Well worth the time and money

Nice boat, friendly and accommodating staff. Got to see one Minke whale and some dolphins, including babies. Beautiful weather and spectacular view of coast on trip.

Two pointers: 1) Book on weekends because they have a marine biologist on board on weekend trips, and she was very interesting and helpful. 2) Be sure to arrive at the wharf area early because parking gets tight, at least on sunny weekends. There are plenty of places to eat and shop if you need to kill a little time though.

The catamaran is an neat boat ride if you have never experienced one. We saw a pod of dolphins, and sea lions. The captian of the boat did an outstand job looking for sea life. He found a "sun fish" the marine biologist was extremely helpful in tell about everything. There was also a marine biologist who had been following the whales from up north down south and was head back up north with them. She was recording the sounds they make. We were fornuate for her to share them with us.

No whales, but...

the pod of dolphins we encountered was a lot of fun. I would suggest that the crew prohibit cigar smoking on the cruise. A few people got a little 'green' - not from the cruise, but from the inconsiderate passenger smoking a nasty cigar.

Awesome marine biologist on board

We saw 2 groups of dolphins on our trip, bottle nose dolphins that weren't as playful, and common dolphins that were more into the bow ridin :)

The marine biologist on our boat was very friendly and knowledgeable, answered all our questions.

I know the group tried to find some whales, but we were out of luck. Still, very enjoyable trip and would highly recommend it to others.

We went on the weekend because we were in town then and knew that a Marine Biologist was on board. She was extremely knowledgeable and the trip on a whole was very exciting. We saw a pod of about 500 dolphins and then were able to see a rare sighting of 2 humpback whales!! We stayed out longer than our allotted time because of a tip that whales were sighted. They asked everyone if we could stay out later and we all agreed and were pleased to see the whales. It was so worth it.

Very enjoyable

This was a great two hour cruise with a great crew. The crew worked very hard at finding marine mammals to view. We found a large group of dolphins that were a great joy to view.

Great time

I had a really good time. We didn't see any whales but it was past the time of migration so to be expected. We saw sea lions up close, and tons of common dolphins, some bottle nose dolphins, and a lot of birds diving into the water. It was more than I expected, the dolphins were swimming so close to the boat and jumping out of the water. It was a lot of fun and worth the price (a lot cheaper than other places in the area).

This has been one of the best local cruises’ I have taken in quite awhile! The staff was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the animals we came upon, which made it a great experience for the kids. On a more romantic note, the scenic views coupled with the fresh – ocean air made for an enjoyable trip for my friend, and me especially since I had a few extra bucks in my pocket due to the cruise being so affordable, sweet.

Fun but a bit disappointing

The reason I say disappointing is - the ad reads blue whale season begins in May. One of the first things the captain announced was, blue whale season begins in late May/early June. Perhaps you should change the dates to reflect this more accurately.

The catamaran ride was great though.
