Clean, well run fishing boat. The action was about as expected for a winter day on a half day run.

Had great fun, as always.

The trip was fun - this is the 3rd time my Grandson and I have done it. We didn't catch mayn fish - 8 between the two of us - but we had a good time. One recommendation is that the crew needs to be more friendly. They were way to serious. I know they do this every day but we don't. They need to be part of making this fun. One other thing is it would be niece to have a poster to see what types of fish we might be catching. I am from the Northeast so I am not familiar with the local species. But, all in all, we had a fun day. Thanks.

Need more Staffing (guidance)

It seems all the focus from the on-board staff is geared for experienced fisherman.

The staff fish while your "paying" for their enjoyment. They are far more experienced than us regular fisherman so having their help and guidance would be a better use of time.

Great 1/2 day fishing trip on the "Sum Fun"

This trip was a lot of fun. I got the second yellow tail I ever caught in my life on this trip and the crew were very helpful in helping me land this fish. The deck hands and captain gave great advice as to what to do and when to do it. The fish weighed 26 pounds and took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it in. Deckhand and the captain were right next to me the entire time. They were very helpful all throughout the trip with all the passengers young and old. I highly recommend the "Sum Fun" for your next fishing trip.

On time. Took us to good fishing spots. On the downside, too stuffy. The lines kept getting tangled. They should perhaps take fewer people on the boat.

Boat was basically shut out...

The crew was nice enough but, over the course of 5 hours, I would be surprised if there were more than two legal fish caught by the 100 anglers. I suppose we will study the fishing reports before spending our money next time.

Good time

Crew was very helpful especially detangling us! A little hard to cast with so many people for an inexperienced fisherman. Wish we had caught something but one guy on the boat caught a 20-25 lb yellowfin. It was beautiful to see up close. Will go again but try the 3/4 day for better odds at catching something to bring home.

Really terrific experience. Although I did not catch any fish I did enjoy the people and scenery.

We'd been deep sea fishing with two other company's prior to this trip with "Dana Wharf Sportsfishing. This experience was frustrating because the kelp, seals, or birds were stripping us from our bait, or catch or fishing time. The rotation so all on-board had a fair oppportunity to fish from multiple positions, which was great. Time taken to filet fish dragged out the adventure, and we returned to shore much later than the web sight stated. We and others commented that there should be more than one crew member filleting fish to expedite this process. This would eliminate the return of your customers. We will probably fish elswhere in the future.
