'm in LA.

We all want to see the spooks, but that is not what this tour is about. I really enjoyed this tour because it is an informative tour. It is not cheesy in the sense that if you look closely you will be a shadow. They deliver what they promise which is to take you to locations and show you were events occurred. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, which I expect a tour guide to be!! Dearly departed did not disappoint with that and I loved that they have a binder ,enough for everyone, to follow along with pictures, audio is played enhancing the creepiness of some of the murders. I would recommend this tour for anyone that is interested in the dark side of Hollywood History!!

This was perhaps one of the coolest things i did on my trip to LA. Our guide was a whole lot of fun, and, funny. I learned some really interesting facts about crimes that occurred in LA years ago. Many of those still remain unsolved. Additionally, I got to see where my favorite bang, G n R, started out and gained fame. It was an intriguing tour to say the least, but, our guide, made it even better.

The tour itself was good . However, there was one person on the tour who sat upfront with the driver and who interjected all her so-called knowledge, including her nervous breakdowns and bipolar disease. It was distracting, not welcomed and irritating! The driver and guide should have shut her up! I guess there is one on every tour!

My niece and I were on holiday from Vancouver, Canada. We are both nurses and have a natural curiosity about mortality and humanity and just had to partake in this tour! Our tour guide was so informative and shared many interesting extra facts about life in LA. He was friendly and enthusiastic. My 21 year old niece unfortunately could not relate to some of the stories, which took place before she was even born, but I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire tour. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I went on the Hollywood Tragical History Tour with my adult son and his girlfriend; it was something I wanted to do and they indulged me, but now they say they would like to take the tour again. The tour guide, Brian, was funny and extremely knowledgeable. I would take this tour again, as well as Dearly Departed's other tours. I highly recommend it.

The tour guide used a variety of tools to make this tour entertaining including a reference book, audio of 911 calls, and other media clips related to sites along the way. It was really creepy driving down the street from Halloween while listening to the media score, but I loved it. I also appreciated how they gave us a complimentary bottle of water since it was such a hot day, and were friendly and hospitable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I can tell that these people love what they do and have a passion for it, and as a result it is no surprise that they take pride in their work and do a fantastic job.

I really appreciated how they filled in moments between our destinations with other interesting tidbits. They really used the whole time. And even though the tour was intended to be a darker look at L.A., which it was, they still managed to keep things from being too heavy. It was really fun!

This was not some guy saying what he 'heard about' in the area, it was clear information about true events that can be researched and confirmed. It was refreshing for someone who spends most times looking up details and obsessing over topics for a living. We were lucky to get Brian, just something about his memory and jokes made the 2 hours fly by and the break in between is at my favorite outdoor mall (The Grove), so that was an added bonus.

Anyone who lives in the area (I currently live in West Hollywood) or visiting (my sister visiting from Toronto, Canada), it is a must for a good laugh and a chilling true story.
