I was pleasantly surprised by the abillity of the Captain to put us on the fish for this half day excursion. For twenty bucks it was much more a value than the full day trip I subsequently booked with this same company.

The full day trip was a bad idea. The Captain and crew had taken along some acquaintances, and they proceeded to occupy the best spots at the stern of the boat for the entire duration of the trip while the Captain and crew looked on and never batted an eye or said a word - how unprofessional. This full day excursion was truly disappointing. I'll never return.

Captain had a bunch of rookies on board including his son who took the best spots on the boat.....paying for such a service should produce professional results.

The crew was friendly and helpful. However, we weren't brought to the best fishing sites. Many people on the boat did not reel in any fish, and those who did catch a few most often had to throw them back because they were too small.

Excellent experience. Wonderful Crew!

We want to thank you all for the wonderful experience. The crew was tierless in their patience of our novice abilities. I know it is always hard to controll a large group but a reminder to the guests about families with children may help keep some of the language in a more appropriate zone for kids.

Thanks again!

Good fishing, but not catching!

I caught a few fish, but those fish were all too small to keep. I also had a big bass on, but lost it. My mom also only had small fish caught. The total fish caught and kept on the boat, was very few. If you are there for the fishing and not the catching, then you will have a blast! Great weather and great crew, as always!

Way to crowded

We had friends coming to visit and decided we wanted to go fishing! We were really excited to take them out. My husband and I have only gone on private fishing tours before.. But since money was tight this time we booked this trip. I spent more time untangling lines then actually fishing. The boat was way to crowded (about 40 people) I think 20 people would have been good. The price was good.. But I would rather of paid just a tad bit more to have less people. I also had to deal with a drunk guy who was just annoying. We had such a good spot on the boat away from most of the crowd and the first part of the trip was great, but then they make you rotate around the boat and try different places! Then it got bad. I wish we could have just stayed in our spot. Overall we had a good night of laughs (and ALMOST got the jackpot for having the biggest fish) but I think I would plan ahead and save for a private fishing trip.. Or something with MUCH less people!!

Crew was very helpful especially detangling us! A little hard to cast with so many people for an inexperienced fisherman. Wish we had caught something but one guy on the boat caught a 20-25 lb yellowfin. It was beautiful to see up close. Will go again but try the 3/4 day for better odds at catching something to bring home.

We'd been deep sea fishing with two other company's prior to this trip with "Dana Wharf Sportsfishing. This experience was frustrating because the kelp, seals, or birds were stripping us from our bait, or catch or fishing time. The rotation so all on-board had a fair oppportunity to fish from multiple positions, which was great. Time taken to filet fish dragged out the adventure, and we returned to shore much later than the web sight stated. We and others commented that there should be more than one crew member filleting fish to expedite this process. This would eliminate the return of your customers. We will probably fish elswhere in the future.

This was our first time fishing and was a lot of fun. However it would have been more enjoyable if there were fewer people on board. Fishing lines were constantly getting tangled.

My Dad, Husband, Son (6 years old) and I had a great time on this fishing trip! It was the first time fishing for my 6 year old. Unfortunately, my Dad and Son didn't catch a fish but we all had a really fun time. Everyone was very nice and helpful. My son won a prize in the raffle before we left the dock. He loved it!
